Here comes the bride...6 months to go!!

Hi there; great diary - and congrats for being 149.8 .. I wish! You're doing great. I get grumpy when eating healthy and exercising too. lol
I live in Ottawa, Ontario, so hello neighbour :)
I'm going to think about 150 while I run on that treadmill today. Keep going, you're having success!!!

Mine was pretty bad - fun mind you but bad health wise!
Friday started off great - I went on the treadmill before work and did 2 miles and then when I got home instead of having a nap or getting straight to the booze I decided to burn some more calories on the treadmill and did another 4.25 miles for a total of 10km (or 6.25 miles!) and like 750 calories burned! Ok so that would have been great but then I showered and started drinking while getting ready to go bowling. I had a ton of fun bowling and actually won both games even though my score wasn't the greatest (10 pin - 109 the first game and 102 the second game). The drinks were going down really easy - I was having rye w water & lemon. After bowling we went to a bar and continued drinking!! I was on my feet all night and by the time I got home it felt so great to take off my tall boots! In total I would guess I had between 12-15 rye's a couple shots and a beer when we first got there. To make things extra worse my hunnie and I decided to make Kraft dinner when we got home and as soon as the water started boiling he passed out and I ate the whole box by myself!!! I'm sure the food helped in me having a hang over the next day but dang that was a lot of calories!!
Needless to say I didn't make it to Kettle Bell the next morning but woke up feeling not too bad around 11am (considering I went to bed at 4am!) and all I could think about was grease! I decided because of the KD episode I should start the day healthy and had a big veggie salad w tuna. Later that day I did some cleaning and eventually got comfy on the couch. Around 5pm I started to think about bad food for dinner and decided once again I needed to do some exercising (especially because I didnt' go to Kettle Bell!). I got on the treadmill and actually felt like running! I did 5 miles in 60 min with a warm up and cool down. I have been making a huge effort to warm up and then stretch instead of just stretching at the end and find it's really helping and making me feel better during the workout. Ok so I burned a good amount of calories and then showered up. When I was getting out of the shower I smelt something so delicious coming out of the oven - pizza!! Hawaiian pizza - my fav!! My hunnie had run to the corner store where they make the best pizza's! I had three good size pieces and was stuffed!! I ended up going to bed around 11pm and didn't have any snacks after dinner!! I was still over my points for the day but not by much!
Sunday I decided I needed to get to the gym so I went for 9am and took a 1hr cycle class. It kicked my butt! After I had a 20 min sauna and it felt so good! Got home and ate another salad w tuna - ya I started the day off right again! Headed back into town to get some groceries and stopped at Tim Horton's for a vanilla cap and caramel pecan cookie:smash: My hunnie told me he was getting a danish so I wanted something too and after I ordered my cookie he didn't even get a danish! I was mad because I didn't really need the cookie either but felt like I should get it because he was getting something - anyway it kinda made me mad for a second but then I just gave him a good size bite of mine and felt better! At the grocery store he got a chocolate bar and I had a bite. Headed home and just felt like snacking all day - one thing after another - yogurt, pudding, banana, granola bar, triscuts. Dinner we had chicken with left over frozen spaghetti sauce and Smart spaghettini. I decided I needed to burn some more calories since I ate way over my points even before dinner! I did 60 min during Amazing Race but didn't feel like running - I had it on 6 incline and 4.2 mph and burned 607 calories. After that I said I wasn't going to snack anymore but that didn't happen :smash: I had an orange and one point bar and then some triscuts with jam! long story short - good thing I burned more calories!
So overall it wasn't a terrible weekend because I exercised my butt off but equaled it out with eating crap and drinking my face off!! I had a lot of fun though!! I was going to bring my camera to show some pics from Friday but forgot it today so maybe tomorrow!
This morning I woke up and got on the treadmill!! I did 25 min and 2.1 miles but I can't stop thinking about food today! I ate my usual breakfast and then found a granola bar in my desk and now want to eat my lunch but it's only 9am!!! I need to read some journals and get motivated for this week!! I haven't seen 149 again since Friday but I'm very close and really want it so I gotta work hard and get these food thoughts out of my head!!
 
Hi Lisa! Well looks like you've been doing great and keeping strong since I left! You were due for a night out though, so don't feel bad about this weekend! And your workouts were great, so you're right that they probably made up for all the other calories! I saw that you made it to the 140's on your scale... that's awesome!!! You're not counting it though until you see it at WW's? I am so afraid to step on the scale, I'm not sure it will be any time soon. I feel like I should so maybe it will make me work even harder if I gained a lot, but I also feel like I will be really upset and get over obsessive about it if I know what I gained. So for now I'm going to go with how I feel and think I look! It's good to be back and I'm ready to start kickin' some booty to make up for all the working out I missed during my vacation. I gotta catch up to you! :p

Honestly you worked out sooo much and burned so many calories; although you ate a lot you still balanced it out with exercise so that's good. It's a new week, and you can definitely be 149 or even less by Thursday if you stay on track! good luck!!

Lisa I was laughing so hard when I read this because you and I are so much alike! I would of totally done the same thing! I am not at all happy that you didn't do as well as you planned but its so good to have someone that can relate to all of the same ups and downs in weight loss. You workouts were so great this weekend, now that your back on track this week with your eating its time to see 149 at your weigh in this week! Good work getting up this morning to go on your tredmill. I have so many of those days where I cant stop thinking about food and end up counting down the minutes until my next meal :rolleyes:... Keep up the hard work this week, I have no doubts that your going to do it!
 
Sounds like you had a really fun weekend. I think all of us need to take a break and have a fun day or two once in a while. And I'm really impressed that you worked out so hard over the weekend! I don't know why I can never find the time to work out on days when I don't have work and I can find the time during the week. How does that work?

Don't sweat the weekend and get back to the grind today. I want to see you in the 140's on Thursday!

Hey guys thanks for stopping by and giving me your support! I always feel better when someone tells me I'm doing good because sometimes I'm pretty hard on myself - aren't we all!
Ok so back on track and feeling good this week - it's a short week how could I not feel good!!! here's how Monday looked:
Exercise - 25 min treadmill (2.1 miles, 260 cal - 5 min warmup, run at 5.7 mph and cool down)
B - ff yogurt, 1 cup fresh strawberries & all bran buds, curves PB bar
Snack - apple, 2 cups mint green tea
L - regular instant oatmeal w 1 cup mixed frozen berries
Snack - 1 cup mint green tea
Exercise - 1 hr Kettle Bell strength class - it was really intense. We did one rep each arm, two reps, etc all the way up to 10 reps of each arm before we got a rest. We did that with one arm pulls, snatches, one handed cleans & jerks and sumo squats. Then we did a bunch of bear crawls and push-ups in between. Everything on me was drenched when I was finished and my arms are sore today!
D - cucumber & carrot chopped & sprinkled w salt, 4oz sirloin roast w sauce (slow cooked w onions and seasonings).
Dessert - banana w s.f butterscotch pudding cup.
Snack - microwave popcorn w white balsamic vinegar & salt.
So I was over a couple points but I also earned 6 activity points yesterday so all is good! I made it out of bed this morning again to do the treadmill too!
So close again to 149 but I think I had a little too much salt last night so I am going to watch that the next couple days so I can see 149 by Thursday for sure!

Awesome work yesterday! Mmmm your dinner sounds yummy... so does that popcorn! I should try that sometime. I also have to watch my salt this week too is it's that time of the month! I think I should also go take a workout class today... that kettle bell class makes me jealous that you get such a good workout! Maybe I'll go to step!

Hey Sarah,
The dinner was yummy! It was a funny story though because my hunnie dropped me off at the gym and I knew the roast was in the slow cooker but I was wondering what he was going to make to go with it and when I got home I noticed nothing else was cooked and he started loading the roast onto pieces of buttered bread but I had already had a lot of carbs so decided to cut up some carrots and cucumber! I was so proud of myself for eating them raw and not having the meat in a sandwich!
I have a pic from bowling I would like to post because I felt really good that night. Frist time too I'll post a pic of my hunnie!! I'm also attaching a few old pics - not sure of my weight at the time but probably close to 200.
 
Lisa you gorgeous girl! What a masive difference! You look like two totally different people! I hope that you are beyond proud of yourself because the difference is amazing! You and your hunnie are such a good looking couple! I am extreamly proud of your hard work, it has really paid off and you look stunning!

That workout sounded hard core. Your doing such a good job going to your workout classes and getting up to go on the tredmill and eating well...Your really kicking butt this week! You dinner sounded soooo yummy! That popcorn did too :lurk5:, I'm going to try that! You are well on your way to 149, keep it up!

I am going to give you some great advice that I got here a while back: Remember, even though you are counteracting the calories with your wicked awesomeness on the treadmill... you're still putting those toxins in your body. The body has a hard time digesting those toxins and they will sit!!

Keep up the great work... make good choices... the future is yours :)

Thanks Marie and I know you are totally right - I think it's the toxin's that make me feel so bad about myself! It drives me crazy! I don't know how to change it - well I know how I just can't seem to DO IT!

Just wondering, when did you meet your bf/hubby? was it before or during your weight loss?

It was during - I was about 182 and had just lost about 25 pounds so I had more confidence. It got harder to continue once we started dating because we started eating out more and drinking more and just going out more in general so I stayed that weight for some time and then when my sister told me she was getting married I decided to start trying again and got down to 160 for the first time in ever it seemed and that didn't last long and I stayed around 170-180 until I decided last August to start trying again for my wedding and here I am!

Thanks Janvier for the support! I wish I was more proud - I know I should be more proud but I'm not - so stupid. Sometimes I feel like a completely different person (stronger, motivated - ready to tackle the world) and sometimes I feel like the weak, worthless, chubby girl still who makes bad choices.
