Jess - The road to happiness and health :)

6 weeks without chocolate?! Holy moly Batlady!! You're my new hero!! :) Well done!! Hopefully I'll steal some leaves from your book because looking through your diary, you seem to be well on track :) Just out of interest, how long have you been at this & how much have you lost along the journey? xxx

Thanks everyone, I slept in till 8:30. Heaven!!!
Sorry Tigpuppy, now I feel slightly guilty :reddevil:

Hey Cheesy, Thanks so much ha ha yes letting go of chocolate was so hard... I have always loved it.
I started cutting out most of the junk food about 8 weeks ago, but I seriously started (exercising and everything) 6 weeks ago. I weighed 88kg's at the beginning, and after weighing in this morning, I am now 80kg's!!! I can't believe it!

I'm so happy, and it's been such a physical week for me. I knew I'd lost a bit but JESUS 2 kg's this week? That's insanity! Just goes to show you house cleaning is an effective weigh loss method! I've exercised nearly every day after work as well this week.

I used to just sit around all the time. Now I get so bored and just want to do something :)

I'm overwhelmed with this weeks result and a maybe a bit worried actually. I've been eating more calories - I guess it's just all the exercise I've been doing too. I'm really trying to tone my upper body and have been doing loads of hand weight reps (all different). I know it's not healthy to lose too fast, but I think I'm OK, I only lost 0.5 kg last week.

I FEEL GREAT!!!

Today we're taking the kids to the circus too, what a great way to celebrate! I'm so excited for them too, they've never been before. :hurray:

Congrats. 2 kgs in a week, amazing.
Hope you have a great time at the circus. I only went to the circus once when I was a kid but I remember everything about it as it was so exciting and different.

Nice work! Sweetie, that's impressive. A 2kg loss is a nice feeling isn't it? Yeah funny how when you get into house or yard work, you don't realize sometimes how much you are really doing until afterward.

Good job!

LOL undies under the table....geez what was going on in there o_O I can't believe you consider being able to sleep till 8.30 heaven! I have to wake different times each day b/c of school and I absolutely dread having to wake up at 9 on those days. But then again I'm not married with childern. Being able to sleep until 11:00 now thats heaven ;)

You are doing so fantastic. I'm really proud of you :high five:

Thanks heaps you guys :grouphug:

Ecky, I only ever went once as a kid too, and it was so tiny (I grew up in a small hippy area) but I remember LOVING it. I'm so happy to be able to take the kids :)

Thanks Cabbie! Yeah for sure! I'm blown away! Now I can't wait to work on Monday ha ha!!!

Tigpuppy - :) Thanks! It's been a pretty positive week all round here this week I think!

Hey Daybehavior - I never noticed you spelt it (behaviour) differently lol - sorry! Lol at the undies hey? Well that's nothing dude, I could curl your eyebrows for hours with stories about that 'woman'. Just after they got married I found out she used to work as a prostitute in a Bikie Gang's brothel. Nice... ha ha! She's 'colourful', that's for sure. No wonder my brother's an alcho!!!
I'm usually up at 6 every morning, so 8:30 is like such a treat! Man 11:00 is outrageous! Enjoy it before you have kids lol. Thanks so much for being proud of me, that means a lot dude :)

Thanks to everyone for being so kind and encouraging, I really appreciate it, and it makes this whole struggle that much easier.

THE MOSCOW CIRCUS WAS AWESOME!!! We had the best day yesterday :)

Yesterday's Food:
Brekky - Large banana, 1 slice of dry wholegrain toast.
Snack - 10 raw almonds
Lunch - Wholegrain wrap with honey/soy chicken, lettuce, tomato, low fat cheese slice, low fat hommus, red onion and cucumber. So yum...
Dinner - Veggie soup
Snack - Huge mango and 1/2 a cup of low fat cottage cheese.

I need to get some iron tablets and multivitamins - I'm covered in bruises from work, and I know I'm not getting enough iron. I just prefer chicken and am still not used to eating the red meat :(

Oh I had a mini celebration yesterday after weighing in, I went into my cupboard and threw out everything size 18. No more giant undies!

Woop! Goodbye big knickers!

Just popping in to cheer you on - you're doing brilliantly and I'm so impressed by your healthy meal plans. Keep it up!

x

w00h00!! Hooray for 2kg weight losses and cupboard clearing out!!! It feels fantastic doesn't it?!? To say "I'm never gonna be wearing THAT again!!" - like a real committment to yourself to throw out what was your favourite clothes before but now look like clown clothes?!

Sounds like you are doing really really well so keep it up!

YAY for the mini-celebration!! Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend all around! Congrats on the loss!

I haven't been to a circus since I was old enough to remember... I need to make a trip one of these years to see one.

And on a side note, in the US a cupboard is where we keep kitchen stuff, food and whatnot, so reading your post made me giggle a bit. :)

Ahhhh man! You've got this DOWN girl! :) A big hip hip hooray to you for losing the "parachute panties" :) Hehehe! I would have BURNT them and danced many a happy jig around a roaring fire! Hey... maybe I will soon too! Well done Jess *hugs* xxxx

Ha ha Laura! We call our food cupboard a pantry - that's a classic!

Yes, you should definitely do the circus thing, it was just so cool :)

Thanks heaps mate :Angel_anim:

Parachute panties!!! :smilielol5:

I always called them my Bombay bloomers!!!
I love the idea of burning them and dancing a jig!

I tossed out all my saggy old bras too and hubby bought me some new sport ones, so my girls are back up where they belong!!! Yay!

Thanks for the hugs Cheesy :grouphug:

That's what a pantry is here, too... I guess a cupboard is more likely to hold dishes. We put our clothes in a closet. I love how this site has people from all over so I can learn these slight differences in dialect! And about all the different foods, too!
