Flumes Journal....

Well today was a pretty good day.

Got a haircut and went to the cottage and mowed the lawn and weed wacked. (Nope, didnt smoke any)



food today was....
Brekkie - oatmeal w/banana....I'm getting wild huh?
Snack - none
Lunch - Turkey sausage with fresh spinach in a wrap...no dressing.
Snack - protein drink
Supper - leftover kids burger patty (no bun) some of my wifes leftover chicken chow mein, (no noodles), and a spinach salad (with the wrong dressing...not very good with balsamic parmesan dressing....shoulda went with the California).
Snack....gonna be tuna and cottage cheese later.

now....gotta put the kids to bed and then I get to peruse a few diaries with a rum I think.

The northern lower peninsula...the Traverse City area. I've lived here my entire life. Sad..huh? hahaha

We're up in the Sault. (The Canadian Sault lol) Lived here most my life too....(double sad! lol)

We've been to Traverse City a few times....Cherry pickin of course and Great Wolf Lodge for the kids. Loved goin to Boones too!

Ahh.. I've also been to the Canadian Sault..lol! It's been years though..lol. We have Cherry Fest coming up soon. :) And yes...everyone here loves Boone's....lol!

Oh my god, that's so much money!! That's like...2 days wages for me!! Can't wait til I pop some babies out and they will grow up and love old horror films like me and I will spoil them with yummy popcorn. American popcorn is so much better than british stuff. You can put like toppings on yours, right? Like..add your own butter? Maybe that was just this one place I went to in LA.

Anyway, yay for healthy food and achy legs and keep up the super work Flumebot <3

My kids love horror films too. Specially the youngest. But I feel weird, (like a bad parent) if I took them to see horror flicks at the theater! lol
So I take them to see the funny movies, and d/l the horror flicks for home!

And yes....theater popcorn is awesome...and we can add butter and any seasonings....natcho cheese, dill pickle, salt and vinegar etc
But I just love plain old fashioned. :)

Well today I didnt get to the gym but I did wrestle with 4 concrete curbs weighing 700 lbs each. (Borders for the road at camp)

Anyways food was great today.
Oatmeal with Banana Brekkie
Chicken Breast with a huge bowl of lettuce and arugala
Tuna and cottage cheese snack
Turkey sausage and roasted red peppers and 1/2 yam for supper
2 oz kolbasa snack
Under 2000 I hope lol

Oh yeah. Figured out the album thingy on here....and added a pic.

You are doing great Flumes!!

I'm so proud of you! All that healthy eating is really paying off. And even when you don't get down the gym you are always doing manly things like lifting heavy bits of concrete or wood!!! I'm sure there's a group of people that go around leaving these thigns lying around or telling men to "Can you just move that from there to there please?" so they get to feel manly and utilised!! Thinking about it, I'm sure this "group of people" are women...!!

My friend spends several months a year in the Sault (Michigan). He says it's a great part of the country. Cold winters though.

Your eating and exercise are looking really good. I have a serious popcorn addiction, but I read somewhere that of all the grains, popcorn has the largest amount of antioxidants, so I don't feel too bad eating it. Also lots of fiber.

It is nice here...I just think I'm bored of it lol. I haven't travelled much...but I know of at least a dozen places I'ld rather be lol. Yes the weather is cold here compared to most places in the US...but it would be worse if it wasn't for Lake Superior...it seems to temper the cold quite a bit, (but add a bit more lake effect snow).

As for my eating an exercise...you are like a drill sargeant compared to me! I love your methodical diet. And you have done sooooo well! Congrats.
Cant wait to reach my goal as you have! Well done!
 
So last nite I went to sleep hungry...first time in years I think.

Wifey and I had chicken breast with a large garden salad for supper ..and I walked away before being tempted by the kids pizza lol.

Then I took the kids to the park to give wifey a break. (the kids poured her a beautiful bubble bath and had picked a shopping bag of rose petals for her to soothe in....((I taught my boys well on how to get on mum's good side)) )
I then bought the boys Oreo McFurries and I didn't even want a taste! lol (I'm getting soo good....normally I would have had one myself, (along with the double quarter pounder meal xlarge fry and xl coke and a mcchicken side)! lol) (what a pig I was! lol)

Anyways...when we got home, I had a drink...(and normally have a snack before bed.) Well, I didn't feel like all the sodium in tuna and cottage cheese and thought skip it...have a large water instead and off to bed to crash.

I then had the widest dream of chasing something (or being chased) around an island....and woke up at 1:30 AM having to get rid of all the water I drank.
So, sleepy eyed, I then jump on the scale and......

Drum roll please........

203.8


That means I have surppased the 20 lb lost mark!! (21.2 actually :) )

:beating: Gawd I love my bathroom scale! lol :beating:

I was sooo thrilled, I couldnt fall back asleep till after 4:00 am! lol (And then had to be up by 445am for work! lol)

So today is going to be a smiley (albeit a sleepy smiley) day.

Brekkie was oatmeal w protein powder, banana and blueberries
S - gonna be tuna and mixed veggie salad
L - gonna be turkey sausage and spinach salad
S - gonna be fruit (apple and cherries)
D - gonna be surprise from wifey so expecting a few cals over. (If not dinner than the wine afterwards :)
S - well see

You're late night pee and weigh in session had me cracking up :) But seriously NICE job on hitting that milestone!

I also saw your post in sugarplums diary and wanted to say thank you for posting that. It made me feel better for sure to know another couple who had children late in life with no issues. Makes me feel like I DO still have time, lol. Anyway can't weight to see how much more you lose by friday :D
