I loathe apartment hunting and moving, but being in a new place is lovely. Throwing away everything that may be remotely considered clutter is so freeing!

best of luck Stacy :)i really like moving from one place to another. I loved my husband's previous jobs where his company would send us to different countries for 2 years or so..providing housing, medical, and even the best schooling to the kids in every country..it was a multinational and we could have been all over the world..lol..but, he quit and we came back to his hometown :p as u mentioned your husband's tough routine, my hubby's schedule was also that hard..and the job was also extremely difficult and mentally exhausting, with hardly a weekend free to chill..still once in a while, we managed to explore the new places in the new country, and visit neighboring countries as well. I miss those days..
hey Stacy you mentioned you were a writer.. can you share something with me?? here or inbox?? I love reading..all kinds of books..looking forward :)

Cate: Thanks doll! We will start the search after C-Mas.

kaplooie: :biggrinjester: Exactly! Perfect time to let go of things/have garage sale/donate!

LaMaria: Yes Indeed! ;) Sure hoping to find rent house/town home.. We have lived in apartments our whole life and when we moved to Arkansas for 3 years for hubby's new job, we had our first house ever!! (cost of living is so much better there!) The house was HUGE, beautiful and the property was almost a 1/2 acre. We had a total of 18 pine trees; 2 in front and the rest in back...Omigosh, the biggest back yard I have ever seen! ZuZu was in HEAVEN! She had her very own fenced forest.. :rotflmao: Cleaning up all the Pine Needles was a NIGHTMARE but boy did my weight stay down in AR! Almost made it to the 160's! Even though I stayed around 170, I looked nice, toned and could live with it.. Working at Cracker Barrel there helped to with all that running around.

Sorry, my point of all this... :blush5: After having a house I don't want an apartment!! Even this duplex we are in now is better than apt. (We have a garage at least.) No backyard though just a small/fenced patio. Plus, the neighborhood is BAD! Gotta get out of here! We got stuck here bc of moving back to TX (so expensive) and hubby was once again out of work.. Got stuck "in the hood" bc we could afford it! Poor ZuZu suffers the most! I have to DRIVE her to parks for walking...cannot walk outside around here... Huge problem with my weight loss efforts as well.. I have always been able to lose faster by including her walks as part of my exercise.

Wow khan, how wonderful! :) I would love to Travel! We have just never had the extra $ to vacation/travel... I have never seen the ocean...I feel such a huge desire/ache to walk on the sand in my bare feet and breathe in the salty air. I can just imagine the beauty of the waves and how it would feel for them to end before me and tickle my feet in the sand as I sink into it. :)
Hopefully one day I can experience it. It would be a dream come true!!

All my work is in manuscript form. :)

I haven't updated it to store in new computer bc I boxed everything years ago and stopped writing.

I was a victim of a con-scam and it just broke my heart and devastated me.

Long Story Short: I thought I was dealing with a Literary Agency/Agent.. They had a real office, staff running around, phones always ringing and so on.
I was told how talented I was and how my work was just what they were looking for re: new authors.
I was so excited and we just dreamed of how it was going to change our lives as a family...

Last step was "fee's and such..." After dropping around $1,200, we stopped hearing from them...OF COURSE... Office was closed... I knew in my heart then what a fool I had been.

Found a web site and info at BBB with other victims and we stuck together/worked with police.

In a back room in office, all of our manuscripts were stacked from Floor to Ceiling!! Thousands of them! There were only a couple of walking trails for the entire room.

Once they were found, they were just slapped on the wrist and received community service.

My heart had been ripped out of my chest and thrown to the ground...... community service huh? I haven't written anything since. That was 9 years ago.

I'm ready to write again now though. ;)

People can be really cruel each other; sorry you got conned and more sorry it killed your joy of writing for so long!

So True & Thanks! :hug2:

Well, it's the start of a fresh week and I'm thankful for that!

Last Week was a Nightmare. :ack2: :rotflmao:

At least I maintained.. I was expecting that (no loss), bc my fitness days were super basic and then missing many days as well due to playing catch up bc I got so behind.

I'm ready to have a powerful week........Ready * Set * GO!!!!!

11.8 thru 11.14 STREAK: Plan Ahead! Have Meals/Snacks Packed & Ready for Next Day... 1/7 Days

This is soooooo important this week bc it's Back on Track Time, PLUS I will be so busy with packing all of my regular decor that sits out for the move and so I can set C-Mas Decor out soon.
I'm BAD about getting all caught up in the tasks bc of my OCD and not stopping to eat/snack..

So Far This Week:

Sunday - Leslie Sansone Walking Aerobics w/HIIT ... 2 Miles ... 30 Minutes

I wish I had the will to plan ahead my snacks and meals too Stacy, but although I - for the most part - usually go for the healthy choices of whatever I am craving, I always end up cooking what's available in the moment. Then again, living by myself is easier...I know exactly what's on my fridge and don't buy super caloric temptation food...my temptation food is healthier than the real deal, Lol.

You are such a motivation...even when you have tons of things to do, taking care of your hubby, midst of moving/holiday season...you still manage to take your time to work-out. Those 20-30 daily minutes are GOLDEN to your health....keep going darling...your results WILL COME...they are already here, because I know your mind is in it! Have an AMAZING week.

Cate: :seeya: H ya!

CaliGirl: Thanks so much sweetie! :grouphug:
Good 4 you makin' sure you keep good choices and healthy things around! So Important!

Yesterday was sure busy! :willy_nilly: I got all the decor washed or dusted and today will be packing it all.
My Kitchen/Dinning Rm are done in Roosters, Chickens, Apples & Vintage Labels...like for farm goods; fruits, veggies and so on.
I also have Nannie's Vintage 50's & 60's Corning Ware an Pyrex I display and use! She gave those to me once PawPaw passed and she left their home in the country to downsize into apartment.

I totally should have been a housewife and mom in the 50's! :D :smilielol5: I would have been perfect cleaning and cooking in my little house-dress & pearls!

Omigosh, and the Contests! That would have been me to the T! Have y'all seen the fantastic movie: The Prize Winner of Defiance Ohio?

If you haven't, please rent it! Such a great movie..Based on a true story.

Hi Stacy. The housework gene escaped me. I can ignore it, especially when I have a good book to read, or golf to play, or people to talk to......I like the house to be tidy though! Better scoot. I really don't feel like going to golf today, but I must xoC

:waving: hi ya Cate. ;) Hope golf went well and you found yourself happy/excited once there! :hug2:

Tuesday - Holy Guacamole! :svengo: I didn't get a traditional work out done today, but I got a work out!
I'm sore from head to toe and my bad left heel is killing me!
Had to dig through storage bins today to find the empty ones with packing paper in them to drag inside. It was like playing mystery squat, lift, swing, slide and open for the longest time..
When hubby cleaned out garage last he got things out of order! :toetap05: lol

I didn't think I'd ever find the bins I needed. We have so many that hold all the C-Mas decor, seasonal outdoor decor, odds/ends, things we can't let go of just yet and then our moving bins that have packing paper in them. Some were extremely heavy.... Once that mystery was solved I was running around house packing and started the washing/dusting of a few things in living room and guest bath. I will pack those things tomorrow. Plus, I have been stopping/starting with quite a bit of laundry. My shoulder blades are really sore.. Hope I didn't pull anything and it's just from havin' such a hard/long day!

Cooked a quick 'n easy dinner and then cleaned that up..

Now...The recliner is calling my name and I'm gonna finally sit still and watch a movie! lol

:D I get tired just reading about your day! Some days I´m really happy I don´t have any storage space...

lol LaMaria! ;)

Thanks Tru! :)

Bein' so wore out helped me stay in recliner and was not tempted to snack bc I didn't want to get up! :D Ha!

Better get back ta work... :ack2: *sigh*

Working in living room today.. Windex picture frames/pack (we have a lot of family photos), wash/dust decor & pack and then I'm DONE! :hurray:

Tomorrow will be Scrub Cleaning Day and it will go faster since nothing is in my way! lmbo :p

It will be easier to keep furniture dusted and things picked up until it's time to drag out all the C-Mas decor and decorate.

The really pain in the butt cleaning/packing will come after C-Mas when I have to start on the walls.. Omigosh we have so many shelves, pictures, sconces, and things hung up...

The living room is done in the theme of Live * Laugh * Love and Country.. Lots of word themes... Scriptures and "family" stuff...

I'm probably gonna decorate for C-Mas earlier than usual bc I will not be able to leave it all up until New Year's this time bc of moving. I will have to work fast to take it all down and get started on the major packing. We hope to find a place and move by the end of January/sometime in Feb.

I'm with LaMa, reading your diary always makes me feel like I should a nap afterwards, even though it's you doing all the work!

Me too! I'm exhausted! I'm glad that you can actually sit in your recliner & take a spell sometimes :)

My Thoughts & Prayers are with Paris........As soon as the news broke, I was glued to the news and flash-backed to 911...
I started praying for everyone. My heart broke for everyone. Including Geraldo Rivera..I'm so glad his daughter is okay.. For so, so many - their loved one is not okay.

There will never be the right words to speak after such EVIL ACTS that "try" to destroy us and create fear in us to stop living our lives.

May everyone that is affected by this find peace and comfort...May their hearts heal...May their minds heal...May their pain be eased....

"For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good?
But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. Do not fear what they fear; do not be frightened."

--1 Peter 3:12-14

"The Lord is my Light and my Salvation - whom shall I fear? The Lord is my stronghold of my life - of whom shall I be afraid? ... Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me, even then will I be confident." --Psalms 27:1,3

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." -- John 14:27

Didn't have a chance to report weigh in or check in yesterday...I did not even get to the store until 7PM bc I was glued to the horrific news......

Anyway... I lost 1/2 lb and I'm so thankful for that. :) I'm now 187.0 ....

I truly thought I would have another maintaining week or even a slight gain, so I'm pleased with 1/2 lb!

Burned more cals than I thought, lol. ;)

Hubby has today and tomorrow OFF which is a complete miracle! Finally, he can get some much needed rest!!

Sadly, the reason they are getting this time off is due to the fact when they go back Monday, they will be slammed with new jobs to fill and they will have 12 hour shifts for about 2 weeks with no days off at all.
May even have to work Thanksgiving. *Sigh*

Hope you are all having a great weekend. :seeya:

Sorry to hear there is horrific news. I hope you manage to get Thanksgiving off. And good job on the weight loss!
