Hey everyone.
Pretty crazy day today..... found out one of the guys I grew up with shot and killed himself yesterday, sadly, leaving behind a wife and a little girl. We grew up as neighborhood friends and eventually worked together for a few years on a farm. I hadn't seen him in a long while until he dropped by a party my friend was having a few weeks back.
Other than this, it's been a good start to the new year. Unfortunately I'm still crazy busy. I was hoping things would calm down before year end but I'm in the midst of buying the firm I work for as well as really making a push to have my own website out by summer now. Hopefully I'm able to remain consistent with forward progress.
At the NYE party I was at, I ended up picking up a workout partner. I'm torn about how I feel about it. He's one of my best friends, I grew up with him. I've worked out with him once before and he lasted 6 months. He said he looked the best he has ever looked that year (2 years ago) but life got in the way and he slowly stopped.
He seems motivated, but isn't everyone this time of year? I laid out a few rules that I expect him to abide by and told him I won't hesitate to drop him as a parter if he's not into it. I don't need anyone dragging me down. I'll help him all I can if he's 100% but beyond that, no thanks.
Today is his first day, so I'm anxious to see how things go.

So, so sorry to hear about your friends death, that is heart wrenching to say the least, I never understood why god takes those so young, and leaves behind so many to suffer in sadness. Haha, it will work out for me. It's him who should hope that it works out. If he leaves, no skin off my back. I mean I really want to help him but at the same time I won't let anyone get in my way.

I've had success in the past with partners. But you need the right one..... and ideally the right one is more advanced than you. This way it's a source of motivation.
This will not be the case here.

I don't mess with our corporate website, thank the lord. I'm actually building a fitness website with a partner of mine. Although it's a lot of work, it's actually fun.
Our newest idea is a monthly show or something on youtube about various topics related to weight loss and exercise.
We've got far too many ideas and we need to start focusing on one at a time.
