Im going shopping in a bit with a friend and i have been invited to her house for dinner... she is having cabbage soup... should be safe right? HOPE SO!! Gotta stay away from the ice cream cake she made for her sons 15th birthday cake...

Dinner

Cabbage soup with ground beef, tomatoes, cabbage, and celery

pm snack:

medium banana, 1/2 glass skim ,milk

todays nutrition:

cal. 1494 fat 65 carbs 143 protein 92 sodium 1554.7 (its gotta be higher from the soup)

high carb foods again were: milk and banana... need to be careful...

fitday says I need to increase my vitamin D and Iron..an FYI for me.....

day 7 tomorrow! weigh myself Tuesday am... we'll see what this all adds up to SOON...
 
I need to start tracking my H2O.. didn't drink ANY today.. well, maybe I few sips.. I was soooooooooooooooo cold today!

I did have five cups of plain tea! Hope that counts for something, going to drink a glass of water now while i read posts...

ok breakfast...going to try to hit up different dairy than milk and different fruit than bananas since they are killing me in the carb area!

Breakfast:

1 egg
1 slice swiss cheese
1 large apple

20 minutes this am of stretching, step machine and lower body work
 
Hi Jill, just wanted to check in on you and see how things are going. I see you had a very nutritious breakfast and already got in a work out! Are you doing low carb or something? Forgive me for not having time to read back :D.

no, im just trying to keep my carbs even with my protein and my fat 100 grams or under, and my sodium under 2,500 and my cal at 1,300-1,500

with 20 min exercise, ill see how this worked for my first weigh in tomorrow

Sounds great Jillzy! Just a note to be careful about starting off your diet too low in the calories. You'll notice lots of people around here tend to lose steadily on around 1600-1900 so no need to deprive yourself or starve! Of course if you're feeling fine on this amount and its working, then more power to you. Not trying to get in your business, I just wanted to be sure you dont have the impression that the only way to lose weight is to eat practically nothing and be totally deprived and hungry. **steps off soap box**

actually, its so weird, Im not counting calories during the day, just plugging them into fitday.... on this meal plan, it ends up being within those calories so I figured id go with it!! Isnt that weird?

This is my meal plan

Breakfast:

1 serving dairy
1 serving protein
1 serving fruit

lunch/dinner:

1 serving protein
1 c. cooked veg
1 1/2 raw veg

snack:

1 serving dairy
1 serving fruit

Its the food plan for a food addicts like me thats addicted to sugar, flour and wheat. It just happens to fall into the 1,300-1,500 range!

But, thank you, Ill see how it goes, this feels like a big experiment, doesn't it? I really hear what people are saying, and store it in the back of my brain for the future!
 
That does sound good for you. Obviously you'll go with it til it stops working or you get sick of it and then try something else. The only option you dont have is to give up. There are so many people who come to this forum who dont stick around (and you just know very often its not for lack of time but more cuz they're home munching out on whatever they want and not exercising), and then many return having gained back all their weight. I just hate when that happens to our members so I do hope you stick around and stick out your weight loss regardless of how this or that diet plan is working.

And you WON'T give up on yourself. You KNOW you've come too far. You can't stop now, not after everything you've promised yourself. You've VOWED to be healthier, and you WILL BE. You're worth more than giving up. You know that.

cup baby lettuce and cup of baby spinach with a little olive oil and vinegar
4 oz hamburger (well, it was 4oz before I cooked it anyways!)
cup green beans

It was sooooooooooooooo hard to throw away all the food the daycare kids didnt eat today...meatloaf, mashed potatoes....... I so wanted to be a garbage disposal and eat it all.........

but, I didnt! Test one: passed... ***whew***

my urine is pretty yellow today which means.. dehydration!!! DRINK WATER JILL!!!

ok, two cups down so far......way more to go!!!

You know what? When I started drinking water, I couldn't get it down either. I thought it was nasty. I LIVED on Diet sodas. After about a month though, I just started to love it and couldn't stand pop. Now, I drink about 4-32 ounce sports bottles a day. If I can't drink water, I get cranky, no joke.

me, too!! cranky and ADD! haha and......... HUNGRY! I'm definitely one to think i'm hungry when I'm really thirty!!!
 
oh, I just had the BEST dinner... I just wish I wasn't so hungry and ate it slower!

I might need to start having my snack between lunch and dinner...or have two snacks a day.... we'll see

I did eat sitting down, tho, yay!!!

salad with 1 c. baby spinach, 1 c. baby lettuce tbs olive oil and vinegar with 3oz sliced avocado...mmmmmmmmm
1 cup broccoli
4 oz. salmon with onion (made in my George Foreman grill)

It was such a good meal, I cant wait to have it again!!

anyways, it was so good, I was afraid to enter it into fitday.. but, I did, and im GOOD!!

I recommend this meal HIGHLY!! nutritious, delicious and healthy!!

note for future: don't let yourself get so hungry...so you can enjoy your food

another note: don't let yourself get so hungry cause your mind plays tricks on you when you open the fridge... this was the first time i actually wanted something that wasn't in my plan.... I want to be wary of this...

too hungry = danger!!
