Maybe you could look for a running group. We have tons of them here and they are out rain, snow, shine... doesn't matter. Could brake it up for you a bit. And once you start the weight training in Jan. that'll change it up for you too!!

LOVE that you changed you ticker... on Tuesday ;) It's different when you have a scale to jump on EVERYDAY :p I'm almost glad that I won't have mine over the holidays... keep the stress levels down!!

(men are great arn't they?!? thats why we keep them around ;) )

Hey! Gotta make this quick... lots to do today!

Yesterday was a little off in the eating healthy department. But I'm back on track today. And I also had a really great run this morning:

1 mile run @ 6.5 mph
5 intervals - 1 min run @ 6.8 mph / 1 min walk @ 4.0 mph
1 mile run @ 6.3 mph
5 intervals - 1 min run @ 6.8 mph / 1 min walk @ 4.0 mph
1 mile run @ 6.0 mph (increased up to 7.0 mph for the last quarter mile)
+ cool down walk
= 5.17 miles, 55 minutes

This is my new favorite workout on the treadmill!

Back to 136.2 this morning but I'll update tomorrow with my official Christmas weight and we'll see if it's back in the 135's!

Thank you so much! I can't wait for the holiday's to be over so I can jump right back into this....

I got new running shoes, an exercise ball, and a kettlebell with a workout DVD!!! So excited. This morning I was 136.8 ... bleh but must have been from all the cheese and crackers and cookies I had last night at my aunt's house! Whatever though, I'm not even mad about it... my grandpa last night asked me how much weight I lost and said it shows! And my other grandpa today put his foot on my back cuz I was laying on the floor coloring with my cousin and said "skinny!" lol but I do feel huge right now after eating!! UGHH and no workout this morning... no time for it.... but I got so much new stuff, new jeans, mini skirt, some hott knee high boots :p I'm gonna look flyyyy for new years!! :D

Xmas pics... this year vs last year! yes my boyfriend is wearing the same shirt... he never dresses up so this is like the only nice shirt he has! LOL

The best part about losing the fat isn't that you get a better appearance, or that you look better... it is the fact you get to buy new clothes, definitely!! Yeah, I'm pretty selfish, I lose the fat for myself, and myself only.^_^

Thank you soo much :) Yes I love new clothes! I'm still trying to get over the fact that I got rid of soo many clothes that didn't fit me anymore because I was accepting the fact that I was overweight and there was nothing I could do... now I'm beating myself up for getting rid of all those clothes because they would fit now!! Grr.. oh well... moving on :D

LOL ohh yes I am enjoying this Christmas and all the food it comes with to the FULLEST! Literally.. full-est. Oh boy...

This morning it was extremely hard to wake up... I kept setting my alarm later and later and pretty much decided already that I was not going to work out... but then I realized that I didn't work out yesterday, AND this morning I was up at 137.2 so I NEEDED to get my blood pumping so I felt a little better... and so later on when I'm eating everything in sight I won't feel as bad? Ugh. I only ran 2 miles... didn't get many floor exercises in because I was feeling dizzy.. it was weird. I thought I was going to pass out. I got some sugar in me though and felt better.

Boyfriend's family Christmas today... food and drinks. That's all it's about today. I'm going to enjoy myself and not worry about my weight any more for this week. I'm still going to work out but I'm not counting on any weight loss til the new year. Too much going on right now to worry about it anyway.

Congrats on practically reaching your goal already! You look incredible. Don't worry about adding on a pound or two over the holidays. Pretty much everyone gains something. LOL
 
Hey Sarah Merry Christmas!! Wow I missed you and this site and boy have a got in a rut the last 10 days! I only made it to the gym once! I totally will never learn my lesson and now I have to work extra hard to get back to where I was before my dominican trip! I have a wedding tomorrow night and don't even want to think about putting on the dress because I'm so bloated and gross from all the food and chocolate and lack of exercise!!
So glad you got spoiled for Christmas!! You deserved it! The stuff you got sounds very fun and exciting! You did really well in my eyes so far during the holidays so you should be proud - it's soooo hard!!! Chat with you soon - got lots of catch up on and still need to post!

Well, since my last post... here is what has happened:

I went to my boyfriend's Christmas party. And there was everything you could want to eat and more. I had meatballs, cheese and crackers, taco dip, chicken enchilada dip, chicken wontons, deviled eggs, brownies, cookies, margaritas, mimosa's... I literally ate until I could not eat any more. And I payed for it once again. Terrible stomach ache, just wanted to go to sleep but I could not... had to make multiple trips to the bathroom, threw up a little... and no, it was not from the drinks! I was barley buzzing since I was eating so much and sipping quite slowly throughout the day. I could not believe how much my stomach was pushing out, it was gross! LOL I'm just glad that night is over... and I think I might have learned my lesson now...

No workout Sunday. I went shopping with my grandma and cousin all day at an outdoor mall so by the time I got home I just wanted to relax and go to sleep. During the day, I ate oatmeal for breakfast, a burger with fries for lunch, and beef roast for dinner (beef, carrots, potatoes). I had a little cheesecake after.

Monday morning I ran a 5K @ 6.5 mph. It was pretty hard... my running lately hasn't been very good... but I pushed myself to the end and got through it. I had half a bagel w/cream cheese and an egg for breakfast. Then it went downhill. Got a vanilla chai tea latte at work, had my lunch that I packed (turkey sandwich, granola bar, almonds, celery w/ranch dip, 2 clementines) and then my friend that works at Domino's brought us a free cheese pizza. So I had 2 slices of that and declared that my dinner. Went to a party and drank 3 16oz. beers, had 2 shots, and by 11PM I was getting the munchies. I shared a sub with my boyfriend but didn't eat much of it. Then when we left we went to George Webb's and I ate 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, a sausage patty, and a bagel.... YEAH. Wow.

This morning I ate 3 mini bagels with cream cheese (about 300 cal). I didn't really need to eat them but I HAVE to have breakfast every day, so... oh well. And not that anyone really needs to know but I was able to crap finally this morning... I've been backed up for like 2 days so I feel a lot better now!

No workout today, yet. But I plan to do a run after work tonight. I am going to be off work until Monday after today so I will have PLENTY of time to workout. New Years Day might be an exception though... not sure if I'm going to feel like doing ANYTHING that day!

I think I'm going to skip my weigh in this Friday and do it the Friday after... I don't know yet. I just want to get re-focused and on track, back to the grind!

That's all for now... I'm going to try to eat really good today and drink LOTS of water! I need it!

Thank you Alta! It is really tough trying to get back into the swing of things full force but I know we will all be here to help each other out and get through it together!!!

So today I totally sort of just failed. After my bagel breakfast, I made a salad with onions and tomatoes, grabbed 3 clementines and headed to work. When I got there, my co-worker was munching on pan-style deluxe pizza from Pizza Hut! UGH. I gave in and had a slice - but I sliced one slice in half so it was a very small slice. At LEAST that! Jeez. Then I decided I wanted chocolate. So I had a Hershey's chocolate with almonds candy bar. I ate my clementines and drank water. That was that.

Got home... heated up some left over beef, carrots, and potatoes from the beef roast we had the other night. Then I proceeded to have some peanut butter malt custard - WOW, SARAH! REALLY? That's what I get for skipping my run tonight :banghead: I can just tell I have been eating crap lately... the double chin is starting to show and I'm not liking it! Tomorrow morning I'm going to do my 1 mile run / 5 intervals / 1 mile run / 5 intervals / 1 mile run routine and that will make me feel a lot better! Plus I'm going to work really hard to get all that water down! I have GOT to cut it out with all these sweets before I give up completely. Christmas is over - there is no excuse now! I will NOT sell myself short... I have goals to make for myself... I'm not going to let this get in my way! I MUST push through it and find my focus again.

I'm going to watch a movie and go to bed. Hopefully my post tomorrow will have some good news!

I feel the same! I only gained 2-3 pounds give or take over the holiday's but I can just tell my stomach is so bloated! It's a bummer for sure but it's not the end of the world!!! Thank you for your support... couldn't do it without ya!

Good news :D My mom added me to her gym membership this morning so I went there and had a pretty nice work out! I was so excited to run on the track instead of a treadmill - I was flyin'! First I ran one mile.. which took me about 9:45. Then I got on the treadmill and walked @ 3.5 mph incline of 8% for 10 minutes. Ran another mile - 9:30. Took a little walk and ran another mile - 8:45!!!! :D I can't believe I improved by a minute on the THIRD mile! I figured I would be slowing down since I was getting tired but nope :D I did my floor exercises there as well... so I'm feeling really good and can't wait to go to the gym now instead of just running on my treadmill in the basement this whole Christmas break!!!

I ate a clementine before the gym (40 cal) had 5 whole wheat crackers w/cream cheese (100 cal) and an egg w/ cheese and toast for breakfast (210 cal). So I'm at 350 cals for the day which is good! I need to start writing it all down again - it helps me so much and I have forgotton just how important it is to keep track of it all!!! Also I drank 45 ounces of water so far today! I was 138.4 this morning... just had to weigh myself... I need to know where I'm at. Forget weighing in 2 weeks later. I don't want to lose track! I'm happy that I'm using it more as a guide instead of getting angry over it. I know I can get these last few pounds off so I'm not worried. I just want to get them off so I can move on to my next goals!!!

That's a pretty good workout there. Eat really good over the next few days and you might be surprised how much your stomach shrinks. I really wish our bellies were not so reactive to big meals. I swear mine can grow two inches or more just from one binge. Then it takes days of eating good to shrink back down, but at least it does.
