Inspired, motivated, and READY!!! :)

Never did my floor exercises yesterday... had time, just didn't do 'em! I never even stretched yesterday so my legs were hurting a little this morning. I ran 5K but took the pace down to 6.0 mph and then cooled down a few minutes. I did my floor exercises today and have added some more crunches to my abs routine. For breakfast I had oatmeal, and egg w/ cheese, and a cup of skim milk. Now I have to do laundry, get ready for class, pack everything, return textbooks, study, and take my last exam! All by 1 PM! EEK I better get a move on.....

Yay for Christmas break!!!! :)

Aww thanks!!! That means a lot to me! When I first came to this website, I started this only because of another journal I read (Here I am rock you like a hurricane - check it out! Melissa is awesome!) so it's crazy to think that I can be an inspiration like she was for me. This forum is SOO helpful and I don't think I'd be where I am right now without it!

Thank you :D It definitely goes by fast in the beginning... now it's slowing down but I'm sticking with it because my journey isn't done just yet!

Alright so weigh in results..... 137.6 .... LAME!!!!! Ok, why is it that a few weeks ago I was PRAYING to see 137 and now I do and I'm all mad about it? Well I'm not really mad. I guess it's just because I was EXPECTING more of a loss this week. Ahhh well. Now I know I just gotta really kick some ass this week because next Friday is already Christmas and my goal is 135! I know I can do it. I'm home now so I'll probably be weighing myself more but I think I'll need it this week to keep a close eye on how I'm doing.

I'm really angry because I'm having some knee pains that are really bothering me.... last night I was limping because my right knee hurt so bad I could not put pressure on it as I was walking. UGH. I know it's from running....

Time to work out. Gonna see what I can do on the treadmill! Even if it's just a mile, anything to get my heart pumpin'.

WHAT?!?! I thought for sure you were going to be WAY down this week!!! Amazing what stress will do. Now that all the school stress is gone it'll just melt right off of you!! The progress is there, just look at your pictures. YOU LOOK AMAZING!!! The scale is just not telling you that this morning, BUT I AM ;) I'm the opposite today. The scale is down, but I feel "jiggly":ack2:

I hope your knee starts cooperating for you... that just sucks!!

Thanks Marie!!! I was really hoping for more of a loss but what can ya do. I also pigged out on candy at my friends house last night while we watched movies so that probably wasn't any good for me. I'm just trying to look at the big picture - I'm only 2.5 pounds away from goal weight (but I'm going to make a new goal once I hit it) and that just makes me so proud! I can't believe I've almost lost 20 pounds. Never thought I could do that. And I was just thinking back to one of my old posts, how EXCITED I was when I weighed 147. I remember writing, "I can't even remember the last time I saw 1-4-7 on the scale" so I'm trying to look at the big picture... I'm 1-3-7 now and I should be even more excited now!! I'm just ready to get through the holiday's... for a new year, a nice fresh start... and to get right back into this weight loss journey full force. I think I have lost a little "passion" for it (for lack of a better word?) because I have come farther than I thought I would and I don't feel like I need to hurry hurry hurry to finish line.

Ran 2 miles this morning and did my floor exercises. Have been eating crappy today... but trying to drink more water cuz I keep forgetting about it!!!
 
Ok - this is the plan. Since I've been eating cookies like ALL day from the damn cookie exchange... I'm getting rid of them all. However I have to do it, I do not want any of these cookies in my house anymore. This is my only weakness because I don't go out and buy fast food, and we pretty much have nothing in our house to eat anyway (lol well it's only me and my mom and dad!) so without all the cookies, it will be sooo much easier for me to lose these last 2 pounds during the holiday's. I'm getting rid of the candy in my room from St. Nick too.

I'm going to go really strong this week. And I'm setting goals:
1. Drink atleast 4 water bottles a day - which will equal 68 ounces... a big step from what I'm drinking right now!
2. NO alcohol until after Christmas.... yes this will be a challenge because now I'm home for break and everyone wants to party! But I'm not going to give in. I will volunteer to DD for anyone that I go out with.
3. Aim for 1,400 calories/day.

I'm going to create a running schedule for myself so that I have a strict plan and there's no wondering how much I'll be able to run or stopping myself early because I just don't feel like it.

Okay, I feel better now :D

10 intervals - 1 min walk @ 4.0 mph / 1 min run @ 6.8 mph
Run 1 mile @ 6.0 mph

This got me a little over 4 miles and I was on there for 45 minutes :) With my dumbbells, I did side bends, biceps curls, "bench press" on the exercise ball, I also did my butt exercise where I lay on the floor and put my feet up on the couch and lift my pelvis up and squeeze the butt! lol I did leg lifts (inner and outter) and finally all my crunches! I've made a few adjustments to my abs routine because I want to get them more defined!

1 water bottle down, 3 more to go (at the very least!)

OH and I weighed myself after my workout just because I was curious... and I was 137.4, 0.2 down from yesterday, so that was nice to see because usually I go up a little after a workout and having water. ALSO because I had my last hoo-rah with the Christmas cookies yesterday - I'm surprised I didn't gain!

Okay, breakfast time then it's off to work :D

Yesterday was great. I drank my 4 bottles of water, I ate good foods, I didn't buy any snacks at work or eat any pizza that the girls ordered, didn't eat any left over xmas cookies that I brought to work on Friday... so I was really excited about that! I also volunteered to drive my friend and my boyfriend home last night since they wanted to drink... so I went out with them and I didn't have one sip of alcohol! Just drank my water :)

This morning the scale said 137.0 so I'm on the right track! I haven't worked out today yet but I'm planning to just do an easy 5K and then hit the treadmill up harder tomorrow. I'm going to my boyfriend's family xmas get-together thing today, so there will be lots of food but I'm going to make myself a salad at home before I go so I won't be as hungry and won't pig out! And I'll bring a water bottle with :)

I'm really excited for this week... I have off all day tomorrow, so I get to spend the whole day with my sweetie! I'm only working half days on Tuesday and Wednesday... then it's arleady CHRISTMAS! I can't believe it! I can't wait to see what I got :p I've been a good girl I think!!!! :D

Really, I will have only 2 days of break in my diet, the 24th and 25th. It's the first Christmas I spend with them and in Finland, I want to try traditional food here and enjoy the meals with them... but this doesn't mean eating like a little pig :) and on the other days I will be on track!!!

Hey thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the food during Christmas! I'm going to my boyfriend's Christmas where everyone in the family is bringing something, and it's all reallllly good food. So I decided that I'll just try a little bit of everything, but I'll fill up on VEGGIE appetizers first so maybe I won't pig out as much! And I have a confession to make!!! You can go ahead and eat a piece of chocolate now... cuz I had a few treats yesterday! :angelsad2: Hhaha I had a mini cupcake, a few hershey kisses, and this cookie bar thing. But the thing is I stayed within my daily calories and stuck to water all day, ate good other than that so I didn't feel SOO bad. As long as the chocolate and stuff is kept to a minimum, and not an every day thing... I guess it's fine! Props to you for resisting that chocolate! I'm not sure I would have had the strength to do it :D

So because I gave in a little yesterday to the sweets, I was SURE that I wouldn't have lost any weight BUT I was very happy to see that I am 0.6 lbs down from yesterday, and now I'm at 136.4!!! :D I am on my way to 135 and I have faith that I can do it by Friday!!

This morning for my run I have planned to do a 2 mile run @ 6.5 mph followed by 10 intervals of 1 min walk @ 4.0 mph / 1 min run @ 6.8 mph.

I better get going because I'm spending the day with my boyfriend and we have lots to do!!!

Finished my run! I wanted to stop sooo bad half way through my intervals because I was getting stomach cramps (weird because I didn't even eat before my run) so that was really bothering me but I just squeezed and pushed on my stomach as I ran and that helped? lol

Oh and after I went to the bathroom this morning I was 136.2 LOL so yes I am going to see 135 this week FOR SURE ain't nobody stoppin' me!! Here is how determined I am: I actually packed myself a lunch to take to my boyfriend's house today so that when we are out shopping and stuff I won't be tempted to stop somewhere for food... cuz I'll already have a lunch! Turkey sandwich, almonds, celery w/dip, and a granola bar :D Haha he is going to think I'm such a nerd when he sees me with my little brown lunch bag!

Just had a bowl of oatmeal and a clementine for breakfast... gonna drink some milk to get a little more calories because I'm only at about 200 and that is pretty low.

135.8 this morning!! :) Have yet to run.... REALLY don't feel like it!! But I know I just gotta do it. It's so much harder when I know I don't have to be to work til 2:30 so all I want to do is sit around allll morning! Time to put on the workout clothes and get it done!

^ I need some of those right now! This morning on my running schedule I had planned to run 4 miles @ 6.5 mph. I KNOW I am capable of doing this... I've done it already (only twice so far on the treadmill) so I was really upset when I had to stop myself at 2.5 miles. I was trying really hard to push myself today, and I kept telling myself over and over "You've done this already, you can do it again. If you can't even run 3 miles, how are you going to run 13?" Literally, I was talking to myself in my head as I was running! But when it came to the 2.5 miles mark, I had to take it easy. I walked a half mile on incline and cooled off up to 3.1 miles to make it a 5K for the day. I think I should have made today a little easier since yesterday was a pretty intense workout. Aside from that... I'm getting SO BORED of the treadmill! GOSH why does it have to be snowing and freezing outside?! I would run outside every day and never get bored. Can't wait for spring!

On the flip side, I'm very happy with the progress I have made this week. I have to admit, I've kicked some major booty since Friday (aka horrible eat as many cookies as you can day) AND another thing, my boyfriend can't stop talking about how much he LOVES my body now! He won't take his hands off of me, LOL and last night when I left his house I came home and had a text from him saying, "Sarah you're body is so sexy! I can't stop thinking about it!" ;) It makes me blush a little :blush5:

Well, I'm going to relax a little bit here before work... wrap some Christmas presents, maybe clean my room? I have a hard time doing that usually :p
