Jess - The road to happiness and health :)

So jess,
You've inspired me to go in the deep dark recesses of my closet to try on clothes that I used to be able to fit into. So far I have found two tops (i threw most of them away). The chest area is still busty..but i have always been that way :p. Can't wait to uncover some more 'new' clothes. :hurray:. Keep on with your weight loss. Great job so far :D

It's great when you can fit into smaller clothes. I'm really annoyed with myself because I threw out all my smaller clothes a few months before I started to lose weight as I thought that I would never be able to fit into them.

Oh no! That's so frustrating. I did the same with all our exercise gear and now get so angry just thinking about it. We had a home gym, exercise bike, toning bands, hand weights, skipping ropes, exercise ball etc and about 4 months ago we just got rid of it all out of frustration and we were moving too.
We sold it all to my stepson's mate for $100 and it was all still in new condition :( Now I'm scratching for cash and laybuying some new stuff bit by bit. GRRRRR!

Hey Jess. I think I was the same way. One day 1000 calories then 5000 the next. To sum up my old diet in one word: chaos. Dieting is basically the exact opposite and really isn't hard for me. Figuring out what I should be eating to maintain my weight has been the biggest challenge and has been what caused me to gain back all the weight I lost a few years ago.
I'm so glad you know what I meant! That's exactly what I was like!
Yeah I know maintanance is going to be my roughest challenge, but I'm fighting for it this time. Once I get down to a healthy weight I'm going to reallywork hard to keep it. I can't handle another shameful big weight gain...

Lol thanks Island Girl :)
That's awesome you scored some tops out of there! I'm going to wait a couple of weeks now untill I look again. Soooo exciting, I've saved loads of 14's. Just can't wait until I get there :drool5:
Oh hey I wish I was busty :( I'm just a B. Every other woman in my family has a rack to be reckoned with. My Mum is a G cup or sometihing like that!

I've never gotten rid of any clothes I've ever had, so as I've lost weight it's been fun to try on all those old clothes and find out they fit again! On the other hand, I've also not gotten rid of any of my fat clothes either. I guess I'm still worried that I might need them some day if I can't maintain this weight loss.

Maybe one of these days I'll just take the plunge and toss 'em all!

I think you should toss them out for sure Tigpuppy. I'm going to ditch mine as soon as possible!

The past couple of days have been great. I've been eating more calories as suggested, both days have been close to 1900. So we'll see how this weeks weigh in goes on Saturday.

I'm loving the low fat cottage cheese, it so yum!

Today I bought a DVD and weight set by the Firm. It has 4 DVD's and 2 lots of hand weights, a book with tips etc. Can't wait to get onto it :)

This morning when I took the kids to school one of the Mums noticed I'd lost weight and I was so happy :)

Yesterday I went o my voluntary job and one of my workmates noticed too. Geez that make me want to keep going. It's the best feeling...

Life is good.

Hon, you know not what you wish for, believe me! Be thankful you aren't so top heavy - they are a big pain in the hind end I think. They are heavy, get in the way, everyone stares at them, make your back hurt, and you can never find bras to fit or button up shirts that actually stay closed. I think one of the best parts about losing weight is that I've gone from a G cup to a D cup. I'd trade my current D's for your B's any day!

Hey great work!! It really is the best feeling when someone notices! Just make sure you keep it up and the comments will keep coming!!
I'm ready to work hard when I get to maintenance too - I'm so sick of losing the same 20 pounds.
Keep it up JEss!!:seeya:

You're totally right Tig, my poor Mum has these trenches about 2cm deep on her shoulders from her bra straps. She gets such bad back pain all the time too and at 65 her posture is dreadful because of them. I never thought about the button up shirt situation :( or the staring!

Sometimes I'd just like to be a healthy C I guess, to feel a bit more feminine.
Geez going from a G to a D must be so much easier to manage for you!

Thanks heaps! I sure will :)
And me too, I just want to get there and STAY THERE lol!

Hey Jess!! Where are you from? Noticed you used the word "mate." Are you from Australia by chance? Sounds like you're working hard! Keep it up missy! =)

Yep, she's from down under. The English use "mate" too though ;)

Anyway Jess, just dropping by to check up on you. Seems things are peachy keen though I noticed you haven't done your food log for the past couple days :p

Jess, be careful what you wish for!! I'd swop my FF cup for a B cup any day! In fact I still look longingly at the sexy C and D lingerie sets I used to have prior to having my daughter!! Its one of those things I guess if you are a woman, you always want to be the way that you aren't (either more busty or less!). On the up side though, it ALWAYS makes me laugh when I'm talking to a guy and his eyes are focused about 40 cms lower than they should be!

As for clothes - yup, chuck those old big ones out! I now have a clear out every 3 months or so because I AM NEVER GOING BACK. I WILL NEVER NEED THAT SIZE AGAIN. It looks tent like on me now and i'm not putting the weight back on so who cares if it was my favourite thing that was the only thing I felt good and sexy in...I don't need it anymore. There are more "precious things" to buy! More "beautiful clothes" to look good in! Let someone else have the jumbo-mama super cool ripped jeans. I need them not!!

Hey soccerrox!
Yep, Daybehaviour was right, I'm an Aussie. I'm in Wollongong, just a couple of hours down from Sydney :)

Hey Day,
Thanks for checking up on me! I'm great, but yes, have been slack writing each meal out. I've been way busy the past week or so...
Here's today's effort for you :
Brekky - Banana
1 slice of wholegrain bread (plain)
6 walnuts

Snack - 1/2 cup of cottage cheese (low fat)

Lunch - Huge wholegrain wrap with cottage cheese, tomato, cucumber, lettuce and chicken breast (chopped and marinated in honey soy) + a snifter of avacado.

Dinner - Veggie soup (homemade)
4 Ryvita crackers
Small salad on the side

Snack - Low fat sugarfree jelly and a mango.
10 raw almonds.
Estimate of 1700 - 1800 calories.

I'm not sure if that's enough calories again grrrr but I just can't fit anything else in!!!

I did some great exercise, one of my new workout DVD's and some free weight training just by myself. Mate was I sweating after that DVD workout! I feel fantastic, and have a real sense of acheivement.

Ha ha! You're right jjjay, we're never happy with what we've got! I'm hoping as I lose a bit of weight my B's will look more in proportion anyway :)
Lol about the clothes. Hell yeah, I'm handing mine in to the Salvos the minute they're too big from now on!

One of my favourite goals is to buy some awesome new jeans and tops, that's for sure. I guess I'll wait until I'm a 14 for the first decent shop though, cause I still have some 16's about.

Awww must be lovely in Australia!! Bet the scenery is beautiful! I agree with you guys about the shopping for clothes! Great motivation! Can't wait to fit in some old stuff! =)

It sure is, I'm always thinking how lucky we are to live here. I'm on the east coast too, so I get to be near a huge lake (Lake Illawarra), beautiful beaches and rivers (all lovely to walk around) as well as the mountains as well. We have some choice rainforest walks around here too.

Where abouts in the USA are you soccerrox?

Okay so like... I'm a guy right? Clothes shopping? Not supposed to be my thing right?

I like how i fit in stuff now, I even look kinda good sometimes, go figure!

I'd love to visit the land down under. It's on my short list of must sees someday.

:)

I'd love to get the the USA too someday, as well as England and Wales (my Dad was English and grew up in Wales).

Cabbie, don't be ashamed to shop!!! You deserve to feel good in what you wear after all your hard work :hurray: Tell you what, once I get myself to my goal weight my hubby better brace himself, cause there's going to be SHOPPING alright :willy_nilly:

Beautiful day here today, I'm so sore from doing the Body Sculpt DVD workout yesterday, but I'm going to do the next one this morning after I drop the kids off at school.
I'm feeling stronger after 5 weeks of my lifestyle change, when I walk or lift it just feels more powerful if you know what I mean.

I am really enjoying exercise now, an I have always loathed it in the past. It's nice to feel good knowing you've done something positive for your body. Could it be that I am actually beginning to care about myself? :)

Yesterday's food.
Brekky - Banana and a slice of wholegrain bread.
Snack - 10 raw almonds.
Lunch - Tomato and spinach soup with 4 Ryvitas.
Snack - 1/2 a cup of cottage cheese - low fat.
Dinner - Chicken and veg stirfry with brown rice.
Snack - 4 corn thins and 2 slices of low fat processed cheese.
