Jess - The road to happiness and health :)

It's getting bloody hot over here, I might have to start getting up really early for walks and my DVD workouts.
Have a great day everyone!!! :) Thanks for reading.

It's getting hot there and turning to winter here... I have a feeling I'll be a little envious when reading your posts from time to time, when it's snowing and I'm bundling up to wait outside for the train to take me to work in the mornings.

Your food choices are looking awesome, keep up the good work!

I love your list of positive results that have come from losing weight! That's a really great idea to keep motivated!

Hey Laura! Don't make me jealous!!! I love cold weather!

Thanks Tigpuppy, :)

Sunflower, my cousins sent some photos not long ago, looks such a nice place.

Yesterday was BUSY!
Exercise after work - DVD workout 'Body Sculpt" and hundreds of reps with my hand weights, crunches too. Might have to get some slightly bigger hand weights. 4 Hours of commercial cleaning if that counts! Bloody hard yakka!
Food yesterday was a bit low, but I barely had ime to sit down I had so much on!

Brekky - Banana
Lunch - Brown rice, chicken and veggie stirfry with honey soy marinade (soooo tasty!).
Dinner - Big salad sandwich with a vegetarian walnut pattie and some cheese.
Snack 1/2 cup of low fat cottage cheese.

I'll try and be more organised today, another really busy one (well the next 3 weeks are busy) so I'll take some nuts and what not with me.

I like the winter for the snow, but if this year is anything like last year when there was some sort of invisible cut-off line where EVERYONE north of me got snow and all I got was freezing cold temps, I will be disappointed! Cabbie, how was your winter, snow-filled?

I will say one thing for cold weather... my fellow passengers on the public transit system are all a little more pleasant smelling in the winter. Nothing compares to a sweltering hot day with the trains crammed with business people and tourists, all equally sweaty!

Lol gross Laura!

Speaking of sweaty and gross... I did 6 and a half hours of cleaning today, and my god I stank when I got home... That was even after wearing hubby's Brut deoderant and enough talc to coat 19 grannies! Cleaning is hardcore as a profession. One house I did had 5 bathrooms WTF who needs 5 bathrooms? Even the baby had his own ensuite...

If only there was less of me to sweat :(
Want to know something gross? The last house was so dusty, when I was getting in the shower after I got home, I even found dust in my butt crack. Revolting... SOMEONE ELSES DUST :ack2: :puke::eek:

No exercise for me tonight, I'm knackered!
Bit of a shocker food wise too, just a banana for brekky and left over stirfry at 4:30 when I got home. Don't feel like dinner :( we'll see how I feel later on.

I love your list and can relate to so many things on it. I used to always try and make myself invisible where ever I went but now I will quite confidently be in the midst of things.
Well done on your weight loss so far.

Hehehehe hahahaha!!!! The dusty butt crack is killing me! :smilielol5:

Even grosser to think about it when you consider the fact that the majority of house dust is made up of dead skin cells from the people and pets living there. :ack2:

Great idea packing snacks if you know you are going to be busy! Planning is what keeps me on the right path.
As for liking the cold - I used to really like the cold weather because I was always hot - I couldn't wear anything that wasn't black because I would have sweat marks under my pitts and was so self consious about them but when I lost a lot of weight I was always freezing and am now always freezing! I like it that I can incorporate more colour into my life without worrying about pit stains but I hate being cold - I'm never happy am I, lol!
Great work with all the exercise you are getting cleaning - make sure to get your nutrients too!! Keep it up!!

Thanks for the tip CG, I took some fruit and nuts to tide me over today, it was fantastic. I wasn't starving when I got home! Lol at the sweat marks, I dread summer, but have never been much of a sweater until now :( maybe it's my old age kicking in? I can't picture you with big sweaty armpits!

Tigpuppy... all I have to say to you is... THANKS! Thanks a lot! Now I am 50 times more revolted than before and today while vaccuming all I could picture was shredded skin and dandruff! :ack2: Glad my butt gave you a laugh though lol :)

Hey Sunflower, yeah this work is going for 3 weeks while my mate is away (she owns the business - an Organic cleaning company) and it is definitely giving me intense workouts! I think this week's weigh in might be a good 'un - well I bloody hope so! I feel like my shoulders are that of an olymic swimmer after all this scrubbing...

Thanks Ecky, I thought it would be a cool idea to keep myself reminded of the good things I'm gainingg for all my sweating and hard work!

I detest my own cleaning that I have to do - I can't imagine doing it for a job every day. More power to ya girl!

Great job with the snacks!
I actually love cleaning and think I could do it as a profession however I don't think it would pay as much as my desk job - unless I owned the company of course! I've asked my hubby's single friends to hire me to clean their places because I hate going there and being afraid to use the washroom. I told them if I cleaned once a week it wouldn't get so bad. They probably only clean once a year and even then don't know how to do it properly. I asked my hubby to clean the washroom once and I came home and the toilet bowl cleaner was just sprayed in the bowl but he never thought to use the brush. He had no clue as his mom never asked him to clean ever and when he lived on his own it was a dump - he wonders how I came back after seeing his place once. It's a great workout though so just be glad it has multiple benefits! Keep it up Jess!!!

Ha ha that's gross! Lol.
I still remember visiting one of my big brothers when he moved out the first time, there was a meat pie stuck on the ceiling and the place stank and was full of rubbish etc. Sadly the woman he married is a total grub who never cleans and they even have mould on their walls. She invited us to dinner before my daughter was born and there were dirty undies under the dining table! That was nearly years ago and we haven't been back since. Sad, but I won't expose my kids to that filth...

I keep forgetting to write up my food intake, but it's much the same as ever. I'm boring, but it doesn't bother me to eat the same thing all the time. It tastes good and is doing the right thing for me.

Yesterday:
Brekky - Big banana and a slice of wholegrain bread.
Snack - Apple (pink lady)
Lunch - Chicken and veggie stirfry with marinade and brown rice (with organic veggies from my garden YAY)
Dinner - Salad and cheese wrap - wholegrain -
Snack - Big mango hubby bought me as a treaty and 1/2 a cup of low fat cottage cheese.
I was so full!

I'm still only drinking water - approx 3 to 4 litres a day.
Tomorrow is weigh in day... but I feel a bit positive about it, hubby says he thinks I've lost a fair bit this week WOO HOO! So nice he's noticing.

Tomorrow marks 6 weeks without chocolate for me. JESUS! I barely made it a day without it in the past. I don't even miss it anymore really.

Looking forward to having a sleep in tomorrow morning if I can. I've worked so hard this week, it's nice to feel like I deserve a day off!

Enjoy sleeping in Jess! I'll be jealously thinking of you when I get up at the butt crack of dawn to go to work!
