Hajni's Diary: I will do it because I can

Awesome attitude Haj! I'm in the same boat with you as far as exercise goes- if I'm not sweating, I don't think I'm workin hard enough :). I'm sure you wont' be disappointed saturday! Hey thanx for the acorn squash recipe- I will try to get my shopping in on sat and prepare it sunday sometime- sounds yummy!

Way to plan ahead!!Ib used to do that and when family ordered pizza I would take my south beach pizza and a lowcal/low fat snack for when the cake and ice cream came around. You are doing so great and ok I know I am a blonde but ummm it didn't dawn on mt that you totally made and went over a 1lb for your HALLOWEEN goal !!******CONGRATS*****8:)

WEdnesday

Thanks Tammy and Yarmiah!!!

As I thought the b.party was uneventful as far as my menu is concerned. They had cheesecake and ice cream cake and pizza. I bought over my little dinner and my slim-a bear ice cream sandwich and i was so full I had no temptation for any of the food or desserts!!!I am so proud of myself!!! It is getting easier and easier to say no to these things. (although once in maintainance I will allow myself to eat desserts sensibly)
So the day was good, kept track on with food and also did my planned exercises. It is so part of my life, I don't even think about it, it is automatic like brushing my teeth.
Breakfast: 1 c ff milk (80), 1 ½ c. Kellogs Special K cereal (180), 1 tbs walnuts (50), 1 coffee (50) = 360

Snack: 1 ff raspberry yogurt (60), 1 kellog cereal bar (90) = 150

Lunch: Amy’s India Palak Paneer (320) , 2 c. lettuce, peppers, radish (45) = 365

Snack: 1 Rice Cake (50) = 50,

Dinner: 2 ww bread (80), 1 veggie burger (90), mustard, 2 c. lettuce, peppers, radish (45), 1 c ff milk (80) = 295

Dessert: Slim a bear ice cream sandwich (100) 1 diet hot chocolate (25) = 125

Total calories for the day : 1345

Exercise.:. morning : 35 min fast walk, 4 incline 3.7mi/hr on treadmill (250 cal burn), evening: 20 min turbo jam (150 cal) 2 miles running (250 cal) = 650 total

Calorie Deficit: 1049

NOw that I am over my Halloween challenge goal instead of sitting back and relaxing, I find myself working even harder than before. Now I have my eye set on that 145!!! And my size 6 pants!!!

The scale does love me this week. I am already down 1.2 lbs from last Sat. and still have two days to go!!
Boot-camp is tonight, I can't wait!! I am looking for recipes that I can modify and make them low calorie. Desserts and such so i won't feel deprived while in maintainence.
Today is so far so good, i was very tired in the morning for my exercise. And the fact that is pitch black outside makes it even more tiring, feeling like it is the middle of the night when I wake up. So many events/holidays are coming up again: first Halloween, then my MIL's birthday, then Thanksgiving then our Friend's baby daughter's first b.day party, Christmas... THis year it is our turn to host the Christmas Party for our friends. We all take turns and last year was supposed to be our turn but skipped it because I was working two jobs at the time close to 70 hrs a week and I just couldn't get ready or do any preparations.. so it is really on this year!!! So I am starting early figuring out the menu and healthy dessert options!!! :)

Hey Hajni!
I finally found my way over here. LOL It only took me like a month and a half!!!!
Sounds like you and the scale are good buddies this week. That's awesome!
My scale is being friendly with me as well. Almost too friendly even.
I got on this morning and it said 206.4 or 6 (Can't remember already! LOL)
I was so in shock that I got on again and again. If it holds out that would be a whopping 4 pounds in one week.
Most be the Biggest Loser is happening at my house this week!:rotflmao:
I have never, ever in my whole life lost that much at once. Well, actually there was this one time when I was really, really sick but that doesn't count!
Sounds like your Holiday season is gonna hit the ground running here real soon. We don't ever have really big things for the holidays since all of my family is me and my mom and all of my hubby's family is about 3000 miles a way in 3 different directions.
Have fun with the recipes and if you come up with a really good one........share it with us!
Catch ya later Gater!

Congratz on your continued weight loss. I know what ya mean about the holidays creeping up- it's almost stressful just thinking about all that has to be done! That's why I really hope there will be a Christmas Countdown, so I dont lose focus and slip up. If Tammy wants a break, I will actually consider throwing a challenge together myself .

Keep up the great work! I don't know what I will do without you:cry: in future challenges, as you will have met your goal!

Thank you Yarmiah!! I think a Christmas Countdown is an awesome idea especially for all the temptations around the holidays. It might have to be a "Christmas not to gain" challenge LOL. Whoever does not report a gain by the end of Christmas week is a winner and gets all the points. :rotflmao:
I think I would lose that one!!
As for no future challenges, psst don't tell anybody but I am thinking about adjusting my goal to 140. I will make the final decision on that one once I reach 145. I figure it will give me "wiggle room" so I can gain a couple of lbs and still be where I want to be you know?
Thank you for your continued support!! I am so glad I made so many friends here and received so much support!! As for reaching my goal, I am planning to stick around after just as well, to keep myself on track and follow my friends progress.
Hope everybody is having a great day!!!

Howdy Hajani,
I am just dropping by to wish you
a wonderful day and I will check back later to scope out the MENUE.:)

HEY!
I can't believe I wasn't subscribed to this thread! Sorry that I have not read through to catch up, but I'll be here from this point on! (At least until life takes over forumtime )

You broke up with your scale? :rotflmao:

It must not have shown you a nice number, but we all know that scales "lie". Anyway, I've been trying to play catch-up and you are doing awesome!

Busy Friday

Wow, thank you Tammy, Heather, Valerie, SweetPea for stopping by!! I appreciate all your support!!
So nothing about work today, it is over and that is a good thing. After work we went grocery shopping finally so now I have more fruits besides apples! Also I am trying a couple of different things that I have not tried yet. Found some 110 cal bagels, they don't really look too promising but I haven't tried them yet. :) (Look like they were soaked in water then left out to dry..kind of wrinkly and very pale. LOL)
I did not do as much exercise as planned I just feel tired. At least I talked myself doing some after we came home. The scale did not show this morning what I wanted to see but looking in the mirror did. I am getting there!!

Weigh in day!!

Ok, the scale and i are back together :rotflmao: 148.4 this morning. I am happy!! I was expected to lose 2 lbs based on my calculations but I was getting bloated in the last couple of days so this is actually still pretty good. Loss of 1.4 lbs this week. If I keep that up, I should be around 145 and some by the end of Halloween challenge!!
I think I am going to post a picture later on so I can show the difference.
I have to run lots to do, but I will check back later.

Saturday, kind of blah day

Today was just not what I planned. Got up early, baked apple crisp, sheperd's pie, muffins, mock-chicken salad all for DD and DH for the week, some more cooking tomorrow. Even after I got up I just felt exhausted. I think the work-week finally caught up to me. I was so stressed out all week. So my whole day continued like this. Me feeling down and exhausted, my DD just being a two year old and DH working outside on our house. Initially I was going to do some exercise but I couldn't talk myself into it today. So I just took a rest day. On top of that I was very hungry all day. I kind of contained myself and did not go over my calories but kept having spoonfulls of food and I don't usually do that while I cook for the family.
So all and all today was not so hot. I hope to be back to normal tomorrow.
Breakfast: French toast: 4 slices ww bread (160), ½ c. ff milk (40), ½ c egg whites (33), 3 tbs ff cream cheese (45), cinnamon and natural sweetener, 4 tbs ff whip cream ( 30), ½ c. strawberries (25), 1 coffee (50) = 383. I am stuffed!!!
Snack: 25 grapes (40), Kellogs special K bar (90) = 130
Lunch: 2 ww bread (80), 1 tbs peanut butter (100) , 1 ff vanilla yoghurt (60) = 240 + all kinds of little spoonful of food while I was cooking for DD and DH today.
Snack: 1 cranberry-orange muffin (150), 1 fruit bar(25) =175
Dinner: 1 c. ff milk (80), 1 ff vanilla yoghurt (60), 1 c. frozen mixed fruits (70) 1 plum (35), 1 ww ice cream bar (110) = 355
Dessert: 1 jello (10) =10

Total calories for the day : 1443 + some this and that I don’t remember, probably like 1600 cal all together.

Exercise.:. none, taken a rest day

Calorie Deficit: 130? more like none.

I swear Hajani,I drool over those menues of yours.
Is that the topping you made for your frnech toast
instead of syrup(ff cream cheese cinn, sweetner, whip cream?
If not I would love to make that and try french toast again
made healthy,I can't do syrup even if I tried I bought smuckers
sugar free and I gagged I have reasons tho (long story)anyway
O am jotting that down may be good to dip fruit's in that as well.

Congrats on the scale being nice again!Your "ROCKING" Tammy:hug2:
