Here comes the bride...6 months to go!!

Hey forum friends - what is with Wednesdays and feeling like poo lately - they seem to go hand in hand. I just woke up feeling funky - I'm thinking it could be two reasons - 1 my hunnie's cat is driving me crazy lately and starts crying at 5:10 when I don't have my alarm set till 6am so I have to get up and let him out because my hunnie doesn't hear him and if I don't let him out he claws the paint off the walls so then after that I can't fall back asleep and just lie there until my alarm goes off thinking about how much I hate that damn cat and how I wish I was a heavy sleeper so it didn't bother me. 2 - I had a bad binge last night and was up 1.6 pounds on the scale this morning with weigh-in tomorrow.:toetap05: I know I didn't eat 1.6 pounds worth of food and it's mostly just water weight but still I'm sick of the seeing the 150's every morning! I know I shouldn't worry about the scale and yes I am feeling better about the way I look in the mirror so why don't I feel good - I want to feel good. I give myself compliments to try and lift my spirits but it doesn't work. My hunnie can sense it when I'm feeling this way too so I can't be putting off good vibes - can the people at work tell too? I don't know sometimes it just drives me crazy and I just want to shake myself till I feel better - or go through a drive through and order something delicious!
Anyway enough venting here's how yesterday turned out (no clue how many points after the binge but too many!!)
Exercise - 30 min treadmill (2.5 miles or 4 km, 307 cal burned)
B (7:20am)- 1 hb egg & 1 hb egg white w cayanne seasoning (I read this on someone else's page and it's so good!), WW choc protein shake.
Snack (10am)- ff yogurt & all bran buds
Snack (noon) - 6 cherry tomatos
L - (1pm) - instant reg oatmeal w 1 cup frozen blueberries
Exercise - 7km run outside (walk 5 min stretch, run 40 min = 45 min!)
D - big veggie salad (made before the run so I could eat as soon as I got back) mixed greens, carrot, cherry tomatos, cucumber, chick peas, black olives, red pepper and baby corn w 1 can tuna drained in water (only 120 cal for whole can - 2 points) w balsamic vinegar and olive oil
D #2 - turkey and cheese sandwich - hunnie's bread, reg cheese, mayo, shaved turkey.
Binge - 1 point bar, 2 handfuls hunnie & band's popcorn, hot genoa - lots, chocolate covered caramel granola bar (maybe 2 I can't remember), banana - I think that might be it but it seemed like so much more - I must be missing something.
Anyway started watching BL and was pretty bored with it - ended up falling asleep - or maybe it was a food coma around 9:10 and woke up at 10:15 and went to bed - going to have to research who got kicked off.
Sorry for not being my usual positive self - I promise I'll be back tomorrow because it's the last day of work until the long weekend and nothing could bring me down - even a bad weigh-in!

Great pics Lisa! Awww you and your man are sooo cute and you look so happy :) I'm jealous! I had a binge last night too - I did good allll day and then as soon as my roommate wanted me to hang out with her (she always stays up late) I started pigging out! But I really can't blame anyone but myself! I don't think you should worry about the overnight gain, it can change back just as quickly if you make today a good one! Just try to keep your spirits up, you're so very close to the 140's... like in the 30 Day Shred when Jillian says "We don't get to the finish line and stop, that's when we give it even more than what we started with" (or something along those lines) so hang on Lisa!! Cheer up and brush it off - you haven't been snacking nearly as much as you were before - be proud of yourself!!

Oh man, I think we are having the same morning! I don't want to exercise, I feel like a fat lump, my scale absolutely refuses to be nice to me and I'm now 100% certain I won't make my mini goal. WAH! And, I don't have a cat, but I do have a husband who reset the alarm for earlier, then hit snooze, then hit snooze again, but got up so it woke me up 10 minutes later for no reason at all. At this point, I was too mad to sleep, even though it was 45 minutes until I had to get up.

No advice, but I feel your pain. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

Oh thanks Sarah and your so right - that wasn't as bad as before so I'm just going to call it a little slip and try harder tonight! Thanks for cheering me up!

Ok I'm feeling a little better - sorry for being so down. I got a call from my girlfriend and we are going to go for a 5km run tonight to start our half marathon training. The race isn't until Septemeber 19th but we are going to start out slow. I was reading tips for training and it said you should be buliding a base mileage of 25-30 miles per week and I was curious how many miles I have ran this week Thurs-today and after my 5km tonight I will be at 30 miles exactly!! Thursday 1.5, Friday 6.2, Saturday 5, Sunday 4.2, Monday 2.1, Tuesday 6.8, Wednesday 4.2 (this morning I only did 1 mile before work). I popped that # into the conversion calculator and it equals 48km! I'm pretty excited about that but realized I haven't taken a rest day in a whlie. I know rest is really important so maybe tomorrow will have to be a rest day.
I go see the chiropractor in an hour and my leg has been feeling better but this morning my hip just wasn't feeling 100% so hopefully a little adjustment will do the trick!! And then rest! I don't feel like I need a rest but just know that I need one to avoid injury! I couldn't pass down my friend's offer to run though because I have been trying to get her out all week and this is the first time she can make it!!
Feeling much better now!! Sorry if I didn't write in your journal today but I was just too negative this morning to write anything good - I'll be back tomorrow!!

Amazing how a simple phone call can completely change your day/mood!!

Please stop beating yourself up for a bad day, and NEVER appolozie for it!! We are all human, and have the right to be bitchy!!! I would be damn pissed too if I had to wake up to a cat climbing the walls every morning (although, I would probably kick the cat and go back to sleep ;) ) Have faith. You're on the right path and that's the most important thing... and remember, every little (or huge) bump in the road is a learning oppertunity. A chance to get closer to figuring out who we really want to be. Our bodies are always talking to us... learn to listen :)

You are fabulous... bad day or not :D

Marie

Lisa, I'm glad to hear your day turned around. Your right, it was just a slip so you dust yourself off and keep moving forward. Your run tonight sounds great! It will definitley make you feel better. Tomorrow is a new day and I am sure that you will wake up much happier! Keep working hard and have a good evening!

Thanks Marie! Always great to hear from you! You are right that I am still figuring out who I want to be - I'm loving the learning I am doing along the way! Thanks for the reminders!

I love how every day is a new day! I definitly woke up much happier - thanks Janvier as always!!

149.2!! Super pumped!! Now to stay away from Easter chocolate and all will be good!! Here's how yesterday turned out:
Exercise - 15 min treadmill (1 mile, 145 cal)
B - ff yogurt & all bran buds
Snack - 2 cups mint green tea
L - big veggie salad (same as dinner night before but no tuna) w ff tomato, oregano dressing.
Snack - 1/2 large banana
Exercise - 5km run with friend that turned into mostly walking - her stomach was bothering her so we took it pretty easy (took about 45 min)
D - chicken stirfry - 3 oz boneless, skinless chicken; carrots, onion, red pepper, water chestnuts, brocoli, califlower, baby corn cobs w thai hot sauce, fish sauce, vegetable broth & soy sauce.
Snacks - orange, 4 cherry tomatos, 3 thin slices cheddar cheese
And I was still under 1 point!!
We don't have much planned for the long weekend except my hunnie's family over for dinner Sunday - I've asked them not to bring chocolate but a couple days later his mom called and said she is doing an Easter Egg Hunt at our house :ack2: Why can't they do it before they come?? My hunnie has a four year old niece so I'm assuming the hunt is for her but still why can't they do it at their house in the morning when it's supposed to be done. Oh well I can't argue so I will just try my best to avoid being around them when eating it - I honestly do not have any will power to opened chocolate in my face!! I don't even just want to have one because I will get the taste in my mouth and want more! I'm not good at moderation and I've learned the hard way.
I hope to make it to Kettle Bell on Saturday because the gym is closed Sunday. I also hope to attempt another 10km run. Last time it didn't turn out so good and I threw out my hip flexor so this time I'm going to make sure to do my stretches once I'm warmed up. I'm pretty busy at work today and won't be in tomorrow so if I don't get a chance to swing by your journal and wish you a happy easter - HAPPY EASTER FORUM FRIENDS!! Thanks for all your support this week!! :seeya:

Love the photos too! You are looking so good!!! Love the longer hair on you also. So happy to see a success story and the progress from your hard work. Yay!!

I didnt do so great - thanks for checking Veronique!

OK so I'm back and I've been off track but yesterday I was back on the weight loss wagon - I know it's not healthy to do this and that I need to learn these habits for life but holidays derail me and I'm still pushing to get back on and continue the ride. It wasn't all horrible but I didn't exercise like I'm used to.
Thursday night I did the treadmill for 30 min and just wasn't feeling it to go longer. My hunnie ended up going out and getting some chips and I ate about half the bag :smash:
Friday I woke up early to get to the gym before it closed (due to the holiday) and got a great work out in. I did a 30 min cycle class followed by 30 min core class. After that I still had some energy so I did 20 min on the eliptical and 15 min using the arm machines. Then I sat in the sauna for 30 min before showering. When I got home it was really nice out so I raked a bunch of acorns in my yard for about 45 min. I ate really healthy all day and then we had spaghetti for dinner. Went over to a friends house to play poker and ate the chips and nuts she had put out.
Saturday I woke up to go to Kettle bell but just didn't feel like it and went back to bed :smash: We woke up late and decided to go to a movie in the afternoon. We saw hot time time machine and it was pretty funny. I had Wendy's on the way to the show and some hard candies in the theater. We did some running around afterwards and had a nap when we got home. I woke up around 7pm and couldn't believe I slept so long. My hunnie and I got in a little fight and that took up an hour or two. Then his friends called and asked if we wanted to go to the bar and I was feeling like drinking (especially after the arguing) so we got ready and met up with them. I did way to many tequila shots and had one too many rye and waters and was really sick!! My hunnie decided to drive so he was being responsible and I was a train wreck! I puked everywhere - all over our car, all over myself, all over our bed, all over the washroom - it was awful!! I felt like I was drugged but my hunnie assured me I was just going crazy with the tequila.
Needless to say I didn't exercise Sunday either and really didn't feel like having my hunnie's family over for dinner. I cleaned up all the puke and went back to bed until 3pm and then had to get up and clean the house quickly and shower and make stuffed pasta shells. I wasn't in the best mood but I was excited to eat a big meal. We had turkey, turnips, stuffing, mashed potatoes, stuffed shells, gravy & buns and three kinds of pie for dessert - apple, blueberry and pumpkin. I tried a small piece of each after I had seconds of stuffed shells!! Then his mom gave us our Easter presents and she got me a bunch of pink socks, 2 chocolate bunnies and a bunch of mini eggs. I said thanks but really I was cursing her under my breath. I ended up getting into a lot of that chocolate Sunday night and then giving it to my hunnie to take to work Monday. I decided to take another day off Monday because I needed to rejuvanate myself and get some laundry done and things I should have done over the weekend if I wasn't hung over all day.
It was a good day though - here's how it looked:
B - ff yogurt & all bran buds
Snack - 2 cups mint green tea
L - instant reg oatmeal & 1 cup frozen blueberries
Snack - Orange
Exercise - 10 km run!! I walked for 5 min and ran straight the rest (after my stretch) and it felt so great! I completed it in an hour and 5 min so I was able to run for a full hour straight! My legs were pretty tired after that!!
D - big salad - mixed greens, black olives, tomato, cucumber, orange pepper, green onion, green grapes with balsamic vinegar & olive oil and 1 can tuna drained in water.
Snack - a few left over turnips and potatoes, 7-9 mini eggs that I found while cleaning that our niece missed.:smash:
Overall not too bad but still a dissapointing weekend. I really wanted to prove to myself that I could get through it with just a slip here or there but I really indulged and didn't exercise two days in a row. It was a break and I'm done and over it and back to the grind!
We bought a truck in Winnipeg and have to drive there this weekend to pick it up so I'm guessing I won't get much exercise in again this weekend but the good news is I will be able to go before work and after work again because we won't have to car pool!! I'm really looking forward to getting into a gym routine again! Tonight I might go for another run and do some weights at home. I haven't seen the 140's since Thursday so I have some hard work to do to get back there!! Time to catch up with you all!!!

Holiday derail alot of people so you are not alone! I miss doing tequilla shots but once you start with tequilla can't have any other kind of alcool, I once drank almost a small bottle to myself doing staight shots no lemon no salt...I was soooo terrified the next morning when I woke up I didn't feel pain but didn't want to open my eyes, but I felt normal no idee on how that was even possible lol!!! If you eat clean and workout this week you should be back in the 140's!!!!!
