Justina: Back to square one - very excited & determined to do this right

I hope you get better sleep tonight!

I also worry a little about excess skin. What kinds of products have you found?

Cory, i have sent you an email.

Hey Justina, I bought a juicer! It should be here in a few days.
I may be ringing you up for some recipe ideas... :)

YAY!!! Let me know if you need anything!

Hope you enjoy your new workout plan!

Hey Mystic - I will not enjoy it - but I am sure I will fall in love with the results lol :)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OK, This is totally not weigh in day but I am soooooo excited, I have lost 2 lbs since Friday!!! *happy dance* :hurray::willy_nilly:
I am 255 - down 19 lbs in less than 2 months.
I hope I can keep it up until Friday, or better yet lose another 1 lb - it would be amazing!!! (that would make 20lbs in 2 months -which was my original plan)

I finally got my motivation and enthusiasm back - that i lacked in the first 2 months..

I am all over fashion websites - looking at stunning outfits I wanna wear this summer.
& I am stepping up the exercise!!!

I think giving up chocolate for Lent has helped me too - I stick to it big time - discipline!! - I have been chocolate free for 3 weeks now!!!

Food today:
B: Ezekiel toast jam & latte
S: Mango
L: Home made bean burritos :)

I will see about the rest later!!!

GREAT JOB, JUSTINA!!!

I am sooo glad to hear about your weight loss AND your improved mental game!! Keep it up.

Hey Justina -

Congrats on the progress so far!

I see you are into juicing...I have recently bought a juicer and have been playing around with it for a few days now. Actually have a question for you if you don't mind! I have heard that, with the exceptions apples, lemon, and lime, one should not mix fruits with vegetables when juicing. What are your thoughts on this based on your experiences?

Thanks in advance! Have a great day :)

~Camila~

Thank you guys!

Camila - I watched a few documentaries recently (Fat, sick & nearly dead, forks over knives & some on the Gerson therapy) , and I mostly use combination from there. I also used to have "single" juices when I was a kid - I had an eye problem & my parents took me to an alternative doc - and he told me to drink beetroot juice, carrot juice, cucumber juice & apple juice - alternating - not mixing.
I now do mix them - I use many vegetables and I usually only add apple AND lemon or orange or lime or grapefruit.
Oh, I also add a drop of coconut oil or olive oil so fat soluble vitamins can absorb too. Or just have a few walnuts after drinking it.
I never juiced any other fruit - So I am not sure how to answer your question. - If I fancy pineapple juice - I just make a smoothie with pineapple and melon - it's very creamy. :)
Maybe try mindbodygreen.com - they have plenty of articles on juicing.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well good day today - i was super busy - helping my husband (he has an exam tomorrow), running errands, cooking & procrastinating (online-window shopping :coolgleamA:)

I ended up having a fresh juice for a snack this afternoon (spinach, apple, carrot, celery, beetroot, orange, lemon, ginger)

& I made myself a quick sauerkraut soup for dinner.

I did an hour of walking today.

Thank you sooo much for the suggestions! I actually am just about to watch Fat, Sick, & Nearly Dead. What got me into juicing was actually another documentary Hungry for Change. Anyways, sincere thanks to you! I just incorporated some carrots into my juice for the first time. Definitely makes it a bit sweeter.

Be well!

~Camila~

Way to go Justina! The weightloss and the 0 chocolate are great!

I've hit a rough patch with my work demands, but I haven't even considered drinking which is odd for me when stressed. It's been long enough now that I don't care at all for something I used to have most days. Maybe chocolate will be the same for you?

Keep up the great work!

You are welcome Camila :)

Quercus: I am craving chocolate but i don't give up!! For me dessert usually equals chocolate - so I discovered a few new things lately! :) btw thanks for stopping by - I know you are super-busy!

Rah Rah Justina !! 19 lbs chickie !!!
way to go ! ... good work with your walks , and the juicing is melting-pounds for you... Skinny Justina by summer !!

cheers, Maryann

Hey Justina! I enjoyed reading the last few pages of your journal! It sounds like you are doing an awesome job! 19lbs in 2 months is so great!! I really hope I can start getting some losses like that! I'm curious about the loose skin deal. I am only 23 so I am not too concerned about it and because I train w/weights, but then again I do have stretch marks in some places and I may need to prevent it? I'm not sure.

It seems like you are doing a great job juggling all of your responsibilities all while trying to reach your goal! You are doing great! Keep it up:)

19lbs in 2 months!!!! Thats fabulous!!!

Justina, I'm interested in what skin goodies you bought as I'm starting to feel a bit of loose skin and don't want it to get worse as I still have about 33kg to lose. My hubby says im imagining things but I want to then rather avoid having lose hanging skin.

Great job on your food choices and exercise!!!

Thanks Maryann- I wouldn't go as far as skinny for the summer - but more normal looking, slimmer lol....when I am down to 200 - i actually look pretty damn good (believe it or not lol) :)

abitofbliss & Mands - Thank you both of you! I have sent you an email on the skin stuff :D

WEIGH IN DAY: 254.5 - 19lbs down in 2 months! Check me out!!

Good slimming days...motivating, inspirational days!! Don't you just love those?
The sun is out and the temperature is rising!! low 70s (21C) this weekend!!! How about that????

I got all the stuff delivered for me yesterday and today!!! It's like Christmas!!!

Good day to you all! :hug2:

First of all, congrats on 19 pounds!!! That is a huge accomplishment in only 2 months. That is so great! All your hard work does pay off! Try to remember that on the not so great days :)

Getting stuff in the mail that you've ordered is pretty much the best thing ever. Especially when it all comes at once. Which reminds me...I think I need to order some stuff myself...;)

Keep up the great job, Justina! Weekends can be awfully filled w/ temptations, so be good. By the way, I allow small amounts of DARK chocolate in my eating plan, as I've read of some beneficial effects. I just can't eat a pound of it.. :)

Justina, I know how you're feeling with the improving weather. It warmed up here this weekend to about 65 F, which is just about where I like it (unless I'm going swimming) and it has given me new vigor. I just want to go outside and DO things. :D

Camila - Thanks!! About ordering, I m so guilty - I love online shopping!!! Screen-shopping (=window-shopping - i totally made that up) But for once - all that I ordered I needed - so yay!

abitofbliss - Thanks!!

Mystic - Thanks!! Still long way to go.

Don Keykong - dark chocolate is good!! the highest percentage I ever had was 99% - actually I m lying - I had 100% - raw cacao nibs... mixed with banana. yummmy!! But if I want to indulge I buy 75% choco...Since I gave up chocolate for lent i have to wait another 20 days until I can have it again!

Cory - yup!! I think beginning of March is the time when people get desperate for sunshine and warm weather....I was happy too early - it's raining today again. oh well.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

This weekend I have indulged big time.

It's turning out to be a very busy weekend.
Yesterday we had a little excursion. We drove almost 3 hours to try this organic restaurant (The only one in our state!!!! oh how I wish it was closer)
The food was absolutely fantastic!!! I loved it. We had a 3 course meal. For starter we shared: Mediterranean platter: tabboulah salad, olvies, falafel, pita, hummus, tzatziki, salad......Yummy! Then I had a bison burger - the first time in my life!! It was served with veggies and sweet potato fries - it was out of this world. & I had dessert too: cheesecake with fresh strawberries.... it was divine!!! :drool5:
It was soooooo worth spending over 5 hours in the car!! The portions were perfect & the price totally acceptable ($12 for a main)
For dinner I ONLY had fresh veggie juice & I cleaned the house for 2 hours (---> exercise) and yet I ended up weighing in 3 lbs more this morning....????!!!!! :banghead: I have absolutely no regrets about this weekend. I had no junk, only fresh, good food.
But the scale...I am not a happy bunny.... I m guessing it's sodium.. (ok I am hoping its sodium)
Not looking forward to the scale tomorrow either...I had a fry up for brunch (sausages, eggs, cibatta)...
and I'll juice veggies for dinner....

The weather is warm 18C (64F) BUT it's raining!! ugh...still i have to get myself to go to the gym later.

Now it's study time!!! I m a week behind for my physiology course.

FOOD:
B: Banana
S: Nothing
L: Fry up
S: Bliss dairy free ice cream
D: Fresh veggie juice
