Justina: Back to square one - very excited & determined to do this right

So, I realized I haven't updated the diary today - other than answering your super-supporting posts :grouphug:

I had an eventful morning. At 1 am all electricity decided to die..and we had no light, hot water, stove, heating, no internet etc..got nothing.
In the morning we had to eat out..couldn't make coffee or use the toaster.
So we went to a coffee house - in the nearest town & had a skinny latte & ham-cheese panini.. I guess i could have done worse...
When we got home we found out that the culprit was our water heater (boiler?). It was leaking & there was a puddle under it, that caused the fuse cut.
Thankfully we could have it replaced fast. It's such a relief.

I weighed myself.Scale has not moved for a few days now. still 266.... fingers crossed it moves down a bit by tomorrow morning.

Food today:
B: Skinny latte + ham/cheese pannini
S: Banana + raw cacao nibs
L: Veggie stir fry (broccoli + yellow squash with onion-celery base) & noodles
S: Half defrosted blueberries - I am still purple from eating them lol, oh and a luna bar :blush5:
D:Grilled smoked salmon on green salad

I will update exercise later - i am planning on going to the gym.

Sorry to hear about the water heater but glad you were able to get it fixed. Foods sounds good as usual. I WISH I was 266 right now :p I'm sure you'll see a loss soon Justina, you are doing awesome!

It's all good now Xenon, thanks!! You will get to 266 - even before the challenge ends!! You can do that!!

--------------------------------------

I have just been to the gym:
30 min treadmill
10 min eliptica
20 min bike

Excited about the weigh in tomorrow!!! :coolgleamA:

Hey, great job on the exercise!

Good luck for your weigh-in tomorrow, I'm sure you'll do great. Best of luck! :)

Yay! Good job on the exercise in the last week! And on the weight loss overall so far! These luna bars sound a bit addictive though!?! Have you tried seeing if you can eat half of one then challenge yourself to see how long you can leave the other half sitting there? When I did this with my favourite chocolate bar and managed to leave it for 3 days, it kind of broke the spell after that!

Hope the weight in goes well :)

Hey jjjay! You are totally right about the luna bars...I am just before ToM...not sure I could handle the challenge well.
Thankfully they are only like 160 calories. & I made sure i exercised until I got rid of them.
I might try buying one and resisting it - it's gonna be hard. Willpower at this level never really worked for me...this could be a good mental exercise for me.

All right, so it's weigh in day for me & I lost so far 8 lbs since Jan 9.

YAY!!

Good- busy day..I am snacking on blueberries as I m typing - purple all over...mmm yum yum blueberries!
We did our weekly grocery shopping today - the fridge is bursting with vegetables & the fruit rack? Oh I can't even see it anymore - fruits & veggies all over!
We had a really nice meal today - I love it.
L: Artichoke-lemon-basil-parmesan pasta - deelish!
I snacked on blueberries before lunch too...lol loved it!

Anyway I tried to drink a lot of water today - I made herbal tea too.
I still have to do my exercise..dvd exercise day today..I cant face the gym .

Today is juice dinner - love it!!! We started this tradition with my husband hmm..in about October. We juice Saturday & Sunday dinner-time. The thing is, we didnt want to replace dinner with juice. But once we had the juice we are not hungry anymore. So we just do it now 3 times a week. It's a great way to get veggies/fruits in. We usually use kale, apple, carrot, beetroot, beetroot leaves, ginger, cucumber, celery, orange, lemon. My husband puts broccoli in his too.
So I already had my juice for the night & feeling very satisfied.
Yes...i m eating the blueberries...lol - they are ok....It's almost 7pm anyway so no eating after 7pm for me.
I have some treats lined up this weekend - I really look forward to this!! :coolgleamA:

Thanks! :D

Fresh vegetable juice: Kale, apple, carrot, cucumber, celery, ginger, beetroot, beetroot leaves, lemon & orange

YUM, sounds good!!! I have a juicer but haven't busted it out in a while- I was making juice every day for a long time to get my husband to have more veg. My fave was carrot, celery (greens too) and orange... I always used to buy it when I was living in the city. haha comfort juice maybe??

Congrats on your 8lb weightloss - you are doing amazing and I love the idea of the Juice meals. Maybe I should recommend this to my hubby.

Hey Lucy! Yep, it's a great way to get your daily 5 :) The juice is absolutely delicious! I love it! I just got my sister & one of my friend into juicing!! It's defo not for the lazy lol. Isn't it so much easier to get something in the microwave & sit back in front of the tv? Well with veggie juice - you have to wash prepare the fruit/veg & then juice them & then my favorite: to wash up! Luckily I have an agreement with my husband. I do the prep & he washes up :hurray:
Yeah the city & juice bars!! There is only one around here - about 20 miles away - and it is really pricey..

Wow, 8 pounds down is awesome!! Keep it up!

Thanks Mystic!! I'll try.

Hey, thanks a lot!!! Juice meals are really cool! When we first did it we ate out for lunch - big meal...and we were after a light dinner...and now it's part of the weekend routine!

Happy weekend everyone! I am having a good one myself.
Drinking 2 l water - check
Exercise for 60 mins - check
I am 1 lb down on the scale - but I don't celebrate just yet...could be fluctuations.

I also baked today - I was after these cinnamon rolls since my detox weekend - and I totally got disappointed... :( It meant to be a healthier version & it was meant to be yummy!! I even bought a new skillet for it! Anyway.. everything went well until they were in the oven...then they raised so big - like a balloon. I poked them with a knife. Well when they were out - the dough was raw inside - I was so mad!! I tried to turn them around and put them back in the oven..but it didnt work - they just got burnt & they were still raw...so I ended up throwing the lot out :ack2: what a waste.

Instead we stopped by a bakery and bought a mini cake. Trust me when I say mini - it is mini!! In height it's half the size of a cupcake & its diameter is about 4 inches! Haha. It's for tomorrow - we haven't touched it yet. So it's chilling in the fridge. We'll share it too. I wanted something small to celebrate our anniversary. (we have small bottle of champagne too - half of a normal size champagne bottle)

We went to a state park (ancient native Indian ruins) & walked for an hour. we had beautiful sunny weather. 14 C (60F) :coolgleamA:
