Nailed down a date for a hike with my buddy, which will be October 10th. He is from the White Mountains so he is picking a 4k that will be within my ability and will be a day hike. I do have one question. If my normal daily calories are around 2600, what do you think i plan on eating that day to stay fueled. My first thought is trail mix, Natty PB sandwich, fruit. Any other ideas? How many calories will i need?

Remember how I used to run, pump iron with the Big Boys, and kickbox and stuff? Well, I still run but I've been incorporating more "girl-affiliated" activities--like doing way more yoga in a real studio (with a bunch of other people, but majority are women) and I started a belly dancing class twice a week. Belly dancing uses muscles that are seldom "hit" in most other mainstream exercises, although the beginner's stuff is not very intense. I very much enjoy dressing up scantly and girlyHahaha, you should try it sometime! get in tune with your feminine side

I think I've got a good balance... Mixed Martial Arts and weight lifting one the 'masculine' side... belly dance and yoga on the feminine. And gawd yes! I love belly dance just for those reasons! It helps make other activities more, erm, acrobatic, if you know what I'm sayin'.![]()

Right--Halloween. I didn't even want sugar, I just was compelled to mindlessly snack. So I threw myself for a loop and snacked on the raw broccoli with hummus to make it more palatable. I figured I wasn't eating enough cruxciferous vegetables lately and I might as well make myself eat more. Glad I did, I feel great! Don't care why, just rollin with it!
