I think doctors touch people so much during the days that they are desensitized and just go through the motions.

I'm confused as to what you were at the doctor for? If your hip was messed up, why was he up in your breast area? Weird!! Sounds like he did a real thorough exam girl!!

lol, first he told me one of my thigh muscle's was turned off and then pressed down really hard on my chest and told me that turned it back on! It is feeling a little better so maybe he really is a genius.

I'm pretty far from Toronto - about 18 hours. I live in a small town in Northern Ontario - I'd rather not say where. That is cool we are so similar - I'll be following your diary as well to see what's been working for you!
 
Ok so it's Monday :ack2: and I'm feeling the weekend big time today.
Wasn't the best but wasn't the worst either.
Here's how it looked:
Friday - ate alright, went on the treadmill for 30 minutes - just walking with incline as per Doctor's orders.
Saturday - woke up early for another chiropractor appointment. I was all out of place again so he made a bunch more adjustments. Geez I hope I don't have to keep going back every week (have another appointment today). Got the green light to do some running so I headed straight to the gym and ran 1 mile on the treadmill before Kettle Bell class. Kettle Bell was a lot of skipping rope and Kettle bell swings - hardly took a rest the whole hour and almost slipped on my sweat while skipping! We would do 200 skips followed by 25 reps of a Kettle Bell exercise and repeated the whole class. In total I must have skipped 2000 skips! Headed to the mall to find a new outfit to wear out. Ended up shopping for 2 and a half hours - I was so frustrated because I thought once I lost weight it would be easier to find clothes but I just don't like anything they are carrying in the stores these days. It's all skinny jeans, short shorts, tank tops and capris and it's not that warm out yet! I finally found a shirt in Le Chateau that I really liked but couldn't believe it was $70! I paid that price anyway because I was so frustrated and just wanted to be finished shopping. I ate a bagel w cream cheese while at the mall and that was it until dinner. Went home and did some cleaning to prepare for my friends - sweeping, moping, vacuuming, laundry. Took an hour nap around 4:30 pm and woke up to my hunnie and his friends preparing a fish fry. It was really good - home made fries and fresh fish - but all fried and not so healthy!!! Started drinking around this time too - whiskey & water w lemon. Friends arrived and brought some goodies - nachos & cheese and popcorn. Munched a little while chatting and drinking. Headed to the bar around 10:30pm and lasted until 1:30am. Didn't dance too much - it just wasn't my crowd and I wasn't feeling the booze although I probably drank 12 ryes in total and a couple shots. Two friends came back to my house to crash and we made Kraft dinner - whole wheat kind - who are they kidding - it's still horrible for you!!! Passed out around 3am.
Sunday - woke up around 10am just to drink some water - have a couple bites of hunnie's spaghetti and went back to bed. Woke up a couple hours later to have some banana bread a friend left and went back to bed. Hunnie went out and brought me home Wendy's - so bad but sooo good! Slept pretty much all day until 6pm. Decided it was time to do something so I hopped on the treadmill for 40 min - 5 min warm up and then stretch - back on and ran 5 km and then 5 min cool down and stretch - 40 min total.
We had taco's for dinner - so Sunday was a major write off - even with the run!
So today I am feeling crappy to say the least. I shouldn't be tired since I slept all day yesterday but I think I over slept and just feel like garbage now. Back to the grind today. I have to drink a ton of water too because yesterday I didn't and really needed too!! This morning I had a protein smoothie for breakfast and drinking some green tea now. Plan to go grocery shopping tonight and to Kettle Bell strength after work.
Time to see how everyone else made out over the weekend - hopefully better than me!!:seeya:
 
Ok back on track and what a good day yesterday was! here's how it looked:
B - WW choc protein smoothie w water
Snack - 2 cups mint green tea
Exercise - walked to my chiropractor appointment and back - 2km
L - 1 can Campbell's herbed chicken and brown rice soup
Exercise - 1 hr Kettle Bell strength class - lots of swings, squats, burpees, push-ups & snatches. Still using the 26 lb kettle bell - my instructor last night was using a 98 lb kettle bell and doing one arm snatches with it! I couldn't believe it!
D - 2 pieces WW whole wheat bread w 1/2 can tuna drained in water, light mayo, sweet pickles, 1 slice ff cheese - melted in oven, 1/2 can tomato & rice soup.
Dessert - 1 chocolate chip cookie - my hunnie ate 29!! There were 30 in the bag and I only had one!! I was so proud and disgusted with my hunnie :puke:
Snacks - apple, s.f. butterscotch pudding cup

My shoulders are sore today and my hip feels like it might be out of place again although I saw the chiropractor yesterday and he said things are looking good and to increase my activity and to start running again. I woke up this morning and made it to the gym for an hour cycle class - it was intense and a good way to wake up this morning! I almost pushed snooze when the alarm went off at 5:20 am but I imagined the 140's and jumped right up! I hope to do some running tonight but my legs are feeling heavy and I'm not sure I will have it in me. Looking forward to BL tonight!

Yesterday was an ok day. My mood was kinda down and I'm still a little grumpy this morning. I haven't seen 149 yet on the scale so I'm getting nervous for my weigh-in tomorrow. I thought I had it in the bag forsure but now I'm second guessing myself and my actions this weekend. I've had 4 good weigh-ins in a row so maybe this just isn't my week. I took my B6 vitamin this morning to give my system a flush so hopefully that helps. I haven't been able to go to the washroom in the past couple days so maybe that has something to do with it, tmi I guess.
Here's how yesterday looked:
Pre-work out snack - on the run PB curves bar
Exercise - 1 hr cycle class - my legs are killing me from this today! I haven't been to a full hour cycle class since December so I'm really feeling it!!
B - ff yogurt & all bran buds (finally got some good yogurt again!)
Snack - 2 cups mint green tea
L - regular instant oatmeal w 1 cup mixed frozen berries
Snack - apple
D - big chicken salad - 4 oz boneless skinless chicken cut up into bite size pieces, mixed greens, carrot, cucumber, tomato, green pepper, green onion, black olives, mini corn w olive oil and balsamic vinegar
Exercise - 10 min treadmill, 30 min long and lean BOSU dvd - this was all yoga and I really enjoyed it!
Snacks - s.f butterscotch pudding cup, orange, WW choc protein smoothie
I was so happy on the Biggest Loser last night that the black team won!!
I got a horrible sleep last night and think that is contributing to my crabbyness - my hunnie's cat was meowing all night and wanted to go outside and then my hunnie's nose started whistling and I just couldn't fall asleep.
I haven't taken a day off this week and would love to take tonight off but feel I need to do some running - especially if I want to see 149 tomorrow.
 
Great Job lady!! You will get that weigh in ...no worries!! :D!!! You've been working hard and it's gonna pay off!!! I love that kettle ball that they use on Biggest Loser and I think of you doing it always and I'm like..."Damn!! She is good!" :D!

I finally get to start moving everything in this weekend, so hopefully I just WHIP it into shape. The weird thing is that ..these past 2 days, just THINKING about being on my own, has made me wake up one hour earlier....:eek: WEIRD!!!

...I think I might be ready soon to WHIP out the Crazy workouts!!! :cheers2:!! Can't wait!!!! Have a great day!!!....

Omg Lisa, I was totally going through this all weekend lol, and it totally was affecting the scale! I was up like 4 lbs until...everything started working again lol. I think it could be lack of fiber and maybe not enough water, we are supposed to get 25g of fiber a day! Thats a lot to get in in one day.

Your weekend was a little rocky like mine but I'm glad your back to business and your doing great this week! I was happy to hear that you got the okay to start running again, just take it easy, you don't want to repeat your injury. My fingers are crossed for you ro make it to 149, your workouts and meals have been great so you deserve it, but if you don't, don't be too upset because it would probably be bathroom related. Keep up the good work!
 
You are doing great.....I am sure once everything starts working ok you will b e in the 140's!!!!! I can wait to get there lol!

It's like, you're only proud of yourself if the scale allows you too. Remember, stress will cause your body to hang on to the fat... let it go!!! YOU NEED TO READ THAT BOOK!!!! ;)

I agree. You've made some amazing progress, you deserve a pat on the back for that. If you make 149 tomorrow, Yea! If you don't, bummer, you'll make it next week for sure. Your body could be gearing up for a woosh, you never know. And be sure to get a lot of good sleep tonight, you'll feel better tomorrow for sure.

SMabrey - I'm not sure myself but my mom told me to start taking one a week and I find it helps get everything moving in my system. The bottle says it promotes healthy nervous and vascular systems. I know it makes me go to the bathroom more too so that must be good.
Marie - so happy to hear from you - Happy Belated Birthday!! I know, I know. I started thinking about it last night how I worked hard this week and am feeling good so I shouldn't let that get me down. Your always right!

OK so I'm feeling much better today!! Thanks again everyone for stopping by and giving me your support - it means so much! I can't go to my weigh-in until lunch because I'm just about to start some interviews so I'll report back after that. I was going to take my measurements this morning too but then forgot. Here's how yesterday looked:
B - ff yogurt & all bran buds
Snack - 2 cups mint green tea
L - regular instant oatmeal w 1 cup mixed frozen berries
Snack - banana
Exercise - 45 min treadmill (3.5 miles, 460 cal - intervals of 4 mph & incline 5, 5.8 mph & incline 0) Now that I have run outside a couple times I don't like running on the treadmill as much - hope the weather warms up again so I can go outside again.
10 min arm weights w 10lb dumbbell - biceps, triceps, shoulder press, dead lifts
D - 2/5 thin crust McCain multigrain chicken & red pepper pizza (yummy but not filling for 8 points!) Just didn't feel like cooking.
D #2 - big veggie salad w mixed greens, carrot, tomato, cucumber, green pepper, green onion, black olives, chick peas, balsamic vinegar & a little olive oil.
(in a seperate bowl I mixed 1 can tuna, 2 dill pickles, 4 hard boiled egg whites, sweet onion & hot sauce and used my Smart chopper to chop it all up together and mixed that with my salad - I made three salads all together) It was so good and I can't wait to eat the one I packed for my lunch today!
Snack - 1 point WW PB bar
I was over my points by one which wasn't too bad. Tonight we are making taco's!! I'm pretty excited because I haven't had taco's in sooo long! I'm not sure which is more healthy the hard or soft so I'm going to have to check out the points value from the box. I might just tear up a hard taco shell and mix that with the fixings in a salad.
There is a Kettle Bell class at 7:30 pm tonight that I don't normally go to because of Survivor but because it was on last night instead of tonight I might decide to go - I guess we'll see how I feel after the taco's! 3 Kettle Bell classes in one week would be soo good though!

Thanks Mizzie, I'm feeling a little bit better about it because I was 149.8 on my scale at home this morning! I didn't check yesterday because I didn't want it to discourage me from going to my weigh-in. Next week I will get the news I want to hear - just have to be consistent and patient.
Took my measurements again this morning and things are looking better:
Feb 11/Today (March 26)
Chest - 36 / 35 (down 1)
Waist (smallest) - 30.5/ 28.5 (down 2)
Waist (bbutton)- 35 / 33 (down 2)
Hips - 39 / 38 (down 1)
Thigh - 23 / 22 (down 1)
Calf -14.5/ 14.5 (no change)
Arm -12.5/ 11.5 (down 1)

Yesterday was a little heavy with food but I was doing some emotional eating!
Exercise - 20 min treadmill (light jog - 1.5 miles)
B - WW choc protein smoothie
Snack - just after my weigh-in 3 pieces of chocolate:smash:
L - big veggie salad w mixed greens, carrot, tomato, cucumber, green pepper, green onion, black olives, chick peas w ff tomato oregano dressing.
(in a seperate bowl I mixed 1 can tuna, 2 dill pickles, 4 hard boiled egg whites, sweet onion & hot sauce and used my Slap chopper to chop it all up together and mixed that with my salad):drool5:
D - taco salad - half a head of lettuce, 1 tomato, sm handful grated cheese, green onion, 1 taco shell, salsa, 1/2 lean ground beef - my hunnie finished 5 hard tacos and 1 soft! I thought the salad would be the better choice and still really yum!
Exercise - was on my way to the gym for Kettle Bell (hunnie was going to drop my off) and I started to feel sick with cramps. We turned around and I went home. After a washroom break and some water I felt better.
30 min total body workout BOSU dvd, some arm weights.
Snacks - ff yogurt & all bran buds, banana w s.f. butterscotch pudding

I'm not too excited going into the weekend. My hunnie wants to drink both nights and made plans to go bowling tonight. I don't normally like going out on Friday's because I'm always so tired after work and look forward to Kettle Bell early Saturday morning. If I don't drink I won't have any fun and won't be able to stay awake but if I drink I won't go to Kettle Bell tomorrow. My hunnie was disappointed this morning that I wasn't more excited about bowling and told me to get excited after he dropped my off at work but I just wish we could do it Saturday night. Apparently some of his friends can't make it Sat. or they picked tonight. I'm going to have to have a nap after work or get my drinking shoes on - either way I'm glad I woke up this morning and did 25 min on the treadmill because I'm going to need those extra calories for later!
