From My Couch To A 5K... And Beyond!

Yeah! A 24.0 BMI! Nice.

I said for the longest time that once I got to 150, I would see how I felt about it and decide what to do from there...

Well I'm pretty close to it now, and I already know that I am not finished.

I've decided to give the 140's a try!

:D

Woman, you know it!

I've never given Survivor a chance, but I'm a slave to Lost!

:D

Last night's Lost epi was AWESOME! That scene in the cabin with Claire, Locke and Christian was just bizarre. How the hell are they gonna move the island?? :D And what's going on with Claire and Christian--just a few of the mysteries. Have you been to the LOST thread in off-topic? You should check it out. :)

I'm sure you'll make it to the 140s in no time. You're a weight loss machine! The running seems to have kicked it into high gear.

For those of us not up to date on Lost, please keep all comments to the Lost thread. I just finished season 3 on DVD. I'm very curious, but I have to watch the whole season at once. Waiting week to week is just too much for me.

Well, that's your fault/problem! ha :D This is Tyly's diary, and if she wants to talk Lost in it, she can. :) But if Tyly wants me to shut the hell up about it, then I will. ;)

I was thinking about you today when I was running. I haven't been running in just over a week, and no workouts in the last four days, so I didn't know if I could complete the 5 miles again. I knew that you'd be doing your 5 miles today, so I wanted to be able to say that I completed mine.

Thanks for the inspiration.

Hey everyone!

I know I have pretty much vanished, but check out the schedule I am working with this week:

Monday: afterschool staff meeting
Tuesday: afterschool computer meeting
Wednesday: afterschool inventory
Thursday: afterschool summer school meeting (4:30-7:30!)
Friday: afterschool summer school meeting (4:30-7:30!)
Saturday: summer school meeting (8:00-2:30!)

Craziness!

Plus, keep in mind that I have a commute to and from work! Hopefully that helps you all understand why I have been a bit sparse. I am actually posting this at 6:10 am, because I don't know if I will be able to later today. Not only do I have the meeting afterschool, but today is Career Day for the kids! We will be checking out presenters all day long. End of year+Career Day+Friday=Crazy kids! Ahhh!

Don't worry, I have still been keeping up with my eating... exercise has fallen off just a bit, because I have a hard time fitting it in. I know, I know... excuses, excuses. But really... I have had some long days!

I am REALLY excited, because I now wear a size 6. Yep, it's true! I tried on a bunch of 6's, and they all fit perfectly, so I am thrilled to no end about that. I couldn't buy any at the time, but they fit! I can't even believe it. It's so weird that I am now smaller than my "skinny friend", but I still haven't wrapped my head around that. In my mind, she is, and always will be much smaller than me! Physically it's not true, but I need to grasp it mentally! I was telling James when we go shopping this weekend (nothing fits!), that I am going to instinctively go after 10's and 12's... I still can't believe I am in a 6! And in medium shirts! Pure madness! :)

Plus, I am closer to my mini goal of 150! I would like to say next week I'll be there, but I'm not sure, because TOM is coming up. But it'll be soon, I hope!!!!

Gotta leave for school...

Have a happy Friday!!!!!

:D

I can't believe the weight you've been dropping!!!??? I mean, if I recall correctly wasn't there a bit bigger gap between our weights? You're going to lap me... plus you're even taller. You must be one hot little thang. Size six? Those don't even appear in my dreams. You are doing so amazing. Has the running been the secret to you're success. I've still been running 3-4 days a week, but my weight is doing weird things and kinda leveling out. Hoping the running will kick in a bit, soon!

Great Job. Big, giant, humongous hugs you're way!!!

WoW! That sounds like your very busy, hang in there ;)

Size 6

That is so awesome! Your goal of 150 is definitely right around the corner.

Size 6!!?? :svengo:

Woohoo!!

That is freakin' fantastic!

Sorry you're so busy. Hope you had a good weekend and will be back soon.

Ha! I would love to say it is, but lately, I have been a lazy butt. Well... busy, not lazy. I am bound and determined to work exercise back into my schedule. I'm going to have to force myself, but I know I will be happy when I do.

Thanks, handsome! 150 probably won't be this Friday (TOM coming), but hopefully it will happen next Friday! I don't really deserve it though, because I haven't been exercising! It actually makes me feel sort of guilty to be losing without actually "earning" it...

Size 6!!?? :svengo:

Thanks!!! It's not as fantastic as your amazing walking skills!! :D

Look at all the great stuff going on in here!

Size 6s

150 lb mark right around the corner

Keeping rocking it!!!!

Thanks Steve!

Is it weird that I feel guilty?

I read about so many people struggling to lose weight, and it seems to be relatively easy for me now. It didn't use to be, but it is now. I haven't worked out all week, but I haven't gained anything. There's been a few times that I didn't work out for a whole week, and I still lose weight. I have maintained my eating though it all, so maybe that's why I don't gain (and still lose). I don't want to feel like I don't have to work out to lose weight, even though that seems to be what is happening.

I just don't want to get lazy. I'm not done yet! I'll never be done! I'm really happy with the way I look and feel, so that is starting to make me lazy. Because I am so happy, I am not quite as motivated to push it extra hard.

I can only imagine how obnoxious this post sounds to some...

I'm really not trying to brag or anything like that.

This stuff just clicks for certain people for a multitude of reasons. Some people just learn to be good at it naturally. Others are 'physiologically wired' to succeed more easily than others.

Regardless, enjoy it.

And you seem to practice that thing I type in almost every single post I make on this forum: CONSISTENCY.

I appreciate that, Steve! Truly.

I will give myself that I am very consistent with my eating. Normally I am also consistent with my exercising, but every now and then I have an off week. Even if I do have one of those off weeks, I still maintain the eating. I think that really helps.

I appreciate it! :)

I have off weeks too.

Some planned, which we all should.

Some where I'm just not into it.

It's allowed.

Consistency doesn't mean you're 'on' 100% of the time. That's nor possible or appropriate.

Consistency is, over time, being able to push ahead and do what must be done to realize the goals you have set for yourself.

Wow.

That is EXACTLY what I needed to read!

Some off weeks are planned / anticipated, and some are me just not being into it as well.

Thanks!

I don't feel guilty about it anymore!

:)

Glad to hear. :)

There are times where I am planning on training. But my mind or body is suggesting otherwise. Over time we develop a keen system of bodily feedback.

If I don't feel into it or I have some aches and pains... I'm skipping a workout. Possibly an entire week. A weeks worth of missed training is not going to erase what the years and years worth of foundational consistency has laid.

Hey Tyly.. I have had a few weeks of unexpected "off" time too. Getting back into the gym this week though and back to my running.

I hope you are doing well. When does school get out for you again?

Hope you are doing well!
