Here I am! Rock you like a Hurricane (hehe)

Hey guys whats new!? Today is such a blllllllah day! its icky outside..... rainy and muggy..... no sunshine.... nothing :angelsad2:
Had rough week outside of the healthy stuff....

Boyfriends Jetta blew up on thursday... engine took a crap...... no more running. SO we are in the process of parting that out and figuring out what he will drive now... he has some options.
THEN, last night my car decided to die in the middle of an off ramp... excellent. Sooo there i sat at 5:00 during rush hour traffic... with a bunch of b-holes blowing their horns and yelling at me... car wouldnt start. Thankfully someone pulled off the road and helped push me to the shoulder to wait for my stepdad. He came over... tried to fix it... didnt work... so it was towed to his shop.


Anyways, he doesnt charge me anything but for parts..... so even with that said... cost $200 to fix... but thank god it runs!!!!



SO aside from all that i have been doing well. Eating has been good last 3 days... with exception of my ice cream last night... but i needed it after the rough day and am not beating myself up about it hehe. Yesterday was my off day from the gym too... so i relaxed and did some housework, put chicken and cabbage on the grill, and watched catch me if you can on TV last evening. It was nice to relax after the crazy week.

Getting ready to hit the gym now... ill post how things are going once i get back here.... i dont really anticipate any loss... since i lost a good but early on in the week... but ill let you know!!

Food intake yesterday and today:

6/19
Breakfast
Coffee w/ sugar free creamer & splenda
Special K w/ berries and skim milk


Lunch
wrap w/ grilled chicken, lettuce, cheese, and buffalo sauce. Sub Broccoli in place of the fries

snack 2:00- 100 cal sugar free finger cake

snack 4:00- Nuts

snack 6:30- nutrigrain bar- strawberry


dinner- ( car broke down so it was laaaate. 8:45pm)
1/2 grilled chicken breast, grilled cabbage, and brown/white rice mixture


food 6/20 ( so far today)

Breakfast
coffee with cream and splenda
everything bagel w/ reduced fat cream cheese

snack- some peanuts ( lightly salted), and 4 tootsie rolls
*started to feel light headed at the gym so I needed the sugar

Lunch
white/brown rice mixture, carrots, and left over grilled chicken breast half cut into small pieces. All mixed together and topped with some garlic powder



Gym was nice today. Ran for 2 miles, then biked just under 7. Did the circut and also worked my abs :) felt NIIIIIICE.


I am holding strong at 127!!! :hurray:
 
Good work Mel!! Geez, aren't you having a fab week when it comes to automobiles?!??! NOT!
Food wise and exercise wise you seem to be really working it out though girly!! Keep up the hard work, we all know it will be worth it in the end.

Case of the Munnnnnndays

A bit of a hectic and unsuccessful weekend. Didn’t stay quite on track yesterday like I should have. Went to a baptisim and drank a good bit of yuengling Lager hehe…. Had some chips… had pizza… had ice cream… all that good stuff.:banghead::banghead:

Took Friday and Sunday off from the gym… so its time to HIT IT HARD this week. I have seen myself start to slip into eating crap at night again… not a lot of it… but still… I need to knock that off before it gets bad again! Part of the problem is having ice cream in the freezer… if its there… I feel like I must eat it! Cant do that stuff. So starting today I am back in action… one bad day wont ruin my week…. But gotta be sure to eat well and then get to the gym tonight! I worked too hard to let myself slip away!!!

It was dead in here all weekend!!! Where is everyone at!!!?? Haha. I posted pics from yesterday morning… still seeing some improvements on tone showing in my stomache… arms are slimming down as well… very exciting. I also posted a pic of my sister, brother and I yesterday on fathers day….. (I am in the middle)

no no hun not a zero... by any means. My legs and butt are still a bit out of proportion to my wait and what not..... I am certainly in a 2 and will be staying there for a bit yet..... until i make some progress with this inches losing down there :) Starting to feel confident about wearing shorts. I do not wear shorts AT ALL unless i am playing a sport.... summertime... its a skirt or jeans... no shorts for the last 5-6 years. Im kind of coming out of my shell in that respect. Teeny weeny? girl you crack me up. I certainly am not feeling teeny weeny... but thats a compliment none the less and i thank you for that.

So I will try for at least 193.5 by Friday morning if you try for at least 126.5 by Friday morning. Deal? :D

Went to the gym right after work tonight. I decided that i was going to just do some intense cardio and then call it a night. My plan is to get up early tomorrow and go before work... then i can come home normal time tomorrow and spend time with my hunnie hehe.

I ran two miles today and was doing it at speed of 6.2-7.0

Felt really good to push it like that.... by the time i was done i was def pouring sweat.

Then i came home here and since my boyfriend was out and about i used that oppurtunity to scrub and scour the bathroom... trust me.... it was well needed! let me tell you what... that is a work out in and of itself... my back is killing me from all the bending and scrubbing.


Its pretty late now... but i havent had dinner yet so... pretty soon off the grill will come my dinner... i am almost drooling i am so hungry and can hardly wait! We are having chicken kabobs with pepers, onions, and mushrooms on it.... and then grilled cabbage and grilled brussel sprouts. I am so excited!!!:hurray:

Whole Wheat Pasta w/ Tomato sauce and turkey burger

Snack (3:30pm)

Decent day for food id say! Did not get up this morning for the gym.... didnt sleep as well as planned so i decided to sleep in and now at lunch I am going to go and get my work out on!!!! hehehe. I am looking forward to a mid day work out actually...... should be fun. Ill report back later!

Thought I’d hop on here during lunch time and just give a little shout out! Hehe. I am so busy today running around doing different projects and meetings… its almost exhausting! Yesterday was a very good day food wise and exercise. Went to the gym yesterday at lunch time…. Took an extended lunch so I could get a nice long work out in. I did my two miles on the treadmill, and then went through and did the circuit, which consists of chest press, row machine, bicep curl, etc. I really focused on legs yesterday, and was doing seated leg press, incline leg press, and calf raise machine. I did my ab routine as well… slightly cut back on it after I was flamed in another thread because I mentioned that I personally thought crunches WERE beneficial…. Apparently they are NOT and you should NEVER do them…… so I was a bit discouraged about that…. But life goes on.


Food for 6/24
Breakfast:
Coffee w/ sugar free creamer and splenda
Special k w/ berries and skim milk

Lunch:
6 inch Ham and Turkey sub on whole wheat bread
Lite applesauce ( 50 cal)
5 pretzals ( 110 cal)

Snack: peanut butter choc chip granola bar

Dinner:
Large Salad: grilled portabella mushroom, bleu cheese, walnuts, crasins, apples ( no dressing)
1 water gap wheat beer ( drank ½ of it, let the rest sit)

That is so awesome you get to work out during lunch! I get so ansy being cooped up in an office all day....
 
I think what they were trying to say is all of the other great things you have been doing have probably had more of an effect than the crunches did. But that doesn't mean you can't still do them. There are a ton of really good and creative ab and core exercises. It is fun learning them. I am fortunate because I had 24 sessions of personal training and I got to learn all kinds of core exercises. The best and probably only way to reveal your abs though, is by lowering your body fat percentage, which you have done a fine job of. That is one of the reasons I want to get to 10% body fat, so I can finally see a six pack.

P.S. I don't know why some of my words are being underlined and then defined when you click on them. I've never seen that happen before. Sorry.

how do i find out my % of body fat... like without a doctor? or is that the only way
