Really proud of you hun.
I am kinda dreading christmas, i really don't want to gain but dont want to be dull and not have any of the goodies that will be everywhere. Hopefully we can find a happy medium AND we will all be here for each other to deal with the fallout in the new year.
Aww thanks Kate! For sure, if I could lose a pound for every time that my mom says, "it's ok, you need to celebrate during the holidays!", I'd be damn near at my goal! I don't know why "celebrate" has to be synonymous with shoving our faces with food!!
I had been dreading Thanksgiving for months, but I managed to come out unscathed! I think making yourself aware of the upcoming obstacle really helps and keeps you mindful of your goals, and we're strong, we can do it!! (and if we don't, you're right, we'll be here to kick the others ass back into it!)

Love how proud your family was of you!
I know, I love the green! I live in a big ol' cement covered city right now and it's such a nice break!
Definitely consider yourself lucky for healthnut parents! My mom is great, I think she taught me some really good values, but, the only thing that is that unfortunately she did teach me some not so stellar eating habits. She went through a really bad divorce when I was 4 and we just kinda started putting on weight together. Oh well, I'm hoping I can be healthnut enough for the both of us!

I LOVE that show so much. My fiance and I just finished watching the fifth season on dvd, now we have to wait for the sixth season to come out on dvd because we don't have Showtime. Second, I too LOVE video games. I bought Battlefield 3 on Black Friday from Best Buy and am waiting for it to arrive on my doorstep any day now. I also picked up Batman Arkham City (This also came with the first Batman Game of the Year edition) and Driver San Francisco. I loved the first driver on playstation that I figured I had to give this one a shot.
I love your energy and your humor. You're very upbeat and motivated. Reading your diary makes me motivated and know that I can do this too. I'm not alone and there are so many other people who are trying to accomplish the same goal as me.
Check out my diary if you could, I'd love to hear from ya!
Hi Munch!!
Haha, yeah I totally love Dexter!! I always thought he was sexy as hell too, but then he had that affair, and well, I guess not so much now

Now I don't know about you, but I was slightly disappointed with season 5 (my bf can't stand Julia Stiles and totally stopped watching), but just hold out, because so far season 6 has been awesome!! Um.. we don't have showtime either, but just watch it on the internet (unless anyone thinks that's stealing and then, yes, I mean I totally watch it on showtime

)
It cracks me up how many girl gamers there are on this forum! Battlefield 3 has gotten some serious play in this house! You'll have to let me know what you think of Arkham City, we played Asylum and loved it!
I'm really flattered to hear you say my diary motivates you

Of course you can do it! And you know, this forum really helps as long as you are honest and use it to keep yourself accountable. It has helped me so much, there have been so many times where I didn't eat something just because I didn't want to have to come on here and confess!
Thanks for writing, I'll definitely be stopping by your diary!

So happy for you!!
Good job on resisting that temptation while keeping your Mom's feelings in check Let others pick them off - that's a great method! Something I've learned myself after cookies are left over from the occasional Sunday I buy them. My roommate and friends are always more than happy to save me from that temptation, hah

I just have to be careful not to buy them on Saturday, otherwise they could disappear before I have a chance at them on my cheat day :]
LOVE the photos! Omg, I would love to buy a house someday near a creek bed like that. I love the calming sound of water and the little critters to look at while taking walks near it. The house I grew up on was just up the road from something like that! It had a beautiful stone bridge across it at one point! My cousin actually got engaged recently and proposed at that spot! My Aunt hid at a distance and snapped pictures too! lol, I'd post them, but she doesn't have them on her facebook yet.
Anyway, so glad you're doing well, Sparked! And the compliments will only just keep rolling in as time goes on!
3.8lb down?? WHAT! I know you're holding off celebrating until it's official, but
WOOHOO! NICE!!
Oh, and I guarantee there will come a time in the future when you and several other people will blaze passed my current speeds on the treadmill  My machine is locked at 12, but there are others out there that go as high as 14 and beyond!
Thanks Frogged!!
Good call on keeping the cookies out of the house till Sunday, cookies are a serious downfall of mine!
Yeah that creek is beautiful,I love to get out there and really explore it. My grandpa bought the land for all of us to build homes on actually! It's a massive piece of property, somewhere around 200 acres, and it has many levels, so there is room to build multiple homes on it and still not even be able to see each other! And yes, tons of critters! There are deer all the time, and amazing birds, and we even have had a family of woodchucks living in the back for a while, oh jeez and geckos galore... although, that kind of country livin also goes hand in hand with some of the most massive bugs you have ever seen

I saw a spider there once with an abdomen nearly the size of my fist! But yeah, great place, it's funny because it's only been in our family for about the last 5 years, but yet it just completely feels like home to me.
Love to see the pics, bet it was beautiful.. and super romantic! I'm such a girl about that that kinda stuff
Oh and ya know what? The 3.8 held!! Soo..... YAY!!!! official happy dance time!!

good ol' Tennessee!
lol and p90x.....I tried to jump into that on the very first day that I decided to lose weight... got about 1/4 way through it and said "F*CK THIS!" and went and sat on the couch and ate some
cheetos...lol..I was WAY out of shape then, and at 194 lbs at my shortness....psshht....it was BRUTAL....my ol' man walked in, it was still playing on the tv, and I was sitting on my couch with
my cheetos....and he laughed, sat down with me, and we watched it like it was a movie at the theaters, eating our cheetos..lol
But I am in MUCH better shape now...I have muscle in places I didnt even know existed! So I might give it a shot again, it would be a good option than the stuff I do everyday at the gym!
Aww thanks so much Hannah! You should definitely post pictures, I think it really helps! And I am not anywhere close to rocking a size 9, so your pics would soooooooo put me to shame!!
So funny that you live so close to the Distillery! I used to know no one in TN, now I can say I do

Really love it there, it feels like an enitrely different planet from California... although sometimes they move just a little too slow for me there!
HAHA I laughed so freakin hard at the idea of you guys sitting on the couch watching P90X and eating cheetos!! I had been exercising for a while before I started it or I would have straight up laughed in Tony Horton's face on day one. I really do love it though, it's a great challenge. It's funny because your story is kind of what I go through every day when I do it because my totally skinny boyfriend will sit there eating a huge burger and fries while he watches me do P90X.... he's just sitting there on his ass while he says things like, "oh good job babe, I'm so proud of you" or making jokes about dinner and a show.... lol, what a punk ass!
You should give it a shot, I'm seeing a big difference already, I actually have traps now!!
