Thanks luzafuzz! Thanks for stopping by too! The wedding is just less than 4 months away now!

Ok so I'm going to make this quick - weekend was ok. Winnipeg was super fun and the drive was long and tiring. I ended up getting a scratchy throat Saturday morning as we were heading out and now today I'm all stuffy, sore throat and sinus's are congested. I'm just getting caught up on work and then heading home to bed.
Friday ended really well - ended up going to the gym at 8pm to do a 45 min workout.
Saturday - woke up at 5am to do 20 min of the treadmill before we left for Winnipeg at 6:30am. I shopped a lot in Winnipeg and had to walk fast around the mall so I could fit it all in. I forgot how amazing the le chateau outlet store is there! I could have spent all day just there but only got an hour and a half and only got through like 2 rows out of 6! I noticed that I still always go for the largest sizes and the longest shirts and this might not necessarily be my style anymore. I had to try so many sizes on because I don't know what I am these days. Most stores I'm a size 9 or 10 in pants and M or L in shirts. I still always go for the XL shirts - habit I guess. I loved it how I could try something on in every store because that never used to be the case. Saturday night we went for dinner at Olive Garden and my hunnie ordered some cheese fondue thing as an app and it was heavenly but must have been sooo bad! We split a bottle of wine and both ordered pasta dishes. We continued drinking a little back at the hotel and went to the hot tub to relax a little - I was exhausted but my hunnie was hyper about his truck and wanted to keep drinking. I convinced him to go back to the room and passed out while he watched hockey.
Sunday - woke up at 6am to head back home. Woke up feeling pretty crappy with a cold and every stop we made I got some unhealthy to snack on. It was a bad day. Didn't exercise and continued to eat bad when we got home. Something about being sick and eating bad go hand in hand for me - so dumb.
Anyway I'm going home to get some more rest and then hopefully get to exercise tonight. I'm going to be good today because yesterday was awful - pizza, ice cream, butter tarts, chicken nuggets, vanilla caps, donuts - :ack2: getting sick just thinking about it.
Till tomorrow forum friends.

Hey Lisa - sorry to hear you're not feeling well! Just get some rest, that's the best thing you can do! I really hope that you will come back tomorrow will some good news or a more positive attitude, your post seemed like you're a little down in the dumps :( I'll chat with you tomorrow!

Hey Lisa! I am sorry to hear you are not feeling well, but rest is really the only thing that will make you better! I completely understand the bad eating and being sick ....when I am sick all I want is junk, I am guessing it's comfort we are looking for.......who has will power when they are sick right? Get the rest you need and will se you tommorow!

Hope you feel better soon! I sooo understand about eating heaps when you feel sick... I do the same thing even if I'm just feeling tired. I doubt you've done too much damage, just keep trucking :)

As for the bad day - take it as it is, a single day. Its a new week to get right back on track!

Have a great week!

Hello hello hello.....sooooo much has happened since I was a regular here. WOW and CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss!! What you have done is amazing and very inspiring. You have proved that you need to take healthy living as a part of your life (for the long haul) and stick to your plan. You have done this because you are a hard worker have amazing positive attitude (loooved reading this new diary) You look fantastic, CG. It has definitely motivated me.

I am back now. I feel like such a loser to have fallen off the wagon. But I also have a new diary and a new plan. More later.

Thanks everyone for the warm wishes! It's so great to come back and see all the wonderful support!
So I was off work yesterday sick and am feeling 75% better today. I haven't taken so many days off in a long time and think my body needed it. I slept over 24 hours in the last 48 hours and the time I wasn't sleeping I was eating pretty crappy. But today is a new day and I finally feel able to do some exercise so I have my gym bag packed for after work and I can't wait to get there and sweat it out! I have meetings all day tomorrow so I can't weigh in and to be honest I'm kinda glad because I don't feel like stepping on a scale. My hunnie is so supportive when I'm sick - bringing me kleenex and advil and one night I said I would love a reece peanut butter cups and he went to the store and bought me two chocolate bars! I wasn't really being serious when I said it and didn't think he would actually go out and get them but I felt bad so I ate one and saved the other for the next night. He was trying to make me feel better so I got to love him for that!
I tried getting on the treadmill last night during the BL but 5 min in my head was pounding and I was reaching for a kleenex so I got off and finished watching the show from the couch.
OK but today is fresh and I'm feeling much better so I'm putting the past couple days behind me and beginning today strong! Can't wait to spend some time catching up with everyone. Chat soon!!

Don't worry about falling off the wagon a bit when you are sick. Your body needs the rest and actually needs the extra calories to fight the germs. And you can't do too much damage in a couple of days anyway, so long as you get right back to it as soon as you are well again.

Sorry to hear you got so sick, but I'm glad that you are on the mend!

Happy to see you're back :) I haven't posted because there's not much to update on right now and I usually only come in to update when you're around as well :) Have a great day Lisa!

Hi Lisa,

I'm sorry to hear that you were sick but happy to see that you are feeling much better! It sounded like your body really needed that rest so I'm glad you listened to it last night when you wern't feeling well on the tredmill. Your hunnie sounds like such a sweetheart! Its so nice that you have someone to take care of you! Don't worry about the snacks you had, you will kick them to the curb with your workout tonight. I admire your dedication, I need some of it to rub off on me! Have a good day, It was good to hear from you!

Glad to have you back!!! I'll stop by and visit your diary as soon as your done dusting it off, lol. It does feel like time has just been flying since Halloween! Yikes!

Ok so I am back to 100% today - actually I am feeling above 100%!! My meeting was cancelled so I went to face the music and weigh in and I was down 0.2 pounds - not a great success but better than a gain and since I didn't work out much this past week and ate pretty crappy I am very happy with this. I am also motivated more than ever to get these last pounds off! It all stemmed from yesterday here's how that went:
B - ff yogurt & all bran buds (starting to get sick of this and need to switch it up)
Snack - 2 cups mint green tea, apple
L - instant regular oatmeal w 1 cup frozen strawberries
Exercise - 45 min treadmill 4.4 miles (went as high as 6.6 mph and it felt great! - started couching and couldn't stop otherwise I was hoping to do 10km)
Ok so here's where things turned
Went home and as I pulled into the driveway I could see my hunnie looking at his new truck and looking like he was going to cry. I get out and he says look at my bumper - he drove into someone (because he follows to close and they braked fast) and his bumper was all bent! I couldn't believe it - we just bought the truck like 4 days ago and it wasn't cheap!- I wanted to go inside and eat the butter tarts we had in the freezer and go to bed and cry. Instead I decided that will not help me. I made a salad for dinner put it in the fridge and snacked on a banana. My hunnie was getting ready to go play hockey and I knew if I was home alone all night I would get into the butter tarts so I decided to go back to the gym!!!
Snack - banana
Exercise - 22 min treadmill (2 miles - finished my 10km's!) 25 min arm weights, stretch & push-ups.
D - salad w salsa & light ranch.
Showered and went to bed!!! Mind you I had a hard time falling asleep but I was so excited I didn't emotionally eat and felt so much better getting out of the house and getting some strength training in! I also decided I really want to lose this weight and not 0.2 pounds at a time so I am officially stepping it up!! And that means carrying the momentum through the weekend. I even got my hunnie to bring the left over tarts to work with him today so they don't haunt me anymore!
I feel really serious and ready about this new mission and dropping these last 12 pounds! I'm so excited to go to the gym after work and I even got up and did a workout this morning! It was funny because after I got out of the shower my hunnie was eating egg rolls and I asked for a bite and he was like "do you really want it" and I thought about it and was like no I don't. I'm not hungry and that bite will not help me reach my goal! I told him he might have to keep reminding me for a little while about my new focus but I'm really serious about it - he asked how I was going to get through the weekend and I told him I might allow myself ONE higher calorie meal throughout the weekend but no more binging and eating everything bad in sight!!! I really want to look my best at my wedding and that means trying my best! The last couple weeks I haven't been trying nearly as much and that's about to change!! Happy Thursday everyone!!

So glad you're feeling better and have some mojo back!!! Great job on getting the butter tarts out of the house. Don't worry about the truck... that's what insurance is for :p and the first dent is always the hardest. They get pretty dinged up pretty fast so It's good to get that first one out of the way quick. Keep working on your food choices. I'm on day 5 of my spring herbal cleanse and feeling pretty good. We've completely cut out dairy, sugar, breads, flour, pasta etc. It's been hard (yesterday I was craving chocolate so bad), but by the end of 12 days I'm hoping to have retrained my brain/body and all cravings should be gone. I'll let you know ;)

Keep up the good work, stay on track and focused!!
Marie

:hurray: It's great that you are feeling better and good job on going to work out instead of eating the butter tarts!! That means that you are able to avoid using food for stress releife and that is amazing!!!! You seem to really be focused on your goal and that is great, you will look amazing on your wedding day!
