EG's Diary

You did great with your food & workout!!! I have felt hungry like that all week but I think mine is due to Aunt Flo... boy does she just bug me sometimes! LOL...

Your body is probably just adjusting to getting back on track, so keep with it and I bet you'll be fine in a couple of days!

Good luck today!!!

Your food diary looks a lot like mine does some days! Great job, keep it going. You'll reach your goals in no time!

You are doing GREATT!!!

I love the experiment with the "used-ta-eat" foods......I'm aftraid to try it.

This forum is a wonderful motivator, and it's fun to read other's results.

Kudos! and I'll be checking back often to see how you're doing......

You are right about this forum being a great motivator. I think I would have given up by now if it hadn't been for you guys and gals that keep me going. I appreciate all your kind words.

Today I woke up with a dreadful headache. I had to force myself to work out. I only did 25 min of the 45 min turbo jam because my head was pounding. I weighed in at 219 and I feel really down about it considering that I had gone down to 217. I know it will come off eventually but I just feel bad about it. :nopity:

Anyway I gave up on the exercise then got onto the forum to check it out. I know this might sound corny but after reading some new posts on my diary page it gave me the motivation to go out and walk 2 miles. :auto:

I want to tell everyone how much I appreciate their motivating, kind and inspirational words. If it wasn't for the forum I am pretty sure I would have failed yet again. Even if it's all in my head, I'm glad I found ya'll. So I walked 40 minutes (2 miles) and came home to fix my meals to get ready for work. Here is the menu for the day:

Breakfast: Scrambled eggs (2 whites/1 whole), 3 links turkey sausage, 1/2 cup Malt-o-meal, 1 c skim milk, grapefruit, water

Snack: Mozzerella stick, nectarine

Lunch: Turkey Sandwich (2 slices wheat bread, 2.5 oz deli sliced turkey, 2% cheese, .5 tbsp light mayo, tsp mustard, 3 slices tomato)

Snack: 2 oz baked chicken breast, 1/2 c mashed sweet potato

Dinner: Stewed chicken (2 oz chicken, 1 sm red potato, 1/2 tomato, 1/2 cup broccoli-stewed with garlic, salt, pepper, cumin)

Dessert: Apple

Thanks again to all of ya'll. I wish each an everyone of you much success with your weigh loss.:waving:

Hey there,
Sorry that you are having a bad day. You are right about this forum helping, though. You guys have all motivated me when I have been down.

So, because I know you will get through this, I'm not gonna tell you to keep it up, you're doing great!! (Oh wait, I guess I am gonna tell you that...)

I think The Count (from Sesame Street) said it best, but... "One, ah Ha HA. Two, ah Ha HA. Three, ah Ha HA!"

And that's the way we have to count the pounds we lose... unfortunately, one little pound at a time. :svengo:

:smilielol5:

Very true, and even if it only goes down a half pound... it still went down. That's what I've had to look at when I had a small loss during the week.

Having a support network while you are doing this is golden. I am VERY lucky that I have one with friends and family, but I'm still glad I found this place for the final few.

ugh !

Sorry you had a headache...I hate them.....I'd almost rather break a leg.

You are much stronger than me....if I had a headache, I would have pussed out for the day.:smash::smash:

We're rootin' for you !!! whoop !

I like that. That's a good way of thinking :smilielol5: ....thank you.

I'm feeling alot better about things. I know that my weight is going to fluctuate no matter what. The thing that I've realized and need to keep in my mind is that I'm trying my best to keep up with this lifestyle change and I've been doing very well for myself. And I will continue to live this way even after I hit my goal weight. I have to this and I will. I hope everyone is doing well. Take care.

Don't ask me why but my meals will be the same for a few days until I feel like eating something else and then I'll change it up again. Usually if you see the same meal alot it's because I reeeeeally like it. Then I get tired of it and move onto something else. Is that weird? Hmmmm.....

My Meals:

Breakfast: 2 egg whites, 1 whole egg scrambled, 2/3 c Ore-ida hashbrowns, 3 turkey sausage links all cooked together with onion and tomato

Snack: 1 slice wheat toast, 2 oz chicken salad

Didn't get to eat dinner. :banghead:

Your meals are so healthy. I don't think it's weird at all to eat the same things in a row. I'm the same way. Guess we are just creatures of habit....but good habits this time! What kind of dancing do you do? I'm ordering a belly dancing DVD tonight! Can't wait to start!!!

I'm glad you are feeling better about everything. Yes, it is frustrating when we see our weight go back up. However, we just have to remember that we are not necessarily gaining weight, just our bodies are doing their routine maintenance, water, sodium, etc. Plus, one good thing about being so aware now, is that if you do go up and stay up, then you know that you need to adjust something in your diet & exercise routine.

Obviously we didn't do any adjusting before or we wouldn't all be here complaining about our weight, right? So, that is a good thing that you are aware, just don't let it get you down.

Eat whatever you want as long as it is healthy and you are enjoying it. Like you said, your body will tell you when enough is enough, cuz you will get bored with it and want to move on to something different.

Have a great weekend!!!

Good, glad it's not weird :jump:

I actually just dance. I'll throw in some tae bo or turbo jam moves but for the most part I just kind of dance around and keep moving.

Ooooh belly dancing. I love that. I've been trying to learn on my own but I've been wanting to get DVD's for myself as well. That's really good exercise and works the abs wonderfully.

You are so right about all of that. I hate feeling like I'm dieting all the time. I try to eat as healthy as possible but if I reeeeally want something I just have a taste and that makes me feel better and I try to stay as active as possible.

Hope you have a great weekend too.

Yesterday I just ate when I was hungry. I went to breakfast with my mom and then I cleaned my house and forgot to eat lunch but my body definitely told me when I was hungry so I ate a sandwich and some fruit. Since I've been cooking all my healthy meals for myself I've been neglecting my poor husband. Well, he chooses not to eat what I make and he's happy with his frozen dinners so I don't feel too bad mainly because he's hardly ever home to eat when I do make dinner but anyway I made us a wonderful steak dinner last night (ribeyes, mashed potatoes and corn) yum. He was a happy camper. I did some turbo jam for exercise plus all the house cleaning left me very drained. Today I had a nice breakfast at my mom's house, and ate a sandwich for lunch and some fruit. I haven't eaten dinner yet but I don't know yet what I'm going to eat. I spend all day outside raking and cleaning up outside. I sweat sooooo much and now I feel so accomplished. My house is clean inside and out. I feel great.

Most of my clothes are fitting me better. I have a pair of shorts that used to cut off my circulation. I used to call them my "boa constrictor" shorts. Well, they were falling off of me today when I was cleaning outside. So, I don't feel too bad anymore about my weight going up and down. I know I am doing well.

Good luck to ya'll. Take care and God bless you.

Its a GREAT feeling when clothes that were previously too tight start to fit better, then are too loose! That's part of what keeps me motivated.

:hurray: Yay!!!
