Weight: 229.6 - Round 6, Day 13. I've adjusted my calorie expenditures from biking to a very conservative 10 calories per minute, or 600 calories per hour, even though my HR monitor is reading around 800 to 900 calories per hour. This means I have a month to date deficit of 1,903 calories now, and a deficit in this Round of 5,400 calories.
Food yesterday came to 2,255 calories:
Fat: 75 gm, 29%; 13 gm saturated, 5%
Carbs: 302 gm, 51%; 45 gm fiber
Protein: 111 gm, 19%
Alcohol: 3 gm, 1%
With a NARM of 2,326 calories and only 150 calories from exercise, I ended the day with a slight deficit of 221 calories.
Most of the protein came from fish - salmon at lunch, and scallops at night.
I didn't work out yesterday -- my legs were still really, really tired, and I felt like I needed a day off. Today, I'll do my weights 3 workout in the morning, and then go on a fairly decent ride.

Val - One thing we can't forget is that all this data is to some extent a "game" I play. It's like my old statistics prof used to point out about numbers that were carried out to 3 decimal places, when they reflected something purely subjective, like a opinon poll. The same goes for all these calories in and out. In the end, the numbers themselves are not terribly accurate, I don't care how much time you pour into them. They paint a picture, and the overall picture is what really counts. If the numbers help you visualize that picture, if they help make it a reality, then that's great; that's a method that helps keep me on track.
Cym - For a long time, Christmas was my least favorite holiday of the year. For one thing, it was when all my frustrations about weight, and family issues involved with that, would come to the fore, along with a feeling of helplessness in dealing with those issues. Gradually, I'm starting to enjoy those holidays more, but I still like the "shorter" ones better.
