Anyways, some good news to share!!!! I hit 125 last night!!!! :willy_nilly: I am very very happy to say ive finally met my original goal!!! ? ON TO THE NEXT!! 120 is my next goal and I know its gonna be a tough road… but im totally pumped!!!!!! And now that I have some people to push me with weights… im gonna be stepping up the toning process!:biggrinjester:
Tonight is chest and back I think… im pretty excited.:hurray:

Also, just wanted to share this small tidbit with everyone. I called my doctors office to ask them out of curiosity what I weighed the first time they saw me. That was February 2005. That was actually a month after I met my boyfriend. The girl pulled my chart and here is what she told me
Febraury 2005- 133.8

Febrauary 2009- 151.8

SOOOO, ladies and gentlemen I weight less today then I did when I met my boyfriend AND when I graduated highschool. Im pretty psyched :hurray:

Tears of happiness just filled up my lower eye lids...seriously. I don't know what to say. Let me try. You are awesome. You did it. You are an inspiration. You are a great success story. Finally, let me do this for you ---> :hurray: And if you were standing in front of me right now I'd give you a high five followed by a big hug. :hug2:
 
Hey guys how are you! I just wanted to stop by and say hello and see how everyone is doing!
Last night I had an incredibly tough workout. I met up with two guys who go to my gym and they were working legs last night… oh my goodness am I SORE today. I was pushed pretty hard through the workout they do. Obviously my body was use to working legs on the machines… and I worked muscles last night that I didn’t even know existed!! Hehe. Some of the things we did were Squats (not sure the weight), Lunges with two 10 lb weights…..40 of them, leg extension (45lbs), leg curls (60lbs), calf rasises (150 lbs), box hops/jumps, regular unweighted calf raises, and stepping. I couldn’t even get my cardio in my legs were so jelloy and tired!!! It’s a good feeling though!

I did squats last night too and they kicked my ass! What a great feeling! Great job girl!

Haha! Oh my gosh! We are exactly alike! I did the same thing a couple of months back and I weighed 152 when I graduated high school! I am almost there!
 
Hump day.... again.... feels like it was JUST wednesday....

Hello!

Yesterday was triceps, chest, pushups, and cardio day. Day 2 of the new rotation that I am doing with these two dudes I know. So last night I attempted to do bench press with the free bar… or whatever its called… yeah I could do 5 of them… for whatever reason the balancing act of keeping it straight… and trying to touch my chest etc… it was rough. So I benched the bar 5 times… and was done. Not because I was giving up… but I was late anyways so they were ready to move on since their 3 sets were done. Then we did Incline Bench Press, and that was with that runner thing holding the bar straight… and I did really really well with that. I did my 3 sets and it was tough but I did fine. Other things last night were working triceps over at the pullup machcine, 15 lbs behind your back to work triceps, some arm thingy in front to work triceps, pushups… I cant remember what else. Yeah very technical names im using for these exercises LOL.

And my arms were so tired… I did one regular push up and maybe 3 “girl” pushups…… I need to work on my arm strength!!! Haha.

After that the guys left and I did my cardio. My legs are KILLING me from lifting yesterday. :nopity: I stretched real good and then I got on the treadmill and did my two miles. By the end of my 2nd mile my legs were feeling nice and loose…. Felt good.

HOWEVER. This morning I am walking like an idiot again. I am even more sore than yesterday and having a hard time walking down the steps!!! Any ideas on good ways to relieve this soreness? :blush5:

Alrighty and lastly, food intake for yesterday
Breakfast:
Cheerios w/ fresh strawberries and skim milk
Lg dunkin donuts coffee w/ cream and splenda

Lunch:
8oz low fat chicken noodle soup at Paneara (100 Cal)
½ Smoked Turkey Panini (410cal)
Snack 3:00- 2 graham crackers(110 cal) , 10 almonds- no salt
Snack 4:00- 1 cup dry cheerios (100 cal), decaf hot tea w/ splenda

Snack 7:40- 5 pretzels, slice of 98% fat free lunch meat ham

Dinner:
Grilled chicken breast marinated in extra virgin olive oil and crushed red pepper
1.5 cups of steamed Broccoli with little bit of margarine and a slice of 2% American cheese

look at that sexy girl! go go! gotta feel good. Lol I thought you were wearing a green hula skirt from the thumbnails of your pics! anyways, i don't really have to say anything, but because i know you love to hear it.. you rock! keep it up 120 is yours! great jobs on the workouts. used the Olympic bar is a little daunting at first. Once you can balance it well, you should be fine. as far as eliminating some soreness, i would suggest stretching pre and post workout. have fun at work lol.

I eat kind of similar to what you eat...I just have one question, how much water do you drink on average in a day? This is one of my problems, I HATE water!

Another question for you is, do you monitor your heart rate when you are doing cardio? I've read that the "fat burning zone" is about 70% of your heart rate.

Hey girl. I try my very hardest to drink half my weight in ounces. Sooooo for example someone who weighs 150 should drink about 75 ounces of water a day. I hate the water too... ive gotten use to it though. Sometimes if i need to switch things up a bit ill put half of a crystal light packet in my water to add some flavor to it.


Also, i dont really monitor my heart rate. Some people swear by the fat burning zone... some dont. Im not really a fan. I just push myself and make sure when i am done with my half hour or whatever... i feel whopped. walking brisk doesnt wear me out anymore... so i eiether run 2 miles or i get on something like an elliptical and try to boogie on it at an incline of 7 and resistence of 45

I am so happy.... because that is the only reason i did lose some weight... was because of the people on here i saw succeed. I only lost 28 lbs so far.... but it was hard work and someone out there understanding what i go through each day and the butt busting exercises... its really encouraging.

You can do it girl... you totally can. I tried my very best to be totally honest when i effed up on my eating and stuff too... haha... so i was far from totally on track at all times.... but you will totally blow this out of the water if you just be consistent.

good luck and seriously... from the bottom of my heart- thank you so much for your post. It means the world to me!

I definitely have to agree with Alta. Way to go girl!!! I just started out on my weight loss journey and its been one hell of a rough start at that but reading diaries like yours just boosts my motivation and gets me determined to keep at this. You look amazing! You will reach 120 in no time. Keep it up! :)

another pound dropped

alright, well today. Ate decent today... no issues there. Also did a mild lifting day at the gym... no cardio due to being extremely sore from leg day 2 days ago.. so figured id better take it easy. Lots of stretching in store for tonight.

Workout: Biceps, Back, shoulders, abs. worked out for an hour.


Food for the day:
Breakfast-
plain oatmeal w/ fresh blackberries, 1/4 cup skim milk
coffee w/ cream and splenda


Lunch
1 can of french style green beans 2/ garlic powder
1 grilled chicken breast ( left over) marinated in olive oil and crushed red pepper
1 light and fit activa strawberry yogurt

snack 3:30- coffee and 2 graham crackers


snack 7:40- 5 pretzels

Dinner-
1 piece of Tilapia w/ a light peacan parm crust
1 cup of regular greenbeans w/ garlic and little bit of parm sprinkled on top
5 tortilla scoops dipped in hot wing dip :drool5:

May have a whole wheat waffle before bed because im feeling a little hungry yet tonight... but other than that I am done eating for the day!

Just wanted to share that i also weighed myself today and i am clocking in at 124.6 which is another pound lost... this is very very exciting.

I really feel a second wind coming on the last few days and its exciting. I am planning to get up early tomorrow and do a morning gym session.... i really think i need a good morning cardio and circut session to get my moving at work tomorrow.... working out at night has its perks... but i feel like i have more energy and motivation when i get my butt in gear early! Im gonna try... we shall see.


Im excited to see what the next few weeks bring.... oh... and 22 days until VEGAS!!!! :party:
