Uneventful Wednesday

Yay Rimay, you are back!! I am going to check out your diary in a minute!!

Today was just one of those un-eventful days, and I did not mind. I am bloated again, it is getting old. I hope it goes away soon.
NIght exercise have to wait as hubby is working outside. Planning to run tonight 3 mile or so and that is for work-out.
I had a moment today when I just had it with this figuring my calories constantly and trying to put together menus for the next day..etc and work-out twice a day...it takes so much time and effort. Then I looked at my ticker and realized I came a long way and I have to get these last few lbs off. So I am back to the right mind-set again. But I have days like this. Especially when I don't see a constant loss from day to day.

Breakfast: 3 Morningstar Farms veggie links (120), 2 wasa breads (60), 1 weight control cereal (160), 1 coffee (50) = 390

Snack: 1 apple (100), 1 graham cracker (45) = 145

Lunch: Lean Cuisine pasta bowl (240), 2 c. broccoli (50), 1 ff yogurt (60) =350

Snack: ½ c. cottage cheese (80), 1 tbs walnuts (50), = 130

Dinner: 1 c. egg beaters (120), 1 baby zucchini + strips of peppers (15), 2 ww bread (80), 2 tbs jelly (20), 1 c. ff milk (90) = 340

Dessert: 1 frozen fruit bar (25) = 25

Total calories for the day : 1365

Exercise.:. morning : 40 min. walk on treadmill at 3.9 mi/hr, (275 cal), evening: 3 miles running, 350 cal = 625 cal total

Calorie Deficit: 1013

Hey girl, I can't wait to see you at your goal. You know how proud of you I am. You have com a long way and It takes hard work and determination to keep with this weight loss journey and you have done a great job with it. You have also helped me so much with encouraging me to continue even when I have felt like giving up some of the time. During the most stressful time I have had during this journey you have been there and said things that i will never forget and thanks for being there for me. I could not do this without the support of you and the rest of the wonderful people who have supported me in this.

Thanks for your kind words. I am back to super motivated again today. Already figured out my menu for tomorrow, did my morning exercise and ready for the gym this afternoon. I am going to lose these last few lbs!!!
My size 8 is getting baggy on me, I think it is time to attempt again with the size 6 tonight. We'll see.
Hubby is going on a guy's night out tomorrow, i can't wait. I will have peace and quiet, I will be reading my book after night exercise and just chill out.
I thought back yesterday that I started the weight loss struggle back in July 2005. It has been two years now.. I was not always as motivated as I am here at the end so the lbs are coming off faster now, but boy surely feels I have been at this for a loooong time. But I know I have to concentrate on the end being closer now then the start... LOL.
I have been super motivated so far in the Halloween challenge, there are only 3 weeks left of that, can't believe how it flew by!! Then I have to find another challenge to keep me in track.:)
Scale showed 151.4 this morning, which is pretty much where i was last Sat. Two more days though, so anything can happen!!
 
Thursday

Going to bed early tonight. Had boot-camp and I enjoyed it very much. Did not burn as much calories as expected as the music was kind of slow and did slow us down.

Breakfast: 1 homemade blueberry muffin (160), 1 c. ff milk (90), 1 ff vanilla yogurt (60) 1 coffee (50) = 360

Snack: 100 cal pack graham crackers (100), 1 diet hot chocolate (25) = 125

Lunch: 1 healthy choice country vegetable soup (160), 2 wasa bread (60), 2 c. lettuce (15), ½ c. ff cottage cheese (80) = 315

Snack: 1 apple (100), 1 jello (10) = 110

Dinner: 1 Quorn veggie chicken patty (150), 2 ww bread (80), 2 c. lettuce (15), 1 c. ff milk (90) = 335

Dessert: 100 cal ice cream sandwich (100)

Total calories for the day : 1345

Exercise: morning : 30 min walk on treadmill, (200 cal burn), evening: 30 min elliptical, 25 min boot-camp (500 cal) = 700 cal

Calorie Deficit: 1108
 
Friday!!

Ok, so the scale today showed 151.0. Which is like a 0.6 lb loss from last Sat and I am ok with that given the huge loss last week. It could still go a little bit down by tomorrow.
I did try on my size 6. Improvement: yes I can zip it and button it but boy oh boy, don't try to sit down in it!! LOL. so the verdict is : no, I am not ready for a size 6 for about another 3-4 lbs at least.
Did my morning exercise today and I was not so tired as I am usually on Fridays. I went to bed early like 9 last night and that helped a great deal.
 
Great attitude with the loss/expected loss.
Great idea too to use the size as a goal, instead of a scale reading.

Question for ya . . . how soon into your journey did you start working out 2 times a day? I'm now in a morning routine for exercise, but not sure when/if I can find the time in the evenings if I were to add a 2nd session.

So today was ok, glad it is the weekend. Got home to realize I forgot to buy milk and salad and it was on my menu for dinner so I had to make do with something else. I think I overdid a little on peanut butter, but still stayed within my planned calories.
I will update my evening exercise later.

Breakfast: 1 c. ff milk (90), 1 ½ c. cereal (180), 1 tbs walnuts (50) 1 coffee (50) = 370

Snack: 1 pear (100), 1 diet hot chocolate (25)= 125

Lunch: Lean Cuisine pasta bowl (240), 2 c. steamed mixed vegetables (120), ½ c. frozen blueberries (35) = 395

Snack: 1 rice cake (50), 1 tbs p. butter (90) = 140

Dinner: 3 ww bread (120), 2 tbs p.butter (180) , 3 tbs jelly (30) = 330

Dessert: 1 jello pudding (60) = 60

Total calories for the day : 1420

Exercise.:. morning : 35 min walk on treadmill (235 cal burn), evening: 30 min turbo jam, 2 miles running (460 cal) = 695 cal burn.

I am in the 140's!!!

Barely, but I am there!! Can't believe it!! I should just throw the scale away!! I was 151 on Friday, so I lost 1.2 lbs overnight!! WEIRD.
Anyway I am 149.8 and I am so happy!!!!!!
I am under 150!!! I am so close to my goal weight!!!! I exceeded my goal for the Halloween challenge.!!
Now this is going to give me the extra boost to get this final 5 lbs off!!
5 lbs from my goal!! Whooo!!
 
Saturday

I am extremely motivated today!!! The number on the scale today gave me an extra boost for sure.
It was supposed to be my rest day, but I got so antsy I just wanted to do something.. so I went and ran for 45 minutes.
Kept on track with food no problem.
Tomorrow we are going to a flea-market (once again) very early in the morning, lots of walking will be involved, but still I will exercise.

Breakfast: 3 Veggie Breakfast Links (120), 2 wasa bread (60), 1 weight control hot cereal (160), 1 coffee (50), 1 tbs jelly (10) = 400

Snack: 100 popcorn (100), 1 diet hot chocolate (25) = 125

Lunch: 1 c. lentil soup (130) , 2 ww bread (80), 1 slice swiss cheese (80), 2 c. mixed salad (15) 1 apple (100) = 405

Snack: 1 c. ff milk (80), ½ c. frozen blueberries (35) = 115

Dinner: 1 veggie burger (90), 2 ww bread (80), 2 c. lettuce (15), 1 c. ff milk (80)= 265

Dessert: 1 jello pudding (60) = 60

Total calories for the day : 1370

Exercise: 45 min running (3.25 mi) = 400 cal burn

I have not done my exercise yet, I will update that later. I am planning to burn 600 cal with running and 45 min turbo jam.
We went to the flea market and I walked around but it was not a fast walk, so I can't count that as exercise. Came home with all kinds of things that I am sure I did not need.:)

Breakfast: 2 slices vegetarian bacon (60), 1 c. ff milk (80), 2 waffles (160) 1 tbs walnuts (50)= 350

Snack: 1 kellogs snack bar (90), 1 apple (100) = 190

Lunch: 1 c. lentil soup (130) , salad, made of kale, radish, peppers, tomatoes (100) , 1 ½ melba toast (30), ½ serving wheat thins (65) = 325

Snack: 100 cal graham crackers (100), 1 jello pudding (60) = 160

Dinner: ¾ c. egg beaters (90), 2 c. kale (60) 2 wasa bread (60), 1 c ff milk (80), 2 tsp honey (60), 2 tbs jelly (20) = 370

Dessert: none

Total calories for the day : 1395

Exercise:22 min turbo jam (210 cal burn), 28 min running (2 mi, 250 cal burn), 27 min boot-camp(250) = 710

Gratz Hajni- out of the 150's and into the 140's! Hopefully I'll be in the 160's by the end of the challenge.

Woohoo Hajni, Look at you go girl. You passed up your original Halloween goal and I'm sure by the end of this challenge if things keep up the way they are going you will hit your 145 goal by halloween. Keep it up your a great source of motivation for a lot of us here, especially me as you have been there to talk to me when i felt like giving up and i couldn't thank you enough for it. see you soon as tomorrow we leave at 6:30am to go see hubby for 4 days. but i'm going to stay on track as far as food and plan on doing tons of walking as we are going to the zoo and aquarium up there with alex and not sure what else we are going to do.

Dh's three friends stopped by on Sat. and couldn't believe how much weight I have lost!! They have not seen me for months!! Surely it was a great feeling even that I am not doing this to impress others but for my own health and family.
I was just thinking this morning while running how many changes i have made to my life since really concentrating on the weight loss. And how many of those changes will stay with me even after I reached my goal.
Exercising became second to my nature, I probably won't do as much but I still will exercise.
My food choices : still eat 5-6 times a day instead of 2 huge meals. Drink a lot of water, no soda or high sugar fruit juices. I discovered : milk (I never drank milk before), cottage cheese ( I enjoy very much now), wasa bread, reduced calorie whole wheat bread, kale, fruit shakes (thanks Heather), low calorie ice-cream, stevia (sugar substitute), and I could go on my list....
Now these foods are regular at my house and my family enjoys them as well.

I power walked this morning for 40 min, 2.25 miles. Tonight there is no boot-camp but I can make my own at home. We might have a "make-up boot-camp" class tomorrow.
I got all kinds of stuff at the flea-market, mostly cheap items. I got two sweaters for myself, a pj, gloves, soaps, shampoos and body wash for DD, a DVD, a CD, all kinds of small items costing a 1.00 or less.
Oh, and we went to a farmer's market after and I got the most sweatest tasting Europian style red-green peppers!!. So fresh and tasty, Yumm. Also got a bunch of kale, radish, acorns, butter -squash, ..etc. Hubby and I decided to buy our vegetables at farmers' markets from now on. We did it once in a while in the past but now we are going to concentrate on it a little more since we eat a lot of vegetables.


I am looking forward to this week and I have the challenge down. I always eat more than 2-3 servings of veggies, fruit/day!!

Monday

Very stressfull today at work. To the point that I had to make myself eat my lunch as I was not hungry.
Came home and went right to exercise to release some of the tension. I did more than I planned on but now I feel so much better and ready for a shower.
still have to put my food together for tomorrow, right now I am cooking acorn with apples.. Yummy.

Snack: 1 ff vanilla yogurt (60), 1 ½ graham crackers (65) = 125

Dinner: 2 tortilla wrap (100) , 1 Quorn chicken (80), ½ medium apple (50), 1 c ff milk (80) = 310

Dessert: 1 jello (10) = 10

Total calories for the day : 1345

Exercise.:. morning : walking on incline 40 min (250 cal burn ), evening: 26 min boot-camp (225 cal), 2.25 mi running (275 cal burn) = 750

Calorie Deficit: 1149
 
Just heard from the gym, there is no boot-camp tonight, not enough members confirmed. Now I am very sad but it won't stop me!!:jump:
I am planning to go anyway and do like 35-40 min on the elliptical and maybe once the circle. I was planning on burning like 500 calories tonight will see if I can reach that goal.
Of course weight wise i am up as usual :) But I know by the time Sat. hits I will be losing again.. Yeah! Nothing can stop me now!!
My knee was hurting the other day after turbo jam i think I did some movements the wrong way, it seems to be getting better now.

What are in the tortilla wraps??I always make tortilla wraps with chicken and fat free cheese and fat free sour cream and shredded lettuce for (280 cals)yummy.Your menue I swear always looks good and vareity so I see why you never get bored with your foods.Have agr8 day tammy
 
Tuesday

Last night when I tried to post my day, WLF was down so I am posting it now.
I did go to the gym and stuck to my plan: burned 500 calories. I swear I am the only one in the gym who works up a sweat!! And I always have the girls noticing it too I get comments like : "you sure work hard", "gee you are sweating so much". Well, I feel like that is the whole purpose of going there right? I feel I am not working hard enough if I am not sweating. The comments are not mean or anything just almost like I am out of the ordinary with my sweating.. LOL
So anyway great Tuesday. Kept on track once again.
Breakfast: 2 ww bread (80), 1 tbs p.butter (100), 1 tbs wheat germ (25), 1 tbs honey (64), 1 c. ff milk (80), 1 c. coffee (50) =399

Snack:
100 cal pack graham crackers (100), 1 diet hot chocolate (25) =125

Lunch: 1 apple stuffed baked acorn squash (200), 2 c. lettuce, peppers, radish (50), 1 jello pudding (60) = 310

Snack:
1 ff vanilla yogurt (60), 1 rice cake (50) = 110

Dinner: 2 c. minestrone soup (240), ½ c. cottage cheese (80), 3 melba toast (60), ½ c. frozen blueberries (35) = 415

Dessert: none

Total calories for the day : 1360

Exercise.:. morning : Fast walk, 40 min (2.25mi) = 250 cal burn, evening: 48 min. elliptical on weigh loss setting level 5 (400 cal burn), circuit training (100 cal burn) = 750 cal burn total.

Calorie Deficit: 1134
 
A birthday party... once again

So tonight is another birthday party we need to attend. My FIL and BIL (born on the same day) birthday is tonight. So we had 3 different cakes for DH's birthday, are we going to have 6 this time?:eek:
Anyway, since I had great control over the last couple of events by not over-eating, I am not worried about tonight. I am bringing over my dinner (they are ordering pizza) and my slim-a bear ice cream sandwich. It worked great last time.
I am down from Saturday which makes me very happy and out of the ordinary. I usually keep my Sat. weight or even show a gain all the way till Thurs. and then drop in a matter of two days. So i have high hopes for this Sat. :jump:
