Hajni's Diary: I will do it because I can

Pictures

Ok, so I worked up the courage and took some pictures again. I am not as brave to post in the before and after yet, maybe after I am all done.
So the first one is the picture taken from today, at 148.
The second is my journey. The highest after my daughter was born, about 205 on that picture. Then halfway about 166 on the second and the third is from today.
I really like what I see regardless what the scale says.
It is an awesome motivation to put it together like this, I really did come a long way!!!

HI Tammy!!
Thanks for the kind words. I am 5'4" just like you!!! So you are going to look just like it (or even better :) ) when you get here!!! Keep on going girl.

Oh wow!!!! You look so beautiful/hot/fit!!!:D

Congratulations, what a long way you've come! You're a total inspiration!!!

Look, in regards to your last post, 1600 calories, even on a rest day, is a deficit. According to your height and weight and "moderate" exercise, your caloric deficits look to be a little over 2100.....even if you were "sedentary" it would be 1770 or something, and exercise makes your metabolism (if everything is working properly) higher than a sedentary person, even on rest days. So there! :) Anyway, looking great, keep it up! Oooh I have to dig up the Runner's Club thread today.....

Another fantastic day. Sunday

Thanks Valerie, yeah we kind of let the running thread die there LOL.

I am glad my pictures were motivating and inspiring. You can all do it, if you focus your mind!! I am glad I did it, and although I had a nagging feeling I would never get here, I never gave up. So that is the other secret: never give up, just keep going!!!!

Very busy today, but good busy. Got up early, made breakfast for the family, did laundry, exercised 45 minutes, went for a walk with DH for about 2 hrs, came home and cooked 5 different dishes for the week, then I exercised an another 53 minutes, had dinner and now ready for a shower and bath for DD.
Food was good and I had soo much energy today!! Maybe because of the rest day or maybe I just recuperated from my work-week, who knows. I was only going to run a mile and do my turbo jam but my mind started wondering and then I started enjoying my music and all of a sudden I ran 33 min. straight!!!
This is probably a big no-no but DH and I agreed that once I reach 145 he will take me out to my forever favorite indian restaurant and I can eat whatever I want , no calorie counting. :rotflmao: Of course next day I will be back to maintainance, but I really really deserve this.!! I usually don't reward myself with food, but thought once a I reach my goal.... what do you think?
Breakfast: 1 c. egg whites (66), 1 c. Kale (35), ½ red pepper (25), 1 c. strawberries (50) , 2 ww bread toasted (80), 2 tbs sgf jelly (20) 1 coffee (50) = 326

Snack: ½ c. cottage cheese (80),
Dinner: 5.6 oz tofu (80), 1 pita bread (130), 2 tbs hummus (35), lettuce, tomato (15), 1 frozen fruit (25) =285
Dessert: 1 ww New York Syle cheese cake (150) = 150

Total calories for the day : 1351

Thanks Valerie, Yarmiah and Tammy !! You all rock and help me stay on this path.
I have good news. At the begining of my diary i said we are planning to have a baby next year. Well, I was planning to have a baby, hubby was pretty much against it. he was against having one to begin with and and now DD and him are inseparable. :hug2: When we first met he did not want to have kids at all. he has his reasons and to a certain point i agree, then nature takes over and my motherly insticts.. and i change my mind and I want to have at least two kids. After our DD was born, he was the proudest dad (still is) and loves being a dad and he is so wonderful at it, I couldn't even dream a better father. BUT he thought one child was enough. So I have been quietly nudging him and talk about it and all and all I ever got is a "maybe". Yesterday the subject came up again and I asked if we are going to try for a baby next year. AND GUESS WHAT THE ANSWER WAS : "probably" . YAY. Another battle won. LOL I am so happy. Since it is very important to me to be on a same page with major decisions in our lives.
Ok, that's enough of me.
today is Monday I am already at work.
Everybody have a good day.

Hi Hajni,

I know my dh wasn't too keen on a 2nd child - there are 4.5 yrs in between my boys. Eventually he said yes - of course it didn't take too long after that yes to get the ball rolling. :rotflmao: Oh and he didn't want one to begin with either - divine intervention I tell ya. :p

By the time our 2nd son came around he wouldn't trade him in for anything. The best thing is is that my two boys are as different as night and day. And for that I'm blessed and thankful of course! I don't know if I could handle two of my oldest ds. ;)

Hello Beautiful!!!!!
Oh my gosh! Girl you have just given me the motivation to really really stick to this!!!
You are one smoking hot mamacita!
I think that you could definantely post those in the before and after. I can't wait until I look that good.
WAY TO GO!!!!!

I think that it is perfectly OK.
I mean you know that it is only a celebration, and you 'll be right back to the game the following day. I say go for it!

Congratulations! I'm glad the DH acquiesced. I think it would be mighty cool to have a pregnant WLF member--or if there are, I don't know any...but yes, it would be cool to hear about a healthy, fit pregnancy! Anyway, have a great day and glad you and the DH are in agreement and harmony together! That's always a good thing :D

Wow talk about skipping right over a post!:eek2:
I was like WHAT????........Haj is preggers??????.......huh?????
Then I go back thru and see the one I missed. Whew!!!!
Good thing I didn't congratulate you on your prgenancy and look later!!! :rotflmao:LOL:rotflmao:
Glad that things are going so smoothly for you. My dh said no more and GOD said yes and along came My Little Man. Dh was quite shocked and finally came to terms about 4 months in..........but would never ever trade the
T-Man for anything in the world.
He has been an absolute blessing!
Congrats on the go ahead!
And how cool that you will be sooooo healthy during this next pregnancy.

Monday kind of good

So today was kind of good. Good for food and exercise but I have a bad case of UTI and man I am hurting.
I still went and did my exercise, no way I was going to skip boot-camp!!!
So I read this recipe on the recipe thread about an apple pita thing and decided to try it. I couldn't find a yogurt but i substituted with jello pudding, Man it was soooooo good!!!! This is going to be a regular at my house.... and thanks for Mal for the Joseph's pita and mentioning Hannaford. I found them. Boy these are like 60 cal/pita, half of what I have been using!!!
Somehow I managed to keep my calories way below of what I usually do but I am not hungry so it stays low. I am sure I will make up for it somewhere along the line.
So here is my menu for today:
Breakfast: 1 weight control oatmeal (160), 1 c ff milk (90), 1 ww bread (40), 1 tbs jelly (10) ,1 coffee (50) = 350
Snack: 1 c. strawberries (50 ), ½ c. cottage cheese (80) =130
Lunch: L.C. Santa fe style rice and beans (290), 1 ½ c steamed kale (50), 1 plum (35) = 375
Snack: 1 ff lemon yogurt (60), 1 ½ graham crackers (65) = 125
Dinner: 1 veggie burger (90), 2 ww bread (80), 3 c. lettuce, tomatoes, radish, peppers (50), = 220
Dessert: Cinnamon-Apple pita pocket : ½ Joseph’s pita (30), ½ jello ff caramel pudding (30), ¼ of small apple (20) , cinnamon and natural sweatener= 80

Total calories for the day : 1280

Exercise.:. morning: 35 min fast walking on incline on treadmill (215 cal burn) evening : 25 min of elliptical and 35 min boot camp : 460 cal burn = 675 cal burn total.

Howdy Hajani,
My pita 1/2's are 80 cals I couldn't finad any lower boy oh boy my imagination is on the loose now :rotflmao: I made the apple 1 couldn't find carmel apple but found apple pie,I also saw a bannah/strawberry cream fat free yogurt and got to thinking cut up bannahs and stuff the pita's with that and some FF whip cream or the fruit dip or cut strawberry's and use the FF strawberry yogurt there is never ending ideals to the PITA haha!

Anyway congrats on having another gr8 day even with the UTI which took me a few guesses to figure out what it was, hope it goes away soon,Tammy:)

So where's the recipe for the apple pita?

I have a uti right now too - dang! But mine isn't so bad as yours. I can live with it with some tylenol. I meant to get some cranberry stuff (either you can drink it or take it via a supplement) and it seems to help.

Don't let it get too bad though - cause you could end up with a kidney infection.
