Ok, gonna try and get a post up on here, but there's a good chance I'm gonna fall asleep in the middle of it! Although, if I do, that means I'll end up dropping my phone on my face (happens way more often than it should - tell me I'm not the only one
) which will make wake up and then I can continue writing, so I guess I have no excuse!
Had a great day yesterday, after work I met up with my really good girlfriend, Jaime, for dinner. She suggested going to a place that is pretty notorious for serving the kind of meals that leave you unbuttoning your pants after you finish them, so I asked her if we could please go this little Mexican place that serves really good chicken salads, and she agreed! Salad was probably 300 calories... and that might not have been the only selling point for the restaurant - there happens to be a frozen yogurt place next door, so we had to hit that up on the way out. But I grabbed the small cup and got the fat free dairy free yogurt and limited myself to only fruit toppings (that was hard! It was one of these places where they let you self serve hundreds of different toppings! - i.e. a trough
) Now, this was a really big deal for us because we have always been binging buddies - the two of us have done some absolutely terrible things together. Even when we are both being healthy at the time, when we get together, we just can't help it, we always slip up! But, not yesterday! So I am proud of us
We even managed a workout afterward!! Can you believe it??
I made Jaime do week 1 of the Couch to 5k program. She did not want to- she fought me the whole time- you can't even imagine the complaining! She even tried to tell me that she couldn't run because it would make her fat bounce and cause stretch marks! haha - I told her, oh yeah, I see people all the time and I'm like man, they look absolutely disgusting, they must run a lot! At which she finally gave up and we went out. The workout was hard for her, I remember how hard it was for me when I did that first run too, and the whole time she kept saying, "I hate this" to which I would tell her that she hated being fat more and to suck it up and keep going - I felt like such a little drill sergeant!
So we were done, I was really proud of her, and us for having such a healthy evening. I was sure she was gonna kill me when I left last night so you can imagine my utter shock when I woke up this morning with a text from her that said, "run tonight?" Yay!!
Jaime is about a size smaller than I am so she also gave me a bunch of old jeans she has sitting around that have gotten a little loose on her - this is incredibly awesome because now I don't have to blow money on in-between jeans! She also didn't really want them because they have really flared bottoms, but using my unbelievable seamstressing skills (no, not really, I can barely sew a straight line) I was able to take in the bottoms of the legs and turn them all into skinny jeans. Jackpot!!!
Gonna try and get an Insanity workout in today and then do our run tonight, since we are doing week one, the run doesn't do much for me, I didn't even break a sweat last night! That's kind of amazing considering I remember barely even being able to finish the first day when I started!
Hope everyone is have a great day!

You really are one strong lady

, her music that is, blasting from some girl's ipod as she was sure that nothing could make everyone in that - all of a sudden, noticeably small - room happier than to be subjected to "Hoedown Throwdown" at full blast. I don't think I've ever done my makeup faster in my entire life.
