Sorry you had such a rotten day, sweetie. :( Maybe you can take ZuZu out for a long walk next time. At least it would be a distraction for both of you for a little bit if weather permits.

Mal's idea of the free 8 week thing is great if you can do it. That would get you into March when the weather should improve. I noticed today that our local high school and middle school open up early before school and in the evenings 3 days a week so the community can walk around the indoor track and hallways during the winter. I wonder if any of the local schools in your area offer that. It's not a bike or a pool, but it is getting out of the house. :D

I'm so excited!

I finally get to use a dern spin bike and go swimming!

This is gonna help me lose a lot of weight in 8 weeks!

Offer ends tomorrow {the 11th} by midnight, so hurry!

This is truly gonna get my butt in gear re: stepping up exercise and doing the best I can w/calories.

Just what I needed bc I have felt the depression/stress creeping back in with me.

It's such a shame my first day there won't be till Tuesday.

Cory has Choir events Friday/Weekend and I have to also get the closet ready/empty for the worker's on Monday.

Of course Monday they will be here all day. :rolleyes:

My last day will be March 3rd.

That's true--cigs are so freaking expensive you could easily pay for a membership with that $$. And it's much healthier. I know smoking can be a stress reliever, but exercise is a much healthier one. :)

If you've been smoking since you were very young, that's all the more reason to quit. I'm sure I don't need to tell you how bad for your health it is. In fact, I would say it's much more important for you to quit smoking than to lose weight atm. I mean, your weight isn't so bad that it's endangering your health. The smoking puts you at all kinds of cancer/emphasema risks.

My gran smoked for about 40yrs and quit cold turkey with no patches or gum, etc. It can be done. :grouphug:

Remember, I did reach a new low before the holiday's which was 172.0

I hope to pass that next weigh in for a NEW Low again!

It's much harder when you have 3 disorders that deal with your nervous system though.

Withdrawl is that much harder.

I cannot use the patches/meds/etc bc they make me very ill.

I have no choice but to try each time Cold Turkey.

Hubby has to agree to do it with me each time as well.
Sometimes when I'm ready - he's not.

I know some way - some how it'll stick and work out.

The time is not now though bc I know I'd turn to food/snacks to replace the ciggs.

I need to get more weight off before I try again.

It is great news that you got some sleep. I know that it can be really difficult if you do not get enough sleep. I always feel ill if I havent slept. It has been a problem for a long time for you.

Well done on the weight loss. 172.9 is brilliant.

be very careful with the herbs you're taking and check with your doctor or pharmacist to make sure they will not interfere witih any of the medication you might be taking for your other disorders... some of the herbs do... and can cause reactions you might not want...

just because it's herbal doesn't mean it's safe... ephedra is herbal...

just be careful with what you're putting in your body...

oh yeah and nicotine is a known stimulant :) that will effect your sleeping - so if you aren't going to quit smoking - then at least stop with the cigarettes a few hours before bedtime...

I cannot take any drugs at all.

The only meds my body will take in with no horrible reactions are antibiotics.

Plus OTC stuff.

I have several Herbal Books/Dictionaries/On-Line sites I read often.

I have been taking herbs and learning about them for years now.

I also speak with a pharmacist since they have more knowledge when it comes to meds/herbs than a doctor.

That's fantastic news about the gym and the free trial period, I hope your able to go often, as I know how busy you get during the week. I think once you get started your going to be addicted and not want to stop. YEAH! it will be a nice change for you, and your body will probably show it right away, since you haven't done that type of stuff in a long time.

I was also pleased to read that you got some good sleep in, thank gosh for that! Hopefully, it will help out when your having future episodes of sleep loss.

I am sorry to see that you have been eliminated from our team. I do hope that you are going to join the parallel challenge. Almost all of us will be eliminated before the end - that is the nature of the game. Before long we will all be in the parallel challenge with you.

I am so pleased that Kimberly is running the parallel challenge.

Points this week should be really easy - I think that you just need to have baked beans on toast at lunchtime and you are done! It should be much easier than trying to avoid birthday party treats. Pears have tons of fibre too!

My legs are in the worst shape - That is going to help.

Plans: Nothing exciting. I have to clip coupons from 3 Sunday papers today - go throught he house and see what's missing/out of - make list - go to Super*Target for the big visit.
I can't wait to stock up with meals for the new grill. I just love that thing. :)

Sunday will be a complete pain bc we have to remove everything from master closet to get ready for the crew on Monday. :rolleyes:

My place is spotless so I hope they are ready for MY thoughts on "clean up" when they are through. :D
They will not leave until I think everything has been picked up/cleaned up.

For me, they put too much pressure on me and I feel deprived for some reason..? lol

I guess that's why I have always done so poorly.

I don't like the "failure" feeling that follows either.
I'm just an odd ball since the chall. helps everyone else behave and do well. :)

haha i felt that last week. and the day i did misbehave i misbehaved badly and ate evrything i knew i wouldn't be able to for the rest of the days...whereas on normal days i wouldn't have had half of it...wierd.

soori to see you leave the challenge but seems like you've got everything planned and its better for you...so good for you!

i hopr them builders leave the space spotless!
