I know that thing about weighing yourself when you are not eating well. I've come to think the way to really beat the damage of not eating well, is to keep on weighing ourselves. I think it get you back on the wagon sooner rather than later.
But good on you for getting back on the wagon and back on the scales too.
Those scales are your friend. They will give you the motivation to "be good". That's what happened to me this year.
