Inspired, motivated, and READY!!! :)

Those Kettle Bells will do that to you!! I remember the day after my first class I couldn't sit on the toilet either! I needed help down. What size weight were you using? The ones I use are 8 lbs but they seem so much more heavy - I think I am almost ready to try the 12lb. I want to go on Saturday so hopefully I make it happen.
Have fun shopping today - I'm so jealous!
When I get back from my trip it is really going to be time to kick butt - for now I am just trying to get in control again. Oh and water water water - I haven't been drinking nearly enough! Keep it up Sarah!!!

Hey Sarah!!! You ladies are really making me want to try these Kettle Balls! Sounds so interesting. :)

I love shopping!! I went this past week, and there were great sales right now!
How sweet, a ring! :D! Was it just an I love you ring? How long have you guys been together now? :)

Ohhhh my goshhhhh.... I'm so sore from those damn kettle bell work outs yesterday! I think those squats killed me the most. I sat down on the toilet this morning and THAT hurt! Sheeeesh. I'm going to have to do a lot of stretching today. My arms don't hurt though - so I think today I will focus on my arms. And my abs... those don't hurt either :)

~ Sarah

Squats are evil... in a very good way!!!

LOL!!!!!You said "Hammer Time"! Isn't Hammer before your time? Have fun shopping.

Definately before your time ;)

Hey!! I'm hip with it! LOL:coolgleamA:

And this proves it. You can't be "hip" with Hammer Time, you have to be "down" with it ;)

Gosh I'm even more sore than yesterday! I used a 10lb kettle bell. My boyfriend's mom got me it for Christmas... an 8lb might be better but 10 was the lightest they had at the time. I am slacking on the water too :(

You should try kettle bells! Go out and get one! I think mine was like 20-25$ at Target and it came with a DVD that shows different moves you can do with it. You can't feel it at the time really.. but the next day, WOW does your ass hurt!!! :ack2: The ring was just a Christmas present but it is two hearts intertwined with little diamonds in the center of each. It's cute :) We have been together for a year and a half... seems much longer than that though LOL

You know what? As I was typing that.. I was like... "does hip even sound right? or would down sound better... eh, I'll go with hip" LOL for real!!! I fail :(

Yesterday sucked. Eating sucked. Drank a lot with my friends. Consumed way too many calories, and never even worked out! I was out and about all day though - I really didn't even just sit down to relax until about 6:30 PM. I haven't worked out yet today but I am going to FOR SURE because I feel really gross. All the food and drinking from yesterday + bloating and period cramps = no fun. And I feel really crappy about myself right now.

I don't even want to weigh myself tomorrow. F*@#$%^ it! I'm not going to. Not until I know I'm on the right track and I know that I'm losing weight - not gaining or just being at a stand still.

I honestly don't think I will be 130 by Valentine's day. We'll see how it goes though.... I think I can get CLOSE but.... eh.... I JUST WANT TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL AND GET BACK INTO MY ROUTINE!!!! AHHH :reddevil:

Not feeling good about myself right now, if you couldn't tell.... HMPH.

Awww...sunshine!! Cheer up!!! You work very hard, and you deserve a little one day break. It's okay, forgive yourself for yesterday and realize today is a brand new day!!! Sometimes, I've actually seen here with a lot of people, one day of derailing actually brings them nearer to their weekly goal. I dunno why, I can't explain it...but it astounds me how sometimes, people mess up for a day,...and then Whala...some LBS gone on the scale!!!

I wish that for you!! :D! .....and that is SO SWEET about the ring!!! 1 1/2 years is a long time....I can't wait for the day I get a ring!! hahah!

I feel ya Sarah. I haven't even posted in my journal yet today because I feel crappy too. Maybe it's just from coming off all that sugar that is causing the down - or TOM - let's blame that. Mine is coming in a few days too :(
Don't stress about the goal too much - there is no rush to get to 130, you have come so far and look amazing - you should still be proud. Think of the clothes you were wearing before you started and how funny it would be to put them on again - they would fall off you.
I promise I will kick your butt when I get back from my trip - I'm going to need a butt kick too. Getting back to routine will really help so don't stress out much about the scale until then - just keep those awesome work outs up and things will be fine - at least you didn't gain 7 pounds over the holidays!! Cheer up friend - just reading your post has brought some happiness to my day - not because you are down but just because I can relate and like to hear from you too! Did you buy anything shopping? Any good deals?:seeya:

Hey, it's not a bad thing!! Everyone makes fun of the 80's, but the 90's were so much worse. At least the 80's had a style ;)

Ok, enough of this!!! You have 2 choices... 1 - you can sit at home and wait for life to fall into the place you want it too, or 2 - make your own luck!! "Stop wearing your wishbone where your backbone outta be!!!" ;) Change things up a bit... start your weight training. Life is all about overcoming excuses. I'm not saying that your not allowed to be down and have bad days, but don't lose your goals!! My husband manages a plant with 35 guys. All day, all he hears is all the reasons why they can't meet the daily goal. His response is always the same, "no, I won't change the goal. You need to step it up" Then goes out on the floor, moves a few people around, changes a few things, cracks the whip and they always meet the goal!! I have no doubt that once you get your groove on you'll see amazing change... but only YOU can make the decision to start. You are fabulous Sarah. You have been the motivator on here for months now. I think it's time we motivate you :)

There is some "experts" out there that say you should have one binge day a week b/c it speeds up your metabolic processes... but of course they recomment you binge on healthy foods ;)

Funny.... I wasn't going to post today either just because I was feeling so crappy about everything! :-/ But I need to so I hold can myself accountable... I actually tried on some old pants and jeans from a few years ago that are now starting to get loose on me... whereas before I was just surprised that I could even fit into them again... so I'm trying to look at my progress that way.. because the scale just doesn't show it. I just can't wait until we are all on the same page again - we really need it! And I got AWESOME deals shopping... a black jean skirt, a t-shirt, a zip-up hoodie, a hat, a purse, and 10 pairs of earrings.... i only spent 50$$!!! The skirt, shirt, and purse were only 5$ each... I could not pass up those deals!

I have no doubt that once you get your groove on you'll see amazing change... but only YOU can make the decision to start. You are fabulous Sarah. You have been the motivator on here for months now. I think it's time we motivate you :)

I'm so thankful for you! And I agree... I do need you all for motivation now.... comments like the ones here really help me get my head out of my ass. I have to take action NOW. Just because I ate a bagel for breakfast, leftover spaghetti for lunch, and a bowl of ice cream today (what?) doesn't mean I have to make the rest of the day bad. I still have time to work out and I still have nice healthy food in my house to eat for dinner. It's just a matter of DOING it.

HEY SARAH, remember how you could not wait to wake up early and put on those tennis shoes and go to the gym to run? Remember how good it felt? And remember how proud you were of yourself... the first time you ran for as long as you could without stopping... 1.6 miles...... remember how good you felt? And how you couldn't believe that you even made it 2 miles on the treadmill......... remember exactly one week ago when you ran around the track at the gym 84 times non-stop... you ran 7 miles... and you felt accomplished... but you didn't even feel proud like you did when you lasted a wopping TWO miles on the treadmill a few months ago... LOOK at how far you have come... SEE what you have accomplished.... REMEMBER where you started out and where you are now.... you are strong and you can only get stronger... " JUST DO IT "

So now I guess it's time to get a really good stretch (I'm 10x more sore than I was yesterday)... get on my tennis shoes... get my ass on the treadmill.... and RUN.... run..... as in the thing I fell in love with and didn't even know it was possible......

~ Sarah

I ran 2 miles and walked half a mile on incline. My legs were still sore even after my stretch... and my right inner/back thigh started to cramp a little as I was running so I tried to take it easy. But I stretched a lot and I even did some kettle bell "swings" just to work the same muscles again... hopefully the pain will stop. I did bicep curls, side bends, some kettle bell arm raise things, leg lifts, and abs. I had half a peanut butter sandwich, a salad, and a clementine for dinner :) I had some candy after with my boyfriend but I'd say I ended the day on a much more positive note than earlier today. I still feel HUGE and I'm still not sure that I want to weigh in tomorrow... like I said, I'd like to really get on track first.

Bedtime! Goodnight..

Nice work ending the day on a positive! Your doing awesome and will reach your goals - I know it! Maybe not on the exact date but this year for sure! You've hit a little speed bump but you are going to come back in full force - set your mind to it and it will happen! My mind hasn't been very motivating lately and I need that back! I am going to really work hard this weekend and for the days I'm here next week and hopefully be down a pound or two before my trip. Have a great weekend and get to the gym! Oh and nice purchases at the mall!

Impressive workout! Hopefully your calf muscle relaxes a bit before the next gym visit. Did you get enough water? I know I can cramp up if I dont drink enough beforehand.

I am going to be right there with ya this week! It's time to buckle down! Enjoy your weekend as well :)

I wish I had your motivation for the gym!! Keep it up, you'll get there :) x

I wish I had the same motivation that I used to!!! I remember working out twenty some days in a row.... yeah.... that doesn't happen any more lol!

It is actually the muscle that is sort of my inner thigh, close to my butt lol idk what to call it, I've never even FELT that muscle before! I haven't been doing great with the water intake lately but I try my best :-/

I woke up this morning and went to the bathroom like I always do. Usually on my way out I weigh myself. Well, this morning I didn't. I said, "forget it!" So I made myself some oatmeal for breakfast and had a banana as well. Then I went to the bathroom again and was like, "Okay, just weigh yourself." I was 138.0 -- but I was actually glad to see that considering I haven't been below that this week, and that I have my period right now. So I'm thinking that by next week, since I'll be off my period and I am GOING to do really good, I should be down 1-2 pounds. You might have noticed, I changed my Valentine's Day goal to 133 pounds. This is way more reasonable considering the track I'm on right now. Had I stuck close to 135, I could probably get to 130 but I just don't think that losing 8 pounds in about a month is going to happen? LOL... so now my next 3 goals are as follows:

133 lbs - Valentine's Day
128 lbs - Spring Break
125 lbs - Birthday (May 13th)

I KNOW I can get to 125 by my birthday... as long as I stay on track, there is no reason why I couldn't. That gives me 5 months to lose 13 pounds... well, I've already lost 18 in just about 4 and that was with all the backtracking and holiday crap. SO... 125 by my 20th birthday it is :D

I'm just happy that these few pounds that have been fluctuating haven't being showing - I am getting more toned and that's the important thing. When I get back to school, I'm going to take measurements... I haven't taken them since break started!

No work out today - I was SO tired this morning. I had planned to workout after work, but I skipped. I'm going to work out tomorrow after work because I'll get home at 5:30 PM rather than 7:30 PM. It's kind of hard to work out when I get home at 7:30 on a Friday night and my parents have our neighbors over and there are bottles of Bacardi and Jack Daniel's on the counter and they are making pizza. Yeah. Doesn't really motivate me to work out, LOL. And I ate some of the pizza but I think I stayed within 1,600 calories today, so that's not bad.

Well, that's all for now! Goodnight,
~ Sarah

Hello :) Finally... Sunday night. Quite happy the weekend is over actually... I'm ready to have a really great week.

Saturday: Worked all day... it was super slow, so I was eating something constantly (whatever I had packed for lunch... plus peanut m&m's and a chai tea latte that did not come with my lunch bag :) ) I came home form work and was in a huge rush to get ready before I had to meet with my friends. I ran a mile on the treadmill and did a few floor exercises, but it was very hurried because I wasn't sure how much time I had to meet my friends. I ate a small salad before I left. Got ready to go out with my friends... they wanted to eat at some mexican restaurant before the party we were going to... so I had a beef enchilada. We got to the party and it was way to packed - we stood in the same spot for over an hour. I drank not even 1/2 cup of wop and then we left. I didn't want to just go to sleep when we got back because I was in the mood to be around people, so I went out to my boyfriend's shanty with his friends and we hung out on the ice for a while. I had 2 beers there. No late night snacking, that was a plus!

Sunday: Oatmeal for breakfast. Ate 3 of mom's oatmeal cookies. Went to the gym - ran 3 miles around the track, did 20 minutes on the elliptical with highest incline and resistance of 8, then finished with my floor exercises. I was happy that I got in close to an hour of cardio today. For lunch I had a salad, peanut butter sandwich, and 5 whole wheat crackers. Went to my boyfriend's house to watch the Packer game ( :( good game, terrible ending!) and we ordered pizza. Had 3 slices... I could have stopped at 2 but I declared it my last hoo-rah FINALLY *lets keep our fingers crossed* because this week I'm declaring a kick-ass week. Man, it's been long since we've had one of those :D

I already set out my journal where I log my calories for the day. I have had it buried under a stack of books since my Christmas break started... jeez! I filled out 5 pages - Monday through Friday - where I will track my exercise for the day, food log, and water intake. It's very organized and it's right there for me... no reason not to be writing in it. I am off work til THURSDAY so I have plenty of time for the gym and to be HEALTHY and focused on my diet and exercise again. And I'm going to try my best to wake up early and do the gym BEFORE I sit around... then eat breakfast... then sit around... I realized that I have MUCH more energy first thing in the morning than I do when I wake up later and have breakfast before I workout!

Better hit the hay early tonight... hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. Tomorrow marks 4 months exactly since I started losing weight. I've lost 18 pounds so far... 13 more to go, and I'm giving myself 5 months to do it! I'm going to finish this strong :D

~ Sarah

Happy Monday!

Today marks exactly 4 months in to my weight loss journey so far. Wow! I didn't know I could make it this far. 4 months isn't even that long! LOL but I'm reflecting, and I have come a long way. I'm really happy that I just dove into it - no waiting around for the new year to come. I have a jump start on this new year! :D

And might I add that today is off to a WONDERFUL start! I'm feeling really great about this week already. Here is my workout today:

50 minutes spinning class - holy crap did the instructor pushed us really hard!
1 mile run around the track - didn't time it, but I'm pretty sure it was somewhere between 8-9 minutes :)
Side bends, biceps curls, abs, stretch

I had a granola bar before the gym (90 cal). For breakfast, I had 1 cup of Special K cereal w/half a cup of skim milk (165 cal) and an apple (80 cal). Total of 335 calories for today and I'm right on track! I also drank 2 bottles of water (48 ounces).

Monday is off to a great start - rather, kick ass week is off to a great start! I'm feeling re-motivated and I am confident that Friday's weigh in will be a good one!

Let's have a great week!
~ Sarah
