I'm actually pretty happy with what I have been eating. Dinner(which is breakfast for me) is pretty much anything that isn't fried. I eat the correct portion, and don't go over 400 calories. Lunch, when I'm working, is the same. I bake chicken breasts that I've marinated in lemon, cajun seasoning, and minced garlic. I take one of those, along with brown rice and whatever frozen veggie I have on hand, plus a 90 calorie pack of rice cakes, and a Crystal Light pack. That meal almost hits 400 calories...almost. Then I scatter apples and other low calorie snacks throughout the night. I usually end with oatmeal, or Special K.
My dinner provides me with variety, and the other meals provide me with the structure I really need. I'm super happy with this plan. It's given me results, and doesn't leave me feeling deprived. I'm hardly eating sugar, no white rice or breads, and no fried foods. I feel super healthy already.
On a completely different note...I came home this morning from work, and my 3 year old daughter woke up when I got in. We have a little cat structure for our kitties, that consists of plastic tubes and mesh material. My daughter likes to take the plastic tubes and act like she's a ninja with a sword. Pretty darn adorable. This morning, however, she decided it would be MUCH more fun to stick one of these tubes onto her finger...where it got stuck.
I couldn't stop laughing. She wasn't upset in the least. She just kept saying, "Mommy...get it off. I need to go fight." hahaha SO...I tried and tried, but it wouldn't budge. Finally, I had to pour some vegetable oil down the open end of the tube, and wedge a plastic butter knife in between the tube and her finger. When her finger popped out, oil went all over me and the floor. lol! All she said was, "Thanks. Gonna go wash my hand now."
She is the big reason I want to live to see 100.
