Justina: Back to square one - very excited & determined to do this right

Thanks Mystic, Cory!

Thanks Don Keykong.. well if you need any recipe let me know! They are totally simple & fast! :D

Maryann
- Thanks! I got the persimmon because we have a challenge this week - we have to eat vegetable/fruit we never had before. Persimmon is actually pretty tasty - I could imagine having it in the future again!

Lucy, you ll be out of there & shopping soon!! Hang in there! Actually how I make my tomato sauce is not rocket science - I just cut it in half an squeeze it on the toast. Then I top it with some olive oil. The first time I saw someone else doing it - it grossed me out. Lol. Now I am a big fan! Especially with serrano ham! Yummy!!!
Nope. Nutter butter is ok, but it's not something I'd crave. If it was in front of me and I was bored I'd eat it.

MrVee - hehe maybe, who knows, eh? It's super easy to make too! :)

-----------------------------------------------------

Nada, niente, zero, nothing, zilch....yeah that's how much exercise I did today.
Horrid day here - basically it was dark the whole day. I had to have the light on dark.. It was raining, pouring...non stop.
So I was inside working on stuff..
The Human Physiology course started with Duke University. I have to say it's preeetty hard core!!! I must say I enjoy it though. This is something that really interests me. I do have to work hard though with everything being in English (duh? obviously...). Many words are brand new to me. In 12 weeks I should be an expert!! :smash:

Here we go with the food today.... (spoilt kid alert!!)
B: Pan amb tomaquet and olive oil + latte
S: Banana + pistachios
L: Pizza (healthy version though)
S: 3 portions of mocca almond fudge ice cream :blush5:
D: Fresh vegetable juice (carrot, celery, cucumber, ginger, beetroot, apple, ginger, orange, lemon, spinach, baby kale)

OMG luuuuuuuvvv the shoes!!! Great job on the 1h40m walk. You are really doing great and you will be able to wear those shoes in no time AND look hot in them :)

Good looking shoes girl! Keep up the good work! Exercise and healthy nutrutional food...that's the key to success baby! You're doing great keep it up!!

So is that tomato sauce just regular stuff from the jar, or is it something special? I like anything that involves tomato on top of bread, so if I can make it a part of breakfast I'm on board.

And this is embarrassing... I have those same shoes in a 14EE. Except the heel is lower. And they're not open-toe. And they lace up. And cover the ankle. And they're brown. And the sole is contoured rubber. And... they're hiking boots.

Lol! You had me worried for a minute there, John.

Thanks Mystic! I totally need luck with the course!

Thanks Tasha!

Thanks Mands! I can't wait to rock those shoes!!! I have ordered them - they didn't have my size in the store - so they should arrive any day now!! Excited!

Thanks scbibhouse! "Exercise and healthy nutritional food" I couldnt have said it better myself!

Hahahahaha Little John you really made me giggle! Thanks for the mental image :D & the tomato sauce - it's so easy...What I do is that I cut the tomato in half and squeeze/rub it on the toasted bread - then add some olive oil (1/2-1 table spoon) spread it all over & add some salt if you want & voila breakfast is ready!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good day y'all. Food is ok (little naughtiness but nothing damaging)
Last weekend I made a batch of 12 bean-burritos - and they were chilling in the freezer. So it was easy cooking for me. I got 3 out for me, 3 for my husband, into the oven & they were hot and ready in 25 mins. Perfection.
Naughty part: Starbucks - & some yoghurt coated raisins...
Now I am about to go to the gym!! Yay - I am actually looking forward to it!

Food:
B: Ezekiel bread + almond butter + banana & latte
S: Pistachios + banana
L: 3 Bean burritos
S: Starbucks tall caramel frappucino light, walnut/banana bread + yogurt coated raisins :blush5:
D: Veggie juice (carrot, cucumber, celery, beetroot, apple, orange, lemon, ginger, spinach)

PS - I have some pix on the before/after thread - someone just commented on them - otherwise I totally forgot about them - they are from 2 years ago.

Hey Justina - U go get to that gym & work off that frappee-carmee & those yogurt raisins....naughty Justina... ;)

I'm thinking if yogurt-raisins is your biggest food sin for the day, you're doing pretty well! Unless you ate 3 lbs of them.
Oh and good job on making foods in advance. That's a great idea to keep it healthy AND avoid getting something unhealthy in a pinch.

Mmm...banana bread. I haven't had that in a while. It sounds so good right now! lol! Great job going to the gym! :)

From what I read, it looks like I could get away with using some good canned crushed tomatoes and a little salt/oil.

Anyway, glad you got a chuckle out of the image. As long as you're not mad at yourself for the occasional indulgence, you're on the right track!

Maryann I did work them off! Thanks!!! :)

Cory Yep naughty is defo good sometimes :p

Don Keykong yogurt-raisins and banana bread lol - things add up - but I was ok eventually :) I do find making foods in advance a good idea - especially when I have a busy week - planning ahead helps!

jen_renee Thanks! I usually make a low calorie - additive free blah blah healthy version! :coolgleamA:

Little John - canned tomato is defo not the way to go for the catalan version - I know you can buy it ready made in Spain - they are in glass jars most of the time, like this:
View attachment 20047
but I always just prepared it myself: tomato pureed (without skin), olive oil, salt, maybe some garlic. I stayed with a Catalan family for over a month and they taught me!

-----------------------------------------------------

I can't believe it's only Wednesday - this week seems to go mega-super slow. :ack2:
I had a pretty busy morning & I ran errands this afternoon.
Nothing exciting to report. The sun was out - it is still out and temperature is about 8 C ! That's an improvement!
I am planning on going to the gym tonight.

Food:
B: Ezekiel bread + olive oil + latte
S: Finished my yogurt coated raisins
L: Lentil soup with frankfurter
S: Thawed peach, pistachios, wafer (Manner) & non fat latte
D: Fresh vegetable juice (cucumber, celery, apple, ginger, beetroot, spinach, orange, lemon, carrot)

E: Treadmill or Elliptical (1hr)

PS/ I have been chocolate free for 2 weeks now!!!!

Hey Justina - hope U have a good workout tonite ,
and Juice for your supper- great way to cut calories !...

Being naughty sometimes is fine! I've been naughty this week, but it's fit into my calories so I am ok with it.
Yesterday I had 1 1/2 caramilk bars, a creme egg, and mini kinder bars, today I had Eatmore bar, muffin from Tim Hortons, and mini kinder bars. Haha. So yummy!

Conratulations (I'm not sure why I keep trying to use that word on everybody's thread, I have zero chance of spelling it right) on being 2 weeks without chocolate. I myslef (another word I'm having real trouble getting right) have gone at least 25 minutes without alcohol, so we are both on a roll. :D

High 5 on the chocolate free for 2 weeks!!! You will see now it will get easier and you won't even miss it!! Ok, maybe now and again you still miss it a tiny bit :)

Thanks Maryann!!

Yup, Mystic. Naughty is good :D I did see how much choco you had..yumyum! I love kinder too!!!
