Justina: Back to square one - very excited & determined to do this right

Bananas!! I bought 16 of them yesterday and there are only 4 left. Apparently there must be something in the air, because my house is plowing through them right now. Hang in there until the work pressures ease... use this as a regrouping time.

Hey Justina - good work fitting in the 30mins walk with being so busy...
... and bananas R better than cookies or potatoe chips... at least they are natural-fresh fruit... lol...

..hang in there until your workload crunch is passed gal ...

Thanks Cory!

Hahaha Banana-fast Don Keykong - way to go!!

Mystic - yep....a lot of banana indeed - I don't usually go crazy with them - bc they are pretty high in calories - but i had nothing else @ home lol.

Maryann - thanks - you are of course totally right - at least they are nutritious and not junk food, so hey! :)

---------------------------------------------------

Yesterday I didn't post - so here goes. It was weigh in day for me: I lost 2lbs.
I am down to 257 from 273 (January 9) - which is not bad. It could be better if I didnt have an awful pig out week when I gained 6lbs and I had to lose those again!
So my mini-goal was to be down to 230 by May...I don't think it's gonna happen - but I will take anything between 230 & 240 , I think that's still reasonable.
I have 2 months, and I normally on a 10lb-loss-target for a month. So projected weight for May 1 is 237lbs. We shall see.

Yesterday I had:
B: Ezekiel bread toasted with jam & latte
S: Banana
L: Home made tomato curry with rice
S: Samples at our grocery store: hot crab and artichoke dip on a piece of bread
D: Pretzel bread

E: 30 mins walk

I will update later for today. I have a busy day ahead of me.

Hey Justina !! :smash: 2lbs. down !!! woo hoo !!
16 lbs. over 2 months is terrrific ! U are rocking it gal !
...237 for May 1- - HERE U COME !!

Sounds like your grocery store has WAY better samples than my grocery store. lol! Anyways... Congrats on the 2 lb loss!! You are doing great! :)

Congratulations, Justina!

Two pounds is fantastic! Keep doing what you have been doing, as it will get you to your goals.

MaryannC - Thanks!! Indeed - 237 here I come!

Jen renee - thanks! As for the grocery store, it's WFM - we try to eat organic as much as possible- and unfortunately not many other stores here, especially during the winter months.

Don Keykong - Thanks a lot! :)

--------------------------------------

I had a very very busy day for a Saturday.
We had lunch at our grocery store as they had an annual street food festival (it was actually inside - as it was pretty cold)
So other than that not much fun....still working...& I haven't touched my physiology course yet :(

Today I had:
B:Ezekiel bread - Lingonberry jam & latte
S: Banana
L: Indian food and other random samples :D
S: Bliss dairy free ice cream
D: Blueberries..originally I was gonna juice but ran out of time.

E: 30 min walking.

I hope you have more fun this weekend! I will check diaries tomorrow x

Thanks Sarah! :) You inspired me today with this post...i was sooo close to actually eat out for brunch!! :) thank you!

Yay well done on the 2lb loss! Great work Justina.

Thanks Anna! I am pleased with it too!

What a weekend! Just work and no fun!!!! Today I have more free time, but my husband is studying so I got the chance to call my grandparents & talked to them for an hour. It was pretty cool. They live so far, the other side of the ocean - I really miss them and not being there for them.
Anyway it was nice. I hope to see them this summer!

Foodwise I was sooo tempted to go out for brunch (buffet - not good) - to be honest I wasn't even that hungry, I was more after the social aspect of it.
Being buried in this small apartment can do my head in. 4 more months to go here...
My husband did not support my idea of going out. He put his foot down..i know I could have convinced him otherwise but then I logged in here and read Sarah's post - & I was like ok, she is totally right...
So the total flip side: I ended up making salad for lunch!! I was gonna make some baked chicken breast too - but then I realized I forgot to defrost the chicken. Duh? Oh well the salad was plenty - we even got some leftover salad in the fridge too.

I want to go to the gym. I need to drag my husband with me - he is not a big fan!! He has more discipline with food, I have more discipline with exercise!

Anyway food diary:

B: Ezekiel bread with lingonberry jam + latte
S: Non dairy ice cream - 1 portion
L: Tabbulah salad - love it :)
S: Non dairy ice cream - 1 portion + banana
D: Fresh juicing

E: 1 hr gym

So proud of you Justina!! Sometimes we all need a little bit of encouragment, and glad it was at the right time for you! You might try walking 30 min for a social time...sounds like you need to get our of your apartment more! Keep it up girl and you'll continue to get the good results!!

Thanks Sarah! :) We don't live in a really nice area to be honest (there were shootings in the local mall last Friday) - I was pretty freaked out. Anyway we'll be moving in 4 months - I can' wait - Finally we can socialize with our friends, and my husbands family & go for a walk in a nice park/neighborhood
Thanks for your inspiration. You are great motivation for me! Especially that our starting weight is almost identical.

Great job keeping away from that buffet! It's almost always a better choice to skip it.

Thanks Cory!! I agree. I am glad I didn't end up going. I loved the scale this morning!

Great job on the 2 pounds down and on making a salad instead of going for brunch!

Thanks Mystic - I was well happy with that, I hope the trend continues!

Well I did something experimental today & I m quite happy about how it turned out!
I mixed some spelt flour and water, oh and some salt - & voila I made bread!!!! Flat bread that is...It took me about 10 mis tops.
It is the easiest and cheapest thing to do really - and perfect for an afternoon pick me up with homemade hummus :) & broccoli!

Day flew by.. I still need to go to the gym.

Food, glorious food today:
B: Ezekiel bread & Lingonberry jam
S: Banana-nana :)
L: Home made artichoke-basil pasta with parmesan
S: Home made hummus & flatbread + broccoli
D: Fresh juice (lots of veggies and fruit)

E: gym (1 hour)

Hey Justina - good work on the regular exercise- U are really keeping it going ...

the home-made flatbread sounds good !

Hey Justina, catching up on diaries today. Firstly congrats on the 2lbs loss! That's brilliant!! You are really doing so well.

Wow, home made bread - that must have been delish! Nothing like warm bread outta the oven. We went to friends this weekend and she made a stunning banana bread and pulled it out the oven as we walked in - OMG!!! Thought I was gonna die of drooling. I smelled it and smelled it and contemplated having a small piece but stuck to my guns and just walked away.

Keep up on the fab exercise!

Thanks Mands! Bread is yum - its not proper bread though - its a super simple version - its more like a tortilla wrap - has 2 ingredients only: flour and water - like in the old days :D

I am very tired today. I was woken by an evil wind chime at 5am..that hangs on my neighbors porch...grrrrr! I was not a happy bunny.

I did some cool research last night & put together a few videos from youtube for body sculpting - 10 min workout for each body part: abs, tum, bum, thighs etc! I can't wait to start working on them!

I also tried a rented DVD workout - did not like it...glad it wasn't mine.

I did some healthy-skin online shopping today :) I bought loads of goodies to help my skin's elasticity on my way to a smaller me :)
I did this 2 years ago & I am happy to say my skin is pretty cool. No loose skin or anything like that - :) Prevention is so much easier/cheaper than cure...

Food today:
B: Ezekiel bread+jam+latte
S: Banana
L: Jasmine rice & Jalfrezi chicken
S: French petite madeline+cashews & English tea
D: Juice - ginger, cucumber, celery, carrot, beetroot, kale, apple, orange, lemon

E: none

I hope you get better sleep tonight!

I also worry a little about excess skin. What kinds of products have you found?
