Journey, Not A Destination

ha, yeah, I guess I understand that! I'm not sure I would enjoy sleeping in weather that cold. I've slept out in some pretty wicked weather but I don't believe its ever been THAT cold..let us know how the new sleeping bag works!!

Thanks Dee!

Yea, EMS and I have a love hate relationship. Same with me and REI, Outdoor Research, and Moutain Hardware.

My heart loves them.

My wallet and wife hates them. :)

LOL yeah we were at REI over the weekend. We pretty much just go in and wish that one day we will be able to afford SOMETHING in there.... however I did buy Step some nice casual shoes once.... We just go to drool mostly. :drool5:

Ohhhh, look at all the perdy ladies in here.

:)

Hi everyone.

Training yesterday was upper body strength and steady state, unweighed cardio.

Strength looked like:

A - Flat Bench - 270 lbs @ 3x3
B1 - Incline DB Press - 70 @2x10
B2 - Cable Row - 120 @ 3x10
Planks

Cardio was:

15 min steep incline tread
15 min steep incline arc
15 min steep incline stepper
15 min stairs

Looks like we're going to get some snow tonight which will be good for our hike and camp this upcoming weekend.

We'll see if the storm actually comes through. Right now they're (weatherretards) are saying it's a complicated storm to predict.

They can't predict the shit that's right over top of us, so I'm not buying any of it until I see it with my own eyes.

Good morning Steve! Come out to Cali...the rain cleared out and we have clear skies and it's supposed to be 80 degrees by Friday!

As for me, I prefer rain and cold weather (even some snow) in January...but that is one of the reasons I am moving to Nashville...I need four REAL seasons.

Nekkid snow angels please :D

:iagree:

Apparently, this must be a "girl thing" :D

Steve, it's nice to hear that MAYBE you're finally going to get some snow where you want it ;)

But I'm with you ... the weather forecasters here can't predict what's happening in real time, let alone 4 hours in the future, so I'll believe it when I see it!

Wow, I didn't know you were moving. When?

And I want snow. It helps in my training for my upcoming trek.

At one point I sent a great, witty email to the weather team I watch here.

Unfortunately they never reacted or replied.

I'll have to see if I can dig it up.

Workout was great tonight.

No snow, but nice and cold.

I just winged it but it looked something like this:

Hills with 60 lb pack x 5

40 bw stepping lunges

rest 2 minutes

Hills with 60 lb pack x 4

40 bw stepping lunges

rest 2 minutes

Hills with 60 lb pack x 3

40 bw stepping lunges

rest 2 minutes

3 unweighted hill sprints

This left me winded big time and my legs were fried.

And now...

IT SNOWING!

Hey Steve, just wanted to thank you for introducing me to Lyle. We've spent a few nights very happy together for hours on end since last week. ;)

Very glad to hear. :)

Good stuff, right?

You might be interested in checking out the interview I had with him in my blog too.

Good morning and happy hump day!

Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to work with me and help me out... I really appreciate it. :)
