From alpha testing to the QUERCUS 200

Took the day off from running yesterday.

297.6 for week 6 of 60-90 weeks is -0.4 pound this week -13.4 pounds for 6 weeks and -35.6 pounds for the year. My average is now -1.6 pounds per week. That's 250 pounds by the end of the year at that rate.

I'm disappointed at my small loss this week as I didn't stray on diet or exercise. It's either water retention or last week was abnormally low. I ran super hard Thursday and sweat so much yesterday in the field. I thought this would make for a super weigh in, but maybe my body has retained water in response to the increased effort. We'll see.

2,300 calories yesterday.

So I realized that I haven't tried on pants in a while. I took detailed notes on 3/30/2014 the last time I tried on pants that were either from when I was lighter or bought intentionally too small as "goal pants".

So new pants that fit today that did not fit 3/30/14 when I last tried them on:

38x32 black jeans

These have never been worn and they would not button or zip on 3/30.

Levi 550 38x32

I wore these last when I was 275.

36x24 loose fit jeans x2

Never worn before.

38x34 reg fit jeans
A little loose in the waist and fit in the legs.

38X34 double front dungarees

I wore these work pants at 275.

36x34 firehose pants

These work pants are made out of the canvas used to make firehoses. I got these for xmas years ago, but this is the first time they have fit. These will be great in the thorny brush of south Texas.

38x34 work pants
Never worn before. Cheap Carhartt knock offs that look well made and now that they finally fit I'll be able to find out.

38 shorts

I had another pair of the same brand, color, and style that fit on 3/30, but they are a bit loose and these finally fit. Worn at 275.

Size large nylon warmup pants.
I think these were bought by mistake at some point, but they have never been worn.

So 10 pairs of pants that now fit. All of the remaining pants that are too small are "goal pants" that I bought when I had starved myself down to 275. Doing it right this time and 6 pairs of pants fit at 296.4 that were too small at 275. That doesn't make much sense to me, but that is the reality. The remaining pants are mostly size 36 with one 34 and one 38.

Now to retire some of the 38s that are too big.

I realize that my pant size is really small for my weight and so I likely won't go down much more if any in pant size. I'm still mostly in 2xls with more xls than ever in shirts soI really look forward to smaller shirts. I do have comparison shots in a shirt that I will put up sometime.

You must have an enormous wardrobe/closet Q! Look forward to the comparison shots.

Cate I am a little embarrassed to say that my wife and I share a giant walk in closet and have our own dressers too. I never get rid of any clothes. Ditching the clothes that are too big has been a really big adjustment. In my defense I have to have a separate set of clothing to wear for work from my normal clothes. I do have too many clothes though.

Didn't run until 11, but it was still hot and humid.

Run

2.34 miles
142 bpm avg hr

<2,300 calories for the day.

Run

Was recovery pace, but it was humid and hot so it still sucked. 3pm was a bad choice, but I realized it is supposed to storm this evening and got it done.

The difference in the fit of the shirt is striking. And obviously facially there's a huge difference. Well done.

As for the ear ornaments...

You look amazing Q! And you are engaging in what must be one of my all time favorite activities...putting on smaller clothes! Yay you! :hurray:

Looking good Q. I suggested both our sons get their ears pierced, to no avail. I like ear-rings on men (& women) but hate those horrible big things inside the lobes(ear lobe gauges or stretches). They make me shudder whenever I see them. Your facial hair suits you too! Cheers, Cate.

We are lucky q that the Texas summer is a little late this year. I am in better shape and 25 lighter than last year so I'm thinking it will be easier to fight through it. Good job dude. Keep it up!

Thanks Cate! My earrings are gauged actually, they just aren't huge. I like the weight of gauge piercings, but I need for the hole to be closed and not too noticeable for work. I don't like the large stuff either. I don't want t to have a hole you can see through when they are out and I don't understand going so big that you can't wear actual rings.

The stubble is on my wife's behalf. I prefer a longer beard, goatee, or to be clean shaven.

Yeah Brawny mid June is pretty late to just be getting into the 90s. Hopefully we can have a bit of mild weather still, but I'm not holding my breath. It's going to get a lot hotter too. Being lighter will help and being hotter will help get us both lighter too. Be safe!

You can see a difference on your chin and on the stomach area as well. well done! :)

P.s: The beard + earrings look is simply awesome. :D

Only just saw your new pictures: that´s a massive difference in the waist in such a short time, you must be doing something very right!

Thank you Brawny! Thank you LaMaria!

I ate a cheat meal today at lunch, but I should still hit calories for the day.I haven't decided whether to run tonight or not. Yesterday was a real grinder. The heat may force me to take more rest days.
