Good-Bye Past - Hello Tomorrow!

I am sorry that you are getting so much problems with the latest bite. Have you got any antihistamines that you can take. You need something like that to try and fight the poison. I get piriton tablets from the chemist and that normally helps. You can normally get a cream that helps too.

Mozzies always have a party when they see me. They all sit down to dinner.

ooh now I see what the problem is, I thought you meant you hurt your back when I replied in our red team thread. If the red area around it gets larger or if you see a streak get to the ER asap. It might not be a bite it could be a bacterial infection adn there are some nasty ones out there now, not the least of which is the MRSA that is all in the news, they can swab the sore and culture it to see if its bacteria. This most often happens if you have a sore or scratch that gives the bacteria entry route. If it is abite you might try taking benadryl.

YOu are doing really well, keep up good work. oh btw I LOVE LOVE LOVE nachos and I would sooo be digging in if I was there!

Hi Ladies. :hug2:

Thanks so much for your thoughts and concern.

>>>>>>

Whelp,

I'm dressed and off to the store.

I will probably not be on-line again until tomorrow.

Our company will be here until it's Cory's bedtime for school! {10:45PM} lol

Tomorrow is his first day back after the holiday break.

Have A Great Sunday Everyone. :)

- Stacy

Well,

I did give in yesterday and had all the B-Day junk.

I'm not upset though bc I did try to get in the right mind-set but it was just too hard with all the cooking/smells/company and so on.

I still have many reasons to be proud of myself though.

The way we have always done the nachos is to layer in a bowl.

Chips - Seasoned beef - Green Onions - Tomatoes - Queso

Repeat.. This way all of your chips have the goodies on it.

You end up with a huge bowl of nachos.

I only did the first/only layer. {moderate serving.}

When it came to the pie, I had 1 normal serving.

Usually it's the big hunk serving..2 servings in one.. lol

I had 1 normal scoop of ice cream instead of 2-3 huge blobs.

At least I was able to have control, and I'm proud of that.

My total cals for yesterday were 1,485

Not bad at all!

Cory had a great 2-Day Celebration, and of course we enjoyed our night.

It's too bad the first challenge bonus had to deal with "food."

My Cals were fine...

**********

Today is laundry day and cleaning day.

I don't know if I'll be able to get everything done since hubby is off..?

This is also Cory's first day back at school.

It's time to try and get back to the "normal routine" of things again.

My back still hurts, but it's not as bad. It's sore instead of super tender now.

I finally got some sleep lastnight!

Have A Goal Reachin' Monday Everyone!

Hey There Sweet Thang!! Happy to read your feeling a little better. OUCH! a bite on your back, those suckers can hurt!! Did you find out if it was a bite? Or maybe a serious ingrown hair that was really deep? My H gets those pretty bad, especially when he's playing football and sweating all the time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Cory! I missed that, DARN IT! Looks like he had a smashing day to say the least. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Sneeker-Poo (Kim). :hug2:

We think it is some sort of bite.

Since our crazy weather has been in the 70's the past few days, we have seen bugs and spiders again outside.

Guess this is a sign we'll be swamped this spring/summer bc nothing has died. :smash:

I better stock up now on the Skin-So-Soft Bath Oil!!! :smilielol5:

Thanks for the B-Day Wishes for Cory. :hug2:

He did have a great 2-Day Celebration..LOL

Have A Goal Reachin' Monday!

Angel:

Thanks...lol :hug2:

Yep, we all love our 360's!

Have A Great Day!

Sorry about your bug bite! I'm glad it's getting better, though. Can you take Benadryl? That stuff knocks me out--could help with insomnia, too. I'm guessing you can't, though for some reason or you'd have thought of it already..lol. At least you got some sleep last night. :hurray:

Not to worry about the eating Sunday. Your calories were fantastic despite the no-no food. The control thing is certainly something to be proud of. :) Just try to avoid the no-nos for the rest of the week, and exercise your little tushy off to get more pts. I know several people have indulged in forbidden foods a couple of days this week, so hopefully you'll be ok in the challenge. :)

I'm glad Cory had 2 great days of birthday celebration!:party:

When do we get to celebrate yours??

Hi Kimberly. :waving:

I was born on Memorial Day.

May 28th.

Every 6-7 years, Memorial Day will fall on the 28th.

In 07 (my 34th B-Day), It fell on the 28th, so it'll be a while before it happens again. :)

Memorial Day is a very respected holiday/day to honor/remember those that have fought/are fighting/and have fallen in my family.

My PawPaw fought in WW2.

Jan. 7th made 9 years he has been gone. :(

Nannie was very depressed like she always is on the Anniversary.
Bless her sweet lil heart.

We have family members that are serving/fighting now as well.
(My cousins.)

My bite is shrinking and the soreness is fading.
Man, it has been a very painful 2 days!

Thanks for checking on me!

:hug2:

Sorry about your dad HG, that must've been a rough day for you too.

I had these two weird bites when I returned from Miami last time and these bites were so incredibly itchy for weeks. I still sometimes feel a bit of an itch in the 2 spots where I got bit. Its so weird, I've never had anything like this before. Hope yours feels better soon.

Hello Stacey!!!!
Glad to hear that your back is feeling better!
And what control you had with the goodies!!! I am so proud of you.
I agree :iagree: with Kim aka BB that you just need to get out there and get your exercise in and all will be good to go!
Hope your having a great day!
Ciao

Hi Cita. :hug2:

It was my PawPaw that passed.. My dad's father.

My Nannie {dad's mother} is my only grandparent left.

My mom's dad Pappy, died before I was even born. He was 30 years older than my Nana Margie and died of cancer.

My Nana Margie died 13 years ago w/cancer.
Cory was only 9 mo. old.

>>>>>>

I tell ya, we have some nasty bugs around here bc of our weather.

It's still on the mend and I'm feelin' better.

It is still blood red though and looks horrible..lol

bugs?? I hear your spiders look more like rats there, HUGE! my cousins live in Wichita falls and well my sister and their family got together somewhere on the line between OK/TX they rented a party barge and well at night, they said that boat was covered with HUGE spiders, it was nasty!! I'm not scared of spiders, but if they are larger than a wolf spider/tarantula, NO WAY Jose, Kim don't play that.

Good to see your feeling better and your bite is improving. Are you walking today??

LOL Kim..

When I was little, my Aunt Kathy{mom's sister} lived in Kermit, TX.
(Midland Odessa)
OMG I hated going there bc of the stinky oil smell from all the riggs, and the tarantulas were just everywhere!
I remember one time when she picked us up from the airport and we were in her truck heading to her house, there were thousands of them in the desert/on the road. My mom started to roll down the window and I screamed NOOOOOOOOO.....They will hop in here!!!
I was around 4-5..lol

I will be walkin' today if I don't get blown away to OZ.. :biggrinjester:

Are y'all super windy right now?

We have had this wind for 4 days now.
I had to take all my windchimes down and welcome signs down outside. lol
I've had to chase my welcome mats down a few times as well.
*Sheeesshh* :willy_nilly:

Have A Goal Reachin' Tuesday!

My Plans/News:

I'm trying to get chores done, but it's hard with hubby home.

He goes back to work tomorrow.

I also have a hard time getting exercise in when he's home.

I'm going to have ta come up with a new game plan/routine when he's off bc it's driving me crazy!

His work will start slowing down now and he'll be home a lot.

>>>>

I look forward to the 2nd episode of Biggest Loser tonight!

I just love that show and get inspired each week!

Dinner tonight will be the Grilled Italian Chicken - Rice w/Peas - Salad
WW-MG Rolls.

Didn't get to make it lastnight bc the chicken was still frozen!

I didn't notice that hubby placed it on a metal cookie sheet.

Meats will not thaw when placed on anything metal. lol

I will try to get things done today and exercise, but who knows if that will go well/as I have planned.

Sounds like a great dinner to me!! Lots of good nutrition and value.

Hey, do you own any exercise equipment at home?? Maybe a stationary bike or small treadmill would be good on those days when the hubby is home.

Nope..

I want a spin bike/exercise bike so bad!

Have not had any luck finding one via Yard Sales.

Craigs list has not been helpful either bc they are either 80 years old :smilielol5: ; or they are new models and the people are only knocking off $20-30 off Original Price.

We do not have room for a treadmill.

I cannot afford a gym membership.

I have checked every YMCA here and none if them have indoor pools.

They are still high as well but it could be managed better.
I have no interest now though bc of them only havin' outdoor pools.

The main reasons I'd want to visit a gym or the Y is for the spin bike and pool.

With my RA, the pool would be fantastic, plus great exercise for weight-loss.

Yeah, have you checked online for used bikes? maybe the paper, if I lived closer I would look for some with you or for you. Sorry your having trouble locating a good one, for a decent price. That stuff is expensive, so it's good to get your money's worth.

Hey there - it has been awhile - Im sorry about your bug bite and glad to here the bday celebration went great:):):)!!!And :hug2:s to your nannie:)

If you can't afford a gym membership what about just droppin in a couple times a week ???

You can drop into spin classes like once or twice a week for what about 10 bucks...I understnad udgets adn such as I am a single mom of two but also think of it for your self....10 bucks a week for your happiness nad health isnt alot...My mom once said soemthing to me - it was about face was I wanted to buy that was liek 11 bucks and i didnt feel liek I coudl afford it or should waste money on it and she says to me - you don't think you are worth 11 dollars - lol...Ive always had to justify to myself the money i spend on myself as I have the two girls and only one income an dit use to be a much smaller income...

I joined Curves a few years ago adn I couldn't afford it it initially so I talked the them and worked out a payment plan that wourked for me - i paid off the joining fee of like 300 bucks in about 5 or 6 payments...what i could afford and when i coudl afford it...
