I'm here to save you

I actually read all the way thru the old thread :banghead: you know, the one with Mr Congeniality :troll: and now this one... i don't know whether to laugh or cry!

lol... i guess i do! :cheers2:

he needs to learn how to be a better glutton??

ooh you gonna give gluttony lessons?

He needs to have a stiff dose of reality slapped in his face. This cannot be done in this setting.

If you think I am wrong, prove it.

You are lying to yourself. You know you are a glutton. Just admit it and man up to your denial. Look in the mirror and say to yourself, "I've been a glutton. There is no reason for my past actions except my extreme greed and selfishness. It's now time to be an adult and do right."

I've researched everything and know this will work.

See thread where he called me out... he discredited all of this. Not with facts of course... just with meaningless jibber jabber.

I had decided not to read any more threads created by that idiot because he clearly has no idea what he's talking about.

But I do think its an interesting subject, the WHYs of why we eat when we KNOW we're eating over our planned calories and we KNOW we wont lose weight like that yet we're either hungry or having intense cravings so we just buckle under and eat. Isn't that really the crux of the issue for most of us? This is aside from those who really are very uneducated about proper eating and do no exercise at all; therein lies very obvious problems which are, in comparison to the primal urge to eat problem, very easy to fix.

yeah it's a little difficult to reach out and slap someone on the internet - we sort of have to resort to name calling and insulting... :D

I think you're wrong because Ben Franklin said " Beer is living proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." and since pizza goes so well with beer -then god must have created pizza as well -how can anything be created by god be bad...

You cannot refute GOD!!

That's where I disagree with you.

These psychological 'problems' are not easy to fix when compared to fending off the primal urges to eat.

I also believe you can't segregate the two entirely as separate factors. There's a lot of intermingling between the two.

If someone was brought up for years with terrible habits... changing these habits is a lot harder than finding ways to fake out your biological/physiological system. The mind is a complex beast.

I see the real Chuck Roast is going to be accompanying us in this very thread any minute....

Can't wait!!!!

Pittied = full of pits :)
pitied = to feel compassion for; to have sympathy with

:D

I love being hypocritical and making fun of people's spelling :D

I don't know the shortcuts for the smilies on this forum, but let's just assume for the 13 year old girl deep down inside of me that I just dropped the mouth open one...

I have been bested in forum anal retentiveness...

I have never before been so turned on

Steve, I was talking more about the obvious issues being semi easy to fix. Like people who come on here talking about how they drink soda only and eat fast food only and they literally do no exercise at all. Obviously just changing these habits a bit will take some pounds off. But when you KNOW what's bad and you're making a consicous effort to eat and drink reasonably and sensibly yet you still can't fight your way out of the paper bag, well that's going to PRIMAL rather than UNEDUCATED and purely lazy (i.e. too lazy to get off your ass for a walk or something easy and obvious is a problem with laziness or fitness rather than because of some primal urge to be totally unreasonably lazy). I'm probably still not making my point clear but I tried :).

Give me an example of a primal urge and what you think it's caused by.
