Here I am! Rock you like a Hurricane (hehe)

So last night I joined the boys at the gym again. We worked back, biceps, and abs. The ab routine was intense… we upped our crunches and ball exercises…. So that was a nice push for us all. Then we did 2 miles on the treadmill… and I was whooped for some reason… its was a moderate workout… nothing too ridiculous though.

Food intake for 7/27
Breakfast:
Egg, cheese, 1 slice Canadian bacon, 1 slice cheese on eng muffin
Lg coffee w/ cream and splenda

Lunch
6 inch ham and turkey w/ provolone on whole wheat w/ lettuce, banana peppers, pickles, oregano, fat free honey mustard, vinegar
250 Cal strawberry banana smoothie made with splenda

Snack 3:30- 2 graham crackers, fruit and yogurt parfait

Snack 4:30- dry cheerios

Dinner
Grilled chicken salad w/ feta, bleucheese, crasins, walnuts and greek vinerette dressing ( small amount)

Dessert- low fat granola bar

Been running around trying to find a formal dress to wear to my conference i am attending in vegas the 15th of the month and i have NOTHING TO WEAR. CANNOT find anything... where can i get a nice dress geeeez.

The workout looked goood!! That's so good you are going with people who push you hit it hard!

I can't give you advice on the dress thing... I only own a couple... I'm sure you will find something! I am so close to Vegas, only 6 hours or so drive! I should try and come down and hook it up with you!

Now her on the other hand...send her to me...I'll have her dressed like a rodeo clown the next time you two go out!!! I'll even do her makeup... :sifone:

Yay... Friday

Yesterday was a really rough day for me all around. Lots and lots of work stress.... i am not even going to go there because i know we all deal with it... just overwhelming right now. Plus its month end, I am not at goal... or even close.... but my partner is.... and its a bit shady because we are suppose to alternate leads... so how is he exceeding my number by about 80K? Things that make you say Hmmmm.:toetap05:

Anyways, yesterday i had a small incident. I went back to the kitchen at 10am to grab a spoon so i could have my morning cheerios. I had a student back there and he started to talk my ear off... so i stood there and talked with him for a bit. I was getting hungry when i went back there so it was def time to eat my breakfast. Anyways, he ended up talking to me for about 30 minutes. So, i got a glass of water and took a big sip and immediately got a really bad pain in the middle of my chest. Then the noise in the room faded... i got really hot and started to feel funny. I excused myself and went in the bathroom and as i walked to the chair i fell into it and the room started spinning. I then got cold and sweaty. I guess i had low blood sugar or something.:svengo: I think it was a combimation of being really ready for my breakfast... and stressed the hell out..... :willy_nilly:
What i dont get is... i use to NEVER eat breakfast... and now i guess i depend on it? I am just glad i didnt pass out in front of people here... they will all just assume i dont eat and thats why i lose weight etc.... reallllly do not wanna deal with that. People always think the worst you know?

Anyways, food intake from the last two days.

Breakfast:
cheerios w/ skim milk, Lg Coffee w/ cream and splenda, ½ coffee w/ cream and splenda
Lunch:
Grilled Chiken salad ( bacon bits, cheese, carrots, ½ pk low fat basalmic vingerette dressing), unsweetened iced tea
Snack 3:30- 2 whole wheat waffles w/ fat free cool whip
Dinner:
Whole wheat pasta w/ tomato sauce and garlic powder

Snack- crasins, walnuts, fat free cool whip, popcorn ( rough snack attack!!!):blush5:

7/30
Breakfast:
Lg coffee w/ cream and splenda, cheerios w/ skim milk
Lunch:
Chicken thigh quarter, Lg Peach, Orange Juice
Snack 3:00- 2 whole wheat waffles w. Fat free cool whip
Dinner:
Left over roast mixed with beef broth, egg noodles, onion, garlic, worsteshire sauce
Snack: fat free cool whip w. Walnut pieces, 10 thin prezel sticks, ½ apple

Yesterday was my off day from the gym, and Wednesday was shoulders, forearms, and cardio. I am feeling pretty good today so i am excited to work out tonight! How is everyone else doing these days?! It really is dead here lately!!
 
Hey girly! That is so crazy you needed breakfast that much! That is good though! I feel on how people can act really weird about stuff... always coming up with their own ideas of people...

Your food looks good and yay for Friday! Any fun plans this weekend??
 
ok i take back the slacker part lol. well for me if i don't weat breakfast and try to workout...guaranteed barfing. glad you're feeling better! one day i will take a weekday off... one day. tomorrow is my day off and i can't wait!

Nice going, M_Marie. Been checking out your before and after picks and read through your diary. Very inspiring! I am into my second week of healthy living (started yoga two weeks ago and started healthy eating last week). Been good so far. I have slipped a couple of times. I wish I would lose my boobs as I progress (they are way to big and they always seem to be the place I start packing first).

Hey Melissa. It was probably what you think it was but can you call your general practitioner and tell them what happened? If not for me, do it for your BF. ;) It was probably nothing serious but certainly worth asking a doctor about. I'm not here to scare you but I do know even elite athletes can go years before they ever discover they have a heart problem or something. Again, I think your guess is probably right on but it never hurts to ask your doctor.
 
Today was my cheat day.... yeah it was certainly a cheat day in every sense of the word... EXCEPT- I did go to the gym like normal. Today i did my two miles straight with no slowing down on the treadmill. I also worked side bends, back exercises, and did my core routine. Today was technically my off day and after a really intense leg day yesterday, i decided to work out today... but take it easy! Tomorrow is chest and triceps so i also did not want to work my arms toooo much. Food today ( not good day)

Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs w/ cheese, 2 slices rasin toast buttered, hashbrowns w/ onion, mushrooms, slice of cheese 2 slices of bacon, 2 cups of coffee

lunch: 1 vanilla ice cream cone from mcdonalds, 4 chicken nuggets
snack- walnuts and crasins
snack- a little bowl of left over beef and noodles

Dinner: 6 hot wings ( whoa nelly were they hot), 3 handfuls of potato chips, a coke zero w/ coconut rum in it.

Been very hungry lately.. more than normal.... had ALOT of junk food cravings. Not sure the reason for this... i havent had those bad food cravings for awhile... any thoughts? I did jump up to weigh 126 the last few days since i started the heavy lifting routine with the guys at the gym... wonder if that is why i am craving more food?

I dont wanna fall into a junk food trap of a lazy trap again. Today i have just felt so mopey and blah... dont feel like looking for healthy foods... easier to order wings and eat some chips. Granted, it is my off day... and cheat day... but something feels weird today.

I almost feel, as strange as this sounds, like i need to ditch the new workout routine with the guys and go back to depending on me and what I WANT to do at the gym. I feel like my cardio is cut short now and i dont get as much from my workout when i am there with two other people who i am rotating machines with and i end up standing there doing nothing half the time.

Thoughts on this?

Well ive missed you all... sorry ive been MIA.

Tonight i had romantic night in the hot tub with the hunnie and that was ALOT of fun... havent done that type of "together time" in awhile so it was nice. Im about ready for bed now though!

I do need to go see my doctor soon anyhow for another small concern i have so i will be sure to mention it to her and see what she thinks. i appreciate your concern though, that is very sweet. :) Ur wife has a good one there!! hehe

When my sugar gets out of whack I have some of those symptoms with exception to the chest pains. I agree the smart thing would be to just get a checkup.

I believe blood sugar fluctuations could also be contributing to your cravings and appetite. Might be worth monitoring for a few weeks.
