First of May – My New Way

Not neglecting diary or diet, however neglecting exercise, have a deadline Friday and another one Wednesday, it makes my energy and time disappear, smaller deadlines and will not start binging. Just waiting for them to be overwith. Have booked nanny (swim time) tomorrow and Saturday at least - and picked a fitness center I will contact later this month.

Sooo just cannot be on my own without stopping calorie counting. Haven't been counting for three days now and besides I am having the worst hangovers...
Back to the diary!
Head and stomach are killing me, but I managed to swim 1,5 km and bike 6 km this morning. Rest of the day will be just fruits and veggies. Damn Clarissa and don't even blame the deadline for your slacking!

Weight says 141,3 kg and I am back at counting calories. Thinking about writing down what I actually eat and not just a row of numbers in the kitchen..

noting you calories here can be like a control mechanism, I started counting and posting them here as well.

Having this diary sure makes me able to highlite and point out where my flaws and bad habits are hidden.
If I see food containing gluten and dairy I just know I cannot eat it and I really don't see it or want it (why couldn't it just happen to all foods), when I count calories I just think that it's not worth it because it will take too many of my calories and I will end up going hungry to bed. BUT when I stop counting it gets out of hand, one extra slice of bread in the morning and a glas of juice, mayo on everything, snacking piles of chicken at the dinnertable after I am done eating. And I def. drink too little a day as well.
Will log my eating and drinking to night.

So... I have a deadline today, have to work all day, maybe very late too, this is my last deadline this summer and I just have to do it without candy. No more fooling around without taking responsibility ALL THE TIME. Need to get that weight below 140 again - and this week!

Hi! Good job on your progress thus far! Just curious, does your journal name have anything to do with Water for Elephants? Lol, saw first of may and thats the first thing that popped in my head!

Nope, and it's not "Like water for chocolate" either LOL. It's just the date I started and a play on words.

I feel I could have done so much more and lost like 10 more pounds -but then again this is a lifelong process I am in the early stages of and not a quick fix for a perfectionist as I have done so far (all or nothing-thing) which always fails.

I feel the strenghtening of my body slowly every day and even 2-3 days without exercise I will be back to the new normal in 2 days. Slow and steady continuing the improvement of my health. (Actually I must be lucky or something, have been fat since form school and during my three pregnancies I had so much testing for everything like diabetes, natrium level, cholesterol levels, metabolism and whatever one can get tested for, and everything always were normal -besides my weight. Better fix it while I can)

Well, got up at 5 am, the kids are delivered at their childcare services and I have helped out a friend, biked 5 km and am just about to have my breakfast now I have a little time before I have to get my nose in those papers.

Will buy a large bottle of Coke Zero later so I have something to snack on tonight (that will also keep me awake I imagine) my presentation is due tomorrow at 8.30. No sweat I will make it, just have to cancel some of my nocturnal sleep.

Morning: early at 6am banana 100, later a wholegrain millet bun with curryspread, an egg, mushrooms, green peber, cucumber and radishes 300.
Snack: chickenbreast 160, water melon 70, big vegan café au lait 44.
Lunch: smoothie (1 banana, 1 orange, cocoa powder, rice milk and soy protein powder) 300.
Snack: pomelo 80.
Dinner: lentil soup with pumpkin seeds and a wholegrain millet bun with curryspread 400.
Total 1454.
Fluids: ... 0,5 l water and 1,50 l coke zero.
Exercise:
11 km biking and will do 20 min yoga later

Presentation overwith and I had lunch out - the hughest steak I ever seen, fries and lots and lots of salads and nuts from the salad bar + a strawberry dessert. Breakfast was a banana and I only had two hours of sleep so I will not bother making a food list or calorie estimate of today. Just need a very good nap and lots of water.
So relieved right now and rest of this month will be easy and have a ME FOCUS.

You are right Guideon, straight back on track I go!!
I needed the lunch out and the talking.
Just opened a 2 liter bottle of water and did some tidying around the house. I stick to fruit and raw veggies the rest of the day, then I don't think I go over my RMR which is 2100 cals btw.
It is so hot today and the wind is not moving.
Just going to sit a while at the couch and do a walk on the beach later when temperature gets better, if I don't fall a sleep (children at their father's)

Your doing a great job keep it up! I'm feeling a bit discouraged because for the past few weeks weight has been consistently going down and for the past few days i've gone down by .2 pounds :( a loss is a loss, but still! I am dying to get into 'one'-derland. And when I look in the mirror I still look just as fat 12 pounds later :p oh well. Gotta keep going!

Thanks chik, I blame myself for having been between 139 and 142 for weeks now. We have to let it go and focus on keeping up exercising.
Slimming a couple of days and then binging it all back when stressing with a deadline.
Never did the walk yesterday, went to bed at 8.30pm. Woke up at 6am but thunder (and heavy rain) went on until 9am, just relaxed and did my yoga program.
Don't think it would be wise walking on the beach when thunder and am affraid the ipod don't like the rain.
Well a little pass 9 I did my 4 km route on the beach, some jerks had been throwing a bbq down there, furniture, a grill, bottles and litter everywhere - and dug a hole and covered it, I fell in but luckily nothing happened.
It was so hot and damp and I sweathed like a pig, already on 1,3 liters of water, great 'cause I suck at getting water.

I have to say you're pretty inspirational. I've ALWAYS been the nevous type when it comes to public speaking. Having those oral reports in school always terrified me. There are so many jobs that I'd love to try for, but fear of public speaking has always held me back. With all of the presentations you do, that's pretty awesome!

Keep up the good work! :)

Thanks Mandy, the secret is just that EVERYBODY is nervous and that if you're not then you are not taking your performance seriously. Realize that and relax.

God I had a lot of fruit today LOL
Actually I just had half a avocado, I left the party at cake competition time and went to the swim bath and after that I biked by a gas station which lets you wash and pump the bike AND I had even brought a wrench and did a little work on my bike.
Guess I can call this a pretty good day.
Exercise of today in total:
20 min yoga
4 km walking
11 km biking
2 km swimming and stretching.
Feel the muscles building and today I did my 80 lanes aka 2 km 6 min quicker than normal!

I really feel that I gave it all yesterday with swimming, will probably not swim today which I had planned..
So weight says 140,6 which is down 0,7 kg, not much but in the same time I have felt muscle enhancement and I just did measurements 2 inches from hip and 1 inch from waist since last measuring gone. Arms and upper thigh has actually each gained almost half an inch, I see and feel it is muscle so not worried.
