WEEK 2½ - My Summer Challenge 2007 May 28th-August 15th
WEEK 2½
Measurements for June 14th 2007
Waist 30.7 -> 30.1 -> 29.9
Hips 39.4 -> 39.4 -> 39
Breast 39 -> 38.8 = 38.8
Thigh 21.3 = 21.3 -> 21.1
Calf 14.6 = 14.6 -> 14.4
Bicep 10.6 = 10.6 -> 10.4
Arm just below shoulder 12.6 -> 12.4 -> 12.2
Weight 150 lbs -> 147.8 lbs -> 147.4 lbs
Fat 28,8% -> 27,8% -> 27,6%
Water 51,9% -> 52,7% = 52,7%
Muscle 33,6% -> 33,7% -> 33,8%
Goal
21st June
145 lbs or waist under 30"
15th August
140 lbs or fat under 26%
The week (and a half) was interesting.
I trained as follows:
Mon running
Tue walking, small muscle strength session at home
Wed muscle class, HI cardio
Thu weights, light cardio
Fri rest
Sat rest (sister visiting)
Sun rest
Mon weights, light cardio
Tue SS cardio
Wed muscle class, light cardio, walking
On week 2 I ate an average of 2003 cals a day and used an average of 645 cals a day for exercise (counting only Mon-Thu, for which I have the stats).
On week 2½ (week 3 Mon-Wed) I ate an average of 1840 cals a day and used an average of 920 cals a day for exercise.
Apart from Fri-Sun last week when my sis was here and I neither exercise nor counted, but did well on the eating side since my sister also wanted to eat light, this has been a really great time.
I got my period, so my weight went up 4 pounds from Sun to Mon. Now the scales are back to "normal" weight, but I think I'm still retaining some water. It's been only four days, and the water weight usually stays for about 7-10 days. Also my fingers, cheeks and a couple of other places feel and look bloated. The cals and the amount of exercise would allow a bit more loss than .4 pounds.
I'm still hopeful that I could reach my goal of 145 pounds by June 21st. Let's say one pound water and 1.4 pounds of weight is doable in a week.
If I don't get there by next Thursday, I'll get there a bit later. I have, however, already reached the other goal I had for June 21st. My waist is now under 30 inches (29.9
) Altogether from the start of my summer challenge I've lost 2.4 inches of me, of which .8 from my waist. The numbers don't sound very big, but I'm quite happy to have accomplished that in 2½ weeks.
If I could keep going at 1in/week, I'd be smallish by the end of summer.
Thanks for you input, people! It's motivating to be watched!!!
