Journey, Not A Destination

I would release the forum now but I really want the stickies and stuff to be extensive. That's what is taking so long. I'm thinking about what most people question around here and deciding what should be standard information easily found in stickies.

I hope you are taking a lot of your previous posts here... and cutting those into stickies there. It would be silly if you were to RE-work all of the fundamental stuff. I am looking forward to a new place to hang my hat on.

First, I'm glad to hear you'll be a member. :)

Second, I have taken some of my stuff from here. I'm trying to organize it a bit better.

It's funny that you think I wouldn't be active on your forums/website. I've told many people around here and in my personal life that I owe much of my success to your guidance. I'd prefer to become a client of yours (as I mentioned in the past) but you seem to have rejected that notion for one reason or another, instead just giving what you have to me for free.

SPEAKING of which... I am heading up to Lancaster this weekend. Probably hitting up the PA Ren Faire after breakfast at Shady Maple, are you by any chance interested in going?

It's not so much that I didn't think you would. It's more appreciation that you will. People get married to forums and tend not to frequent 'the outside.'

Thanks a ton man.

It's a funny thing. I've been hanging around this forum so long and met a number of people I've become close with. Charging these few would simply not feel right to me.

In addition to this group, there are a number of people here I would never work with for one reason or another, on top of the above factor.

You pick the worse weekends, I swear. Or every weekend just sucks for me, lol. Friday and Saturday I will be in Hatfield. As of right now, Saturday night it looks like I'll be heading into the city and going to the Phils game on Sunday. That's up in the air yet though.

Thanks Ed, and appreciate it.

I'm looking over what I have with this interview with Lyle so far and it's really long! What I have here on this computer is 16 pages in word! And that's not all the questions. There are 2-3 more I think.

I'm thinking nobody in their right mind is going to read all that in one sitting. I'm wondering if breaking the interview up into 1-2 questions and posting it once per week until everything is up would be best.

Any thoughts anyone?

I think a multi part interview is great - can it be broken up so that it's got a similar train of thought?

always leave the people wanting more... last question should want people to come back and see what's coming

Yeah I would split it up, or paraphrase. Or both lol. I can usually only read a few pages online. I will read a mag or book for hours but online I have ADD. Maybe its OADD. If I remember right your site is going to be mostly geared towards beginners anyway right? Maybe you could paraphrase it a bit since I think some of what Lyle says will be over a lot of heads anyway.

I could certainly add transitions into it to make it flow better... but some questions were on the fly... with no relation to the previous question. I'll work on it this weekend.

Well, I let Lyle know who the audience predominantly was and he geared it for that as best he could. I can't paraphrase simply b/c that would ruin the integrity of the interview in my mind. I could certainly split the interview up though into different days.

My site is geared for anyone interested in fitness, health and weight loss really. A broad base of people know me and will read me.

I'm sure it will turn out fine. If you need a proof read feel free to email it to me. I suck at grammar but I can give you some feedback if you need.

that's cuz you insist on not being shirtless in your videos...

You'd have an entire new audience were you to go topless and glistening...

but NOOOOO you have to be all serious and stuff...
:D

and gordy has a cute bum :D so do you :D these things are important
