Help with oblique

Hi,

i used to be really skinny and started working out about 7 months ago and i've put on alot of mucle wieght but for some reason my on my left side oblique i can still kinda see my ribs :( ...where as my right side is solid. and it seems like everything i try like "left sided planks" ect. to foucus on it but it seems to work against my progress!

any advice or workout rutines would be appreciated.

Start doing more unilateral work in your workouts and eliminate a dominant side take over, it may just be a genetic thing you might never get rid of it.
 
yea im pretty sure it has somthing to do with dominant side because my other side used to be skinny too, but since i started kickboxing my right side has taken over (perhaps because im right handed?) ill get some pics up...please any ideas or advice.
 
You could try doing Dumbell Side Bends to try and strengthen the weaker side?

A pic or two could show us what you mean and someone might know a better solution.
