Journey, Not A Destination

Hey Steve, you look great and seem very dedicated, your an inspiration and example of what hard work will get ya. Do you belong to bodybuilding.com??

Thanks very much.

I do not belong to bodybuilding.com. Well maybe I do have login credentials over there but I don't hang out there. That place is a joke for the most part. It's the laughing stock of the fitness Internet realm for good reason.

There are a few posters there whom I thoroughly respect.

Beyond that it's a bunch of people who don't really care to learn. They'd rather bicker about opinions than anything else.

hey handsome thanx for the info on soft tissue thingy :D
i did got to the ortho guy, and i will have to wear those pads things, but he also told me to increase the strength of it (by walking on pebbles and stuff)

In a Bilingual Canton, I wonder how the citizens do it?

its actually very easy...for example in the bilingual part of croatia all signs, websites, newspapers are in both croatian and italian, people speak both languages for most part. and plus almost everyone speaks either english or german along with these two.

Hey Steve, just coming by to see how things are going in your new place. I bet you're looking forward to first xmas :D Did that car decal we worked on turn out?

Oh geez, sorry I didn't keep you posted on that decal! It was right before the move and things got crazy from there.

It did workout but the online print company I used sucked big time.

I need to take it to a local printer, which I haven't done yet. I do plan on it soon though.

Happy Holidays!

Put weight on?

Good luck to you on your weight gain quest. Im at the other end of the scales though trying to come down.

Working those moobs, eh? :D

I had a fantastic time last night. More on that, later--glad you had a great workout, happy Friday! :seeya:

Moobs were worked a bit yesterday. They're my most 'responsive' body part.

Glad to hear and look forward to reading your tale. :)

Thanks val.

Weekend agenda:

Tonight I'm going to take it easy. The weather is real shitty here and I have a lot of catching up to do in terms of reading. Mostly web stuff. Krista won't be home until near 11 from swim practice so it's a good night to relax alone.

I'll hit the gym around 5 and be home by 7ish.

Tomorrow morning I'm getting up early and going to check out a wood burning stove that I'm thinking about buying and putting in one of my fireplaces. They heat up the house great and will save a ton on oil costs. Plus, it's a fireplace I most likely would never burn so putting a wood stove in there makes sense.

After that I'm training this chica I've been working with, which is always fun. She's determined and really cares about improving.

In the evening, my family is having a progressive dinner. We started the tradition a couple years back for Christmas. It's usually a good time. This year the main course is at my house which will be BOSS (there ya go Val) since it's new digs and most people in my fam haven't seen it yet. I think they're going to be surprised.

I love showing off my house and at the same time I sort of don't like it since I can see the wheels spinning, people thinking, "how much money does steve make?"

But whatever.

Sunday Gordy is supposedly meeting up with me and we're going to speak to this fitness equipment dealer to see what kind of deals he can get for us.

Nothing overly exciting but should be a nice weekend. I hear we might get some snow on Sunday which would be nice. Oh, and the Eagles play... need a win big time!

Thanks very much.

Yea.. i do have a bodyspace over there and i've belonged for about a year or so.. i rarely post on the forums, i just read... and i have not learned much since i've been there.. so i thought i would try out the chat and talk one on one with people about nutrition and such and i have actually picked up some valuable insight from a couple people in chat. Although there is still alot of bickering.. and some people being extremely rude.. i can overlook it for the most part.. i'll tell ya one thing though.. the mods over there are pathetic and are not doing their job..

Yea, did you know some of the members not only watched, but egged on a kid to commit suicide on webcam?

It was a few weeks back.

He OD'd on pills and laid there for hours until someone finally decided to contact the authorities.

If you want to use BB.com as a tool for learning, specifically the forum, read posts by Alan Aragon. He's about one of the only guys I respect over there.

It's just not the best place on the net. It really is the laughing stock of all fitness forums. That in oxygen magazine. And t-nation.

They're jokes.

They have huge numbers in terms of memberships, but not much more to show.

WORD! But it takes a while to warm the house, kinda.

Shit, I WISH I could have you sculpt me, Steve--IF I made it out there would ya give me a Dirtbag Discount? :biggrinjester:

NICE!!!! Hey have fun showing off the new digs!
Money makes the world go round *shrugs* Big ups to YOU for being smart and successful! :beerchug: I'm a broke bunny, but if happiness is the point in life, them I've rich indeed :D My day will come, though....

Sweet!

I grew up in a house that was only heated by wood, so I'm used to it.

Of course. :)

To be honest, money isn't important to me at all. I grew up in an environment that had very little of it and I was beyond happy. I just don't place a lot of value on money.

I make decent money now between fitness and finance. If I were single, things would be a lot different. I mean I wouldn't trade Krista for the world. That said, if I were single, I can say with a ton of certainty that I'd own a building right now that was a gym and I'd live out of it if I had to.

Or I'd be lost on some mountain with Gordy living off the land.

My goal in life has never been to be rich. It's always about happiness and freedom.

I feel like I'm on the right track and I'm happy, so that's what matters.

Yes, of course, and we also have to remember we're YOUNG, man! 26 and 27, shit, we could have all kinds of lifepaths and career changes ahead of us, who knows???

Very true. I'm almost certain my life will throw me some serious curveballs down the road.

I'm also always wrestling with the idea of manually changing the course of my life and trying to do things right in this area regarding fitness.... go big scale with it.

And that might happen.

I take each day as it comes and milk it for all it's worth.

Where that gets me is wherever and I'll make sure I'm happy.
