Juliette cross-training for Romèo

I'm off to the gym to do some quality cardio. I'm hoping ot get there before it gets swamped by women trying to look hot instead of actually warming up.. It turned out they have some kind of a open doors day yesterday&today, to atract more customers, of course. They must be pretty confident of not losing the old ones in the process. Yesterday's training session made me almost suicidal. It was impossible to turn without bumping into somebody.. :eek:

I once went to a class that was packed like sardines in a can. Had cramps in the end :eek: cos I couldn't kick freely and was holding back alot of muscle so as not to kick the person standing next to me.

I've always wondered how many extra calories I burn out of sheer aggression? At least the adrenaline keeps me doing my best.. :rolleyes:

And I did. 65 minutes varied cardio, some upper body strenght exercises (which I didn't manage to do yesterday). I feel gooooood! :D

Hi Julie. Glad you had a better session at the gym than you did the day before. It's really a drag when it gets crowded like that.

My friend's coming to stay in my apartment today and is leaving on Saturday. So I won't be here half as much as I'd like to. But I'll dance in now and then to let you know how many people were at my gym, what I'm planning on eating on Thursday and all other kinds of info you simply can't live without. :p

Hey Juliette, hope you got rid of the bloat and water weight by now. I NEVER count upward fluctuations as my true weight (unless they hang around for a few weeks). Nope, only my new lowest weight is my actual weight, or sometimes I go by my ticker weight since its always in my face. But after a few days of being higher than your ticker, ya do start feeling a bit of a fraud :D.

Fat was really low, because I didn't in the end remember to eat the almonds I had planned for the evening. Otherwise a great day! :)
Today I've already been to the gym, abs&back class and 40ish minutes of cardio, 800ish cals. :D I'm SOOOO going to eat spaghetti for dinner. ;)
My weight is still hovering in strange numbers, but it's just bound to come down eventually. I'm trusting the laws of thermodynamics. The period induced water weight stays with me from 7 to 10 days normally, then just miraculously disappears overnight, like it came.

The exercise part yesterday was a bit over-done. The long walk in the evening wasn't in my original plan, but I didn't want to not do it, since my friend asked me. But I made up for it in carbs. ;) Had my spaghetti and then some. :p Loved that. I have avocado planned for lunch, so no high carbs&low fat expected today.
I'm going to the movies with friends tonight and I still haven't decided whether to go to the gym today or to have a rest day. I don't feel too tired, so I might go. I planned a movable rest day for this week for either Thu/Fri/Sat, with three weight days (Mon so far, then Thu/Fri and Sun), one SS cardio (Tue) and one IT or HIIT day (Fri/Sat). I thought I'd have consecutive days until I feel tired, then have a rest day and then go on.
So far so good. :cool:

hope you have fun at the movies tonight and go to the gym if you feel up to it, or go for a walk or something. i do feel better now that i worked out a bit :D
