Man, I'm so ticked off that my awesome Fitness Streak was totally interrupted! It is truly hard for me not to jump right into it, but I have to remember how important recovery is and I sure don't want to be in agony again due to messing up the clotting process/healing!! :svengo: lol

Having to be very careful with food/choices as well. Such a bummer I'm not able to eat all my raw veggies/salads at the moment. Soon...Soon! ;)

One BIG YEEHAW and Heck Yeah is that due to all this I haven't had any soda since Thursday! :D lmbo!

Hoping I can do more tomorrow!

 Nite * Nite!

Stacy, I just wanted to say how good it is to see your enthusiasm in everyone's diaries. I just haven't been able to find the time or the enthusiasm for the last few weeks & you have taken up the mantle. I really appreciate your support. You are adding a real spark to the WLF, xoxo Cate

Awwww Shucks Cate & Oaks, THANKS! :grouphug:

It's easier for me than many of you bc I'm a homemaker. :seeya:

Don't get me wrong...LOL...I work my tail off around here (with no paycheck) and with my OCD I'm always cleaning something, organizing something, running errands and so on. lol

I work when needed in hubby's slow season which is January-Summer. He works for a Printing Company that runs insurance brochures/cards, pharmacy ads/brochures(like CVS/Walgreens) and stuff like that.

When I do work it's either Serving (Worked at Cracker Barrel for over 3 years) or Retail. ;)

I'm alone most of the time bc son is 21, works and has his own life of course with friends and such. Hubby leaves for work at 3PM and doesn't arrive home until 2:30AM or if it's a 12-hr-shift, 4:30AM.

When our son was born we made the decision we didn't need to own a home or have materialistic things..We wanted to raise him so that's where it all began. I was a stay-at-home mom and loved every minute of it. As he grew and I became older, my OCD became worse (so set in routines/schedules/comfy with my life) that going back to work was very hard bc I was so tired that things changed at home with the cooking, cleaning, laundry and I couldn't keep up. Hubby loves me being at home though bc they are spoiled rotten so I only work when needed. :D lol

They love how I care for them and all the nice suppers they come home to. (I'm great in the kitchen!) Plus, everything is always clean and organized..hahaha!

As my Nannie always said, Your husband wants/needs a Maid in the living room, a Chef in the Kitchen, a Nurse when ill and a Whore in the bedroom. :sifone:

*Giggles*

Love my precious Nannie! We were so very close! Like a Mom to me!

She is my last living grandparent but now lives in a private care home with 2 other Alzheimer patients. :(

Some days she knows who I am * some days she hasn't a clue....

I live for the days/visits where she will have a brief moment of clarity!!! :) She's only 86...
Alzheimer's is evil to the core!

Alzheimer really is cruel, she´s lucky to have you looking out for her though. Great work on the squats!

;) Thanks!

Yes, it sure is!!

I have never experienced this before and to watch a loved one disappear is heart breaking.

What Cate said! You are awesome and super sweet Stacy...and your hubby and son, sure are lucky to have you...and I also second what your nanny said...being 29, I know that women these days are becoming more and more independent (and I love that too, I believe one needs to find whatever it is that will make them happy, there is no right or wrong, just what works for you)....but personally, I admire a lot women who take care of their house, their family - and even if they have an outside job - they do not neglect their role as a wife, mother and household.

Hope you are feeling better every day.

XOXO

Hi Stacy. To answer to your question about my Mum's BD. My Mum has Alzheimers too & I am never sure if she knows who I am. She looks in a daze most times, but is never angry or agitated & seems happy in her world. I remember the Mum she once was & enjoy the time I have with her & am grateful for it. I no longer get sad about it. She had cake(dairy-free) in the nursing home, I gave her a little antique miniature cup & saucer with "I love Mother" on the cup & the saucer & she seemed to like it, plus some beads as she seemed to "acquire" some from somewhere :blush5: I really don't how she did that as she can't walk any more.
It is really nice having you in the forum & we are all getting to know one another well. Your family sounds lovely & they are lucky to have you. Lots of love from Tassie to Texas, xo Cate

Me too CaliGirl! I'm in awe of all men/women that can do it all! WOW!!

I truly think I could be one of those women if the darn OCD wasn't such a thorn in my flesh! It truly is a horrible disorder. Most days you feel like a prisoner!
I'm so thankful for my relationship with Jesus Christ though bc HE holds the key to my cell. Since I cannot take meds for my issues, my faith is the only thing that keeps me sane...hahaha

Cate...:grouphug: What a beautiful gift!! (Made me tear up!) :)
Yes, memories are the best and those cannot disappear!

Nannie & PawPaw lived in the country and I spent every summer with them. (Tawakoni/Wills Point TX) There home looked out at Lake Tawakoni.

They were my True North always! Unconditional Love and Total Acceptance. (I had a screwed up childhood and left parents as soon as I came of age not be classified as a run-away)

PawPaw passed away 3 days after my sons 4th B-Day.

I'm an Unpublished Author and LOVE to write! I need to write about Tawakoni and the saving grace I found there. :)

I have also been considering starting a food/recipe blog re: all the family stories which are a hoot and see how that works out.

Nannie would be featured a lot! As well as my Na'Na Margie. (mom's mother)

One story that comes right to mind is the "Hang-Over" Soup... :D Na'Na Margie and her crazy sisters loved to drink beer and party! :smilielol5:

They always made that soup (which is a favorite fall/winter soup I make ever year!) the next day... never would admit it was a 'hang-over.'

They always got up and said they were a comin' down with the bronchitis.

I think come December I'll be needed that soup recipe, lol! I plan on a good ol' fashioned drunk once this challenge is over!!

** 1,470 to go! **

It has been crazy around here the past couple of days... :willy_nilly:

Now that I'm feeling better and the pain/aching has stopped, I have been doing more and trying to catch up!
I look forward to a fresh start next week re: fitness and back to my schedule of eating/snacking...
That may sound a little strange (LOL), but I have to make myself STOP and eat/snack.. My OCD makes me GO, GO, GO!
In the past, I only ate dinner and of course pigged out bc I was starved. Too many calories all at once.
Part of the reason that caused my weight gain and issues.

I have to come up with a good game plan for next week bc I'm so excited to feel better & get back on track, but I will also be juggling packing! :willy_nilly:

I always have to lightly pack in November to get the house ready for Christmas, but this year I have to wrap everything up and truly pack bc we will be moving after Christmas...

I have a lot of family photos, nick knacks, candles and so on that decorate our home...Those are always packed every year in living room, kitchen, dining room and guest bathroom to set out all the C-Mas Decor.. After 23 years of Marriage, we have 3 huge bins full of things. :santa:

So, gotta make sure I eat, snack, make time for fitness and get packing accomplished!

Send me some of that Christmas enthusiasm please Stacy. I gave away my Christmas tree last year & decorated my pot plants  & I suppose I'll do the same this year, if only for the grand-kids. Are you moving far?

I will send you some enthusiasm!! ;)

Not moving far.. :) We are in Dallas and need to get closer to hubby's job (now, he has 45 minute commute - one way). We need to move to Garland/Mesquite or Sachse.

Hoping for Sachse, but they have grown so much (used to be considered a small country town), that it has become Upper Middle Class re: the cost of rent/living there. *sigh*

We may get lucky and find a Duplex/Town Home we can afford, but more than likely it will be Garland/Mesquite. If we could live in Sachse, hubby would be 15 mins from work!

I'd kill for a 15 minute commute! My 10 miles takes me an hour, but that's as close as I'll ever get if I keep working where I do.

Bless your heart Oaks!

I feel just terrible for poor Dave. :( During the busy season (Aug - Dec) his hrs are 10's and 12's.. Mostly 12's and very FEW days off!!

He leaves at 3pm (shift starts at 4) and he doesn't arrive home until 2:30 am or 4:30 am depending on shift. To live closer would make that SO MUCH EASIER on him!

We are not "fall into bed people..." We have to chill/unwind. He has to shower, warm up dinner and chill a bit before going to bed.

After 2 weeks, he will finally have this Sunday off... Poor Man, doesn't even feel like day off bc he sleeps in, watches tv, eats supper and we have a little bit of time to watch a movie or something and then it's over. I just don't understand why some companies treat their staff like freakin' robots?! :cuss:

They need to have a rotation system so every weekend Group A off on Saturday...Group B off on Sunday... Doesn't sound like Rocket Science to me!!??

**Rant Over**

I just hate to see him so worn out and we hardly see each other for 5-6 months!!!

[emoji15] That's no good Stacy. Poor Dave! Poor you [emoji171] Hope you find somewhere more suitable xoC

Moving right after the holidays sounds like a blessing in disguise:
"Why I don't quite remember where I packed that atrocious...erm...I mean LOVELY holiday sweater you gave me for Christmas last year..." :reddevil:
