Journey, Not A Destination

I appreciate that, Val.

You're welcome and I'll also give you a BIG (virtual) HUG before your trip--and Gordy too. Hee hee hee, his writing makes him sound like a little kid :D No offense! You can tell he's sweet. Also you can tell you are the Butch in the relationship, heh.

Haha, it's so funny seeing e-gordy. The real him is nothing like how he presents himself on here. But he is a big kid at heart, as am I. Gord will admit too, that writing is his weak point. He wants to work on it a lot.

I know lots of people who are total sophis-tos in real life but write and spell like 4th graders. Nothing wrong with that, Trig and Calculus were DEFINITELY my weak points in school :ack2: And I suck at chess. And I can't bowl to save my life.

Haha, last year I was on a bowling team. It was like the special olympics. Knocking down 9 pins counted as a strike in this league. There were female teams wiping the floor with me. I suck!

I could, however, bowl the ball the fastest out of anyone. :)

These new lanes clock the speed of the ball... I thought that was so cool.

When I was a teenager I had P.E. after lunch. I was always too drunk and/or stoned to bowl. My good-natured and straight (straight as in she didn't party, but she turned out to be gay) teammate would always bowl for me. She did well in her own right, but for some reason when I said, "please can you roll this one for me, I'm too high!" and she did, she ALMOST ALWAYS got a strike. I "played 250+ point games" a lot, haha! At the end of the bowling class our team won and the three of us got trophies!!!!!! I laughed my ass off. The other people in class who knew my habits were very unhappy about the turnout.

HA!! I would figure P.E. in CA would be like frisbee, hacky sack, frisbe golf, surfing.... :D You know, anything that could be done wearing sandals!!!

BOWLING??? WTF??

Man we did nothing cool. I did love volleyball. Everything else was boring as all heck. I used to love the pullup competition and the mile run.

Well, we met at the bowling ally across town. I guess they were trying to make us feel like we could exercise and have fun. It was not exercise at all, and I personally did not have much fun!

I did love volleyball.

Volleyball is great. I never mentioned this but when I was 15 I got introduced to weight training. Mr. Gingery, a P.E. teacher (and a Gemini!) was really nice to me. He tolerated me rather well and maintained professionalism while being super indulgent to my shenanigans. Like, if I violated dress code with a naughty T-shirt (not sexy, just drug-related, like my "DANGER: ACID" shirt, heh). Anyway Mr. G had a GREAT body and I remember watching him max out on the bench press and I was SUPER impressed. His face got all red and his veins popped out of his arms, and I thought, I want to try that. So I asked him for advice. We had a small weight room. I started to lift weights especially when I saw a boy I had a crush on's package underneath his sweat pants :drool5: and thought hanging out in the weight room was a good idea. HAHA! Anyway Mr. Gingery seemed surprised and pleased that a 15-year old girl, stoner at that, was interested in learning about weight training. We liked each other.

That is an interesting tale, lol.

It's crazy that you were drawn into weight training to the point you wanted to try it at that point in time.

FLOOR HOCKEY and flagfootball for me!! Although volleyball was always fun! Hey Bunny, only you could be warm hearted and a perv in the same post!! LOVE IT!! :D

Well, a hot, nice, and helpful gym teacher, and a cute boy with a nice package did it for me! Not to mention I thought it was badass, kind of in awe---and I liked the soreness it gave me later, and I thought my butt looked better after a week. That'll do it!

I liked flag football believe it or not. I liked to watch the hot boys run. I had a very high sex drive as a teen, good thing I had a steady boyfriend! LOL Warm hearted pervertedness all around, baby!

Thanks Maureen... it's nice when I find someone who is interested in the finer nuances of training so it's my pleasure. :)

My biggest problem is I can NEVER have too much information. But sometimes information can be a bad thing for me, because until I REALLY understand what I'm reading, I have a tendency to split hairs ...

I often need somebody to readjust my focus and get me to look at the bigger picture from time to time. You're good at that. You can bring me right back to the point I need to start from again ;)

OMG, we had to bowl in PE, too ...

I love going bowling, but like Steve mentioned, any team I'm playing on is like the special olympics. I TOTALLY suck at bowling. Can't do ANYTHING. I look incredibly uncoordinated and I NEVER seem to be able to hit any of the pins.

Now if we got points for gutter balls, I'd be rocking the lanes! :D

I also loved volleyball. I was a good server and a good spiker ... not so good at setting up, though. And I was short :p

And good afternoon Mr. Troutman ;) How has your day been?

Try being me ... high sex drive, too much training in gymnastics, no time for boys :(

I didn't date until I was 21 and still hardly had any time for boys because I was in track and field. At least I finally got to kiss a guy :p
