How the fuck does a person, in this case a young man, get "six pack abs"???

Don't you have to bulk, but then that makes you temporarily fatter, and you need to be lean for your abs to show through? But if you diet you might lose muscle mass? Which comes first? Bulk then cut I gather?

Are six pack abs just impossible for some people?

I don't want them, I'm asking for a cute Canadian boy :) I'm happy with my girly abs and hip bones, heh ;)

The weekend was a lot of fun. Friday I did catch up on some reading. Not enough, but some.

Saturday I went and looked at the wood stove and I'm going to get it. I think I'm picking it up the day after Christmas. Then we had the progressive dinner which was a success. Everyone absolutely loved our house, which was cool.

Sunday I did some shopping in the AM with Krista and then Gord came over and we just hang out. We never made it to the equipment dealer... the roads were shitty and we wanted to drink some beers, light a fire in the fireplace and watch the Eagles. They suck btw.

It was nice and relaxing.

I'm getting a bit perturbed that we don't get snow anymore. If you're 30 minutes north from where I am, you get snow. Here, it's just fucking cold and rainy constantly and I'd much prefer snow over that.

We had freezing rain over the past few days so all the trees look like crystals. It's neat, but not snow.
 
You get fun weekends... my wife just realized why she doesn't like ice. She fell on our front steps (hit every step down on her ass, all I hear is "OW OW OW OW") and then proceded to pass out on me. I think she just hyperventilated and scared herself. I didn't get to go to Perkins. Damn, I love me some pancakes... ;)

Quick question, I am about to re-order my Animal Flex pack from BB.com, and I wanted to get your thoughts on NO-Xplode. I was thinking about taking it pre-workout to replace my BC/EAA/Beta-Alanine/Creatine concoction that I make. What are your thoughts? Worth the hype? money? flavor?

Her ass is super sore. She stayed home today to rest up, which is good. She just scared herself so much that she went down. Good thing I was behind her. She'll be bruised nice and right.

So what do you recommend pre-workout? I want better pumps I think a NO product. Someone suggested to me that Vyo-Tech Nitrobolic Extreme was a very solid product and better than NO-xplode. You know me well, but not well enough.

These supps suck IMO.

I have a hard time endorsing any of them, even if it's in a harmless post on 'some' forum. I believe the supp industry is the biggest batch of crooks around with a total lack of regulation.

That said, I don't spend any time researching the stuff beyond the basics. There's too much shit for sale to worry about figuring out the very few products that might actually make a hair's worth of difference in the first place.

With NO-Xplode you'd be paying premium $$$ for caffeine + creatine + an undisclosed amount of beta-alaine tucked into a "proprietary blend" - a tactic supp companies use to hide the small doses of the more expensive stuff. The rest of the ingredients are inert as well.

FYI, the nitric oxide precursor hype is not scientifically supported. Arginine originally was marketed as a GH releaser before its role in NO production. However, Collier et al (2006) recently observed that arginine actually lowered GH production when combined with exercise. The researchers found that exercise alone was a more potent GH releaser than exercise + arginine.

I mean, that whole "proprietary blend" bullshit is my exact reasoning for not caring or using this kind of shit. I don't like being ripped off by stupid crooks.

Proprietary blend = we don't list the exact amounts of each ingredient, thus can adjust the proportion of ingredients to save a lot of money on our end and jack you, the consumer.

There's nothing worth taking in the list of ingredients except creatine and caffeine, which can be bought in bulk for dirt cheap.

I was thinking about dumping my BC/EAA in my pre-w/o, I figure with the 3000 calories a day, I am getting them. I will keep the Beta-Alanine, simply because I like the way it makes me feel :) Creatine is a no brainer and the caffine is always in there :)

I slipped just ONCE on my front steps because I was going down the steps with my arms full of baggage--landed on my tailbone and spilled Acai juice (drank it before it was cool, before the stupid ass weight loss bullshit) all over myself. NEVER AGAIN! I hold the railing like an old lady if it's even remotely dewy out--tailbone injuries hurt and last for a long long time, I discovered :cry: Your poor wife!

Everyone absolutely loved our house, which was cool.
