Hi Sarah,

Just thought I would stop in to say hello. You look amazing! Rebecca was one of my favorites on Biggest Loser, too. She just had so much drive, even from the very beginning ... she's an inspiration to me. I'm so glad she beat Tracy ... Tracy looked like some weird zombie, but I probably just feel that way because I hated her on the show, haha. Ever notice how in the opening sequence they show everyone else working out, and when they showed her the first thing you see is her eating those cupcakes? Haha ... always loved that.

Anyway ... you've done amazing work and you look awesome!

Thank you!!! I hated tracey too, LOL. She looked sooo disgusting at the finale. I was so pissed when she was up there for the at home prize.. I was like OF COURSE she would beat Julio! Jeez. Well thanks for stopping by! I will head over to your journal when I have some free time! :)

I know it's not nice to say "I told you so"... but I told you so ;) Honestly, It doesn't matter how good your form is the first shovel, you're gonna be sore b/c it's a new activity. It's really to prevent injury. If your back is still sore later even after you've got it warmed up and moving put some ice on it for 10min... it'll help!!

I didn't take measurments yet because I left my soft tape measure in my house at school. But I will take them when I get back! :) I will have to ice my back for sure... no matter how many back rubs I make my boyfriend give me... it's still killin' me!!!

Good work Sarah - losing during TOM is pretty hard to do so you should be proud! I love it how you wrote "see you next week 137!" Good attitude! I have one more week to really push it before my family arrives so I hope to have another great week. I am planning on having a few drinks Saturday but hopefully not enough to derail me. That cookie exchange you are signed up for sounds dangerous! How are you not going to want to try one of each? Maybe just try a bite of each and throw the rest away - before I would think that's really wasting but really it looks better in the trash than on your hips! Or better yet give the rest to your hunnie! They never turn down cookies - well mine never does anyway! I haven't had to shovel yet this year but I know the pain you are in - get it every year too, sucks.

Thanks Lisa!! The cookie exchange is sooo not something I want to do. But my boyfriend's mom wanted me to be a part of it (her and her sister and mom and daughter all do it... so it's a "girl thing") so I figured why not. I'll have my dad eat em' all for me. My boyfriend will already have a bunch of cookies at home since his mom and sister are part of the exchange and they will be bringing a lot home! Have a great weekend... I know you'll do good. Have a few drinks and enjoy yourself! :)

Okay I spent ALL morning making these damn cookies.. glad they are done with though! And my boyfriend was over with Gunner so the dogs played and it was nice just hanging out around the house. Didn't have much time to work out... I planned on only running 2 miles but once I got started I didn't want to stop! LOL so I ran 3 miles and I ran @ 6.5 mph the whole time... so I did 3 miles in 27:25... I was sweating sooo much! Woo! I feel good now :D

Well I just hopped out of the shower and I have like 20 minutes to get dressed do my make up dry my hair and get to work! Hahah so I gotta run! Chat with you all later!

I love cookie exchanges b/c then you have little gifts for people. It's GREAT when you have kids b/c you give cookies to school, music, dance teachers, friends or just whoever you think you really 'should' buy for, but don't know what. Take them to the Walmart greeters or the jingle people asking for money outside of the stores. Any place where there are christmas volunteers... or if there is a shelter by your house. Don't just throw them away, and DEFINATELY don't eat them!!!

Hmph I meant to say I ran 3 miles in 27:25!!! LOL even better hey ;) That sounds like a good idea to give the cookies out to other people!! I should bring them to family Christmas gatherings too.. I'm sure I'll have enough to feed 500 people! haha

Okay guys.. last night was a breakthrough! Kinda. So I worked til 7 and I was STARVINGG I wanted to get some dinner after work with my boyfriend. I asked if he wanted cousins subs but he had it the day before, so I chose applebees. I wanted a burger or a fish fry or something greasy!!! But when I got there I chose this lime chicken something salad? I don't know. But it was only 5 WW points so I figured it would be a good option. It was spinach, grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, portebella mushrooms, and red onions. My boyfriend looked at it and said, "I could have make you that salad with the tree in my backyard" LOL but it was good! I didn't eat much of it because I don't like mushrooms that aren't cooked and it was so dry and leafy I couldn't finish. This was good thing #1.

Good thing #2 was that when we were ordering, I decided to throw in chili cheese nachos for an appetizer because I was buying so I wanted to treat my boyfriend a little! Well after we orderd, the waitress came out and said that they ran out of chips! (wtf?!) so we couldn't get that appetizer. She asked if we wanted something else... I looked around... then just said no thank you. So I skipped maybe 500 calories AND saved myself 8 bucks!

Good thing #3 was that after dinner, we went to target. We wanted to get Icee's (soooo much sugar) or something for dessert but when we got in the check out, I grabbed some gum and told my boyfriend I didn't want an Icee cuz it was too cold out anyway. So I had 5 calories instead of maybe 300!

Good thing #4 was that I had plans to get together with my girlfriends for the evening. I stopped at Sarah's house (aka my roommate from school) before we went to my other friends house and before we left sarah's mom packed a huge thing of puppy chow to take with us. I was really excited cuz I LOOOOVE puppy chow! Well good thing Sarah forgot to grab it! Saved myself maybe another 300 calories there! (I could chow down puppy chow for sure!)

Good thing # 5 (well, sorta) was that I didn't really drink much when we got to my friend's house. I had 2 1/2 beers and 3 apple pie shots (didn't I learn my lesson from last weekend not to drink that stuff?!) so I didn't go all out like I normally would AND I didn't snack on ANYTHING!

So that was my night :) Didn't get a work out yet, don't have time. I'm coming home after work and gettin' my ass on the treadmill though so don't you worry!!!

I know, I'm glad I was able to avoid all the extra junk food because I would have just let go and went all out last night if I ate those nachos to start it off! LOL puppy chow is the best!! No it's not dog food! lol... you melt peanut butter and chocolate together and then stir in some chex mix... then you put it in a paper bag with a bunch of powdered sugar and shake it up! It's so yummy :drool5:

That stuff is great! I've never heard it called "puppy chow" though, I've always heard it called "reindeer food" or "nutty buddies". Must be a regional thing ;)

Lol must be! I have heard it called reindeer food... well I read online somewhere but it's puppy chow in my neck of the woods :D

Alright I just got done working out... so happy I didn't skip it even though I was sooo tired after I left work. I ran 4 miles in 36:53. Then I walked to 40 minutes... total of 4.17 miles. Did my squats, side bends, biceps curls, butt squeezey things lol, leg lifts, abs, and stretch!!!

No work out today, but that's okay because I had a pretty kick ass workout last night. I went out to lunch with my boyfriend's family for the cookie exchange. It was nice. I ordered the "navajo" - fry bread with chicken, avocado, tomato, red onion, lettuce, and mayo. I ordered it with a side salad instead of fries. Well I got the sandwich and literally, it was like 6 inches tall... there was no way I could eat it as a sandwich. And the bread grossed me out! It was like a fried doughnut... you know, the ones you get at the fair? Yeah. It even looked sugary like a doughnut. It wasn't, but it grossed me out that it looked all greasy and cake-y. So I grabbed my fork and knife and started cutting the chicken up and tried to eat it with some tomato and avocado but the majority of my sandwich went to waste. I didn't eat much salad either, because it was really boring.

I had to get a dessert... we were at The Cheesecake Factory after all... so I ordered this red velvet cheesecake... OMG.... heaven... seriously. 2 layers of red velvet cake with cheesecake in between and white chocolate on top.. soooo yummy. I only had maybe half (if that) and was really full. Gosh I can't get over how amazingly delicious that cheesecake was. I honestly think that was the best thing I've ever tasted... I was eating it so slow and just staring off into space... it was dreamy LOL (here I'll post a pic of it so you can see!!!)

Now I have EIGHT BINS of assorted cookies... omgosh I can't believe how many cookies I have. I gotta be careful with those!

Tomorrow beings exam week... so it's back to the grind. I'm staying at home tonight (yay I get to sleep in my big comfy bed!) because my first exam isn't until 3:15 tomorrow... so right now I'm going to study for that and try working on my paper that is due Wednesday!!

I'll probably do another 4 mile run tomorrow morning @ 6.5 mph... I found that this pace is pretty easy for me... atleast for the first 3 miles... the last mile was hard when I did it last night! But I felt so good after so I think I'll go for it again :)

Ready to REALLLY push it this week... done with my period so I'm expecting a nice drop in weight and it's finals week... so I'm ready to rock all my exams! Can't wait to be done!!! :D

I ate breakfast before my workout this morning... egg w/cheese on toast and a cup of skim milk. I waited about an hour and a half before I worked out... but I cannot run after eating!!! My stomach cramps up sooo bad. So it's a little harder to run. I wasn't feelin' it at all. I only ran 2 miles (@6.5 mph) then walked incline for a half mile and cooled down for about 3 minutes... followed by my floor exercises.

I really want to get some kettlebell weights... I saw them at the store the other day and I think I'm going to buy them. After Christmas of course when I have more money!!!

Right now I'm procrastinating really bad... I do not want to go back to school but I have to!!! I have sooo much studying to do and my paper to write. Eek... this week is going to be hell! BUT it is off to a good start and since I was still home this morning I was able to weigh myself and I was 137.8 so that was nice to see :)

I think we should call this "HELL WEEK":reddevil: I think we're going to need to be here for eachother big time this week. You - exams, Me - shows, Lisa - Shag... "HELL WEEK"!!!

We might now "kill" it this week, but we can still beat it up a bit ;)

Nice that you've started hell week off with a nice run though... so far I've started off with coffee ;)

Wow look at those pics!! What a difference - your core is so tight and your legs are so small! Awesome job sarah!! I don't have a lot of time and probably won't the rest of the week but I just want to say thanks for all your motivation and for inspiring me to go faster and faster on the treadmill! I couldn't have done it without you pushing me along! Good luck on all your exams and hopefully you are almost finished that paper. Talk soon.

Thanks everyone! I'm excited to start weight training next semester... I think I'm about ready to work on toning up now!

Last night I went out with my roommate. Had some beers, had a good time! Snacked when I came home of course. Slept in til 10AM!!! Oh boy!!! But I hit the gym hard today... ran 4 miles @6.5 mph and biked 4 miles... 1 hour cardio total. I'm going to do my floor routines in a bit here but I'm going to eat first because all I had this morning was a few pineapple chunks and a clementine!

I've got a lot to do before 3:15... lunch... finish workout... shower... study for my exam... and tweak my paper so I can hand it in! YES I did my entire paper last night in a little under 2 hours... IDK why I put it off for so long! It was so easy! But I'm short on the page count... I need to have 6 pages but I only have 5 1/2. Not a problem!

Gotta run... not much time left!
