Journey, Not A Destination

I grew up around a few pit bulls too. I also have some friends who have them now and they're amazing dogs. It's not what Krista wants though and life together is about compromising.

Plus, I like a lot of dogs so I'll be happy with most anything on the bigger side that I can wrestle with, take jogging, etc.

Word! You know, I actually like huge Rottweilers, too--talk about wrestling! :eek2:

Oh, thanks for that correction. I was talking about them at a family gathering last week and my aunt corrected me by saying the same thing you just did.

Then two other aunts said I was right.

Looking online there are a ton of sites that call them burmese.

Upon further review though, it definitely is bernese, which you would know since you own one!

I'm sure you love your dog, right?

I've had a lot of different dog breeds in my days, but after having a Bernese, I could never have another breed of dog.

They are really relaxed, lovable, super sensitive and tuned in, and intelligent (and need a job to do) and they don't like to be left alone for very long unless they have a furry buddy. They really bond with people more than dogs, though.

But they are not a dog for control freaks. You'll break their spirit if you make them do something they don't want to do. And they end up owning you in about ... 2 seconds, which is fine by me ;)

Sounds great! From my experience, while labs and retrievers are no doubt good dogs, I was never impressed with either breed. The labs I have known are usually way too hyphy and kinda dee-dee-dee, and retrievers are like, the kinda boring kid who has very little charisma, but you don't have a problem with--but doesn't stand out. I liked pit bulls, English or French bulldogs, and Staffordshire bull terriers because the ones I've known were super smart, crafty, mischievous, cute as all hell.....it goes on, but if Krista would prefer another breed, definitely the Burmese sounds boss.

Boss. I'm bringin' it back, I decided, since lately any pimp shit I come across, I show reverence by saying "___is the Boss Tycoon of____".

Steve is the Boss Tycoon of?

I haven't heard boss in a while.

Except when I got my windows tinted the other day, the clerk asked, "What can I do ya for, Boss?"

But that's different context.

Wow, I haven't paid my first mortgage payment yet and I'm seriously considering refinancing, lol.

I'm locked in at 6.375 and the national average is down close to 5.

I've seen people locking in between 4.5 - 4.75 too.

That's like 3-400 dollar savings per month!

Hot diggity damn I'm on that like white on rice.

I'm getting my mojo back with regards to my training which is exciting. Anxious to hit the gym up tonight.

It's tempting to take an off week either next or the following. We'll see what happens.

That it is.

I was at a Christmas party last week and my own aunt said, "I don't mean to be perverted or incest-ly, but Steve has the nicest ass I've seen on man."

Oh, family gatherings are always good for some awkward moments, lol.
