Diary Fitforaking

Oiy...one of my "treats" lately has been the low-fat vanilla soft serve cone from mcdonald's. It's got like 150 calories and 3.5 grams of fat...mmmmmm :drooling:

I've been having a pretty good weekend nutritionally....I've been able to work in some "treats" and still stay within my calorie range.

Also got to play some racquetball yesterday. I probably shouldn't have...considering my foot was still hurting...but I did. A hurt foot really limits my range of motion...it makes it difficult to move laterally...planting my right foot or pushing off can be painful.

But I am encouraged that the pain today is not as bad as it was the day after the last time I played. Maybe it's a slow healing process... :) I may try to play again tomorrow AM.

Hope everyone has a blessed day!

So I had about 2,600 calories on Saturday and about 2,500 yesterday. This morning, the scale read 295.2lbs, which is down from the high of 301lbs last week. Maybe there is something to eating more calories ;)

I was supposed to play racquetball this am, but my playing partner cancelled on me via text last night after I had gone to bed. Bummer...looks like it'll be tomorrow night before I get to play. The foot is feeling better, but not well yet.

Didn't feel good this weekend...getting some head/throat thing that is going around. I still did a little trim work around the house yesterday evening and then did an upper body workout on the bowflex. I let the wife cut my hair and went to bed early for my racquetball game that didn't happen this AM...pretty uneventful weekend.

Today is a new day! I hope everyone has a blessed one!

My new favorite snack... :) actually, I like the cheese cracker ones. Couldn't find a pic of them.

This helps me curb my peanut butter cravings...

yeah i realized i was eating too few calories and need to bump it up. when you don't drink the cals its pretty easy to go under. adding them up i was hitting about 1000 cals, not good when you get 15-20 hours of exercise per week. so i actually had a reuben today for lunch. good times. i think i am about 916 without the reuben. looking it up online the i'm going to assume the reuben was about 600-700 cals, which would put me about 1500-1600 for the day. i have tennis in 30 min then dinner. it'll be a turkey burger and hummus, which is about 300 cals. so i should be fine. i really have to force myself to eat more.. now a days i am so full off of water, i don't eat nearly as much. i've only had about 2 liters today, but i will have another liter before i get home due to tennis. then another half liter with dinner. crazy. so i have to un-starve my body. good news eay is i am hungry like every 2-3 hours which is driving me insane lol.

I used to be addicted to dt. mt dew, it was a hard habit to quit (and they say its hard to quit heroine...try the dew). I switched to dt coke, which tastes bad so I don't drink as much of it.

Feel better soon! Remember to drink lots of fluids...diet mt. dew does not count...lol!

Still feeling awful...maybe 5% better...at least I'm at work today (like that's a good thing?) :(

So my wife definitely believes in "feeding" a cold...I think I was eating chicken noodle soup by 9am! I ended up around 3,000 calories yesterday...which isn't just horrible...but not where I wanted to be.

I didn't sleep well last night...got up at 3am to go play racquetball (began playing at 4:30am). Between being sick and not sleeping well, I had absolutely no energy. I was dragging from the start. We played for about an hour and a half...I finally had to quit. I'm still tired...could probably take a nap on my desk right now.

Even if it wasn't my best effort, I still probably burned between 700-900 calories...so it was better than killing myself on the treadmill.

Fuel intake should be on track today. Just finished lunch and I'm at 766 calories. I'll have some fruit around 2:30pm, dinner and then some popcorn around 8ish. I should be ok.

I hope everyone has a blessed day!

Onward march!

Your supposed to rest your body when you sick, silly boy! I hope you feel better soon, and your wife is good to feed you soup, lots of fluids in that. Go drink some water.

A day of 2,586 calories that included pizza and blueberry poptarts *woohoo* (I know, I know...not the healthiest of choices, BUT....)

With my morning cardio, net calories for the day were about 1,700. I'm pretty pleased considering the pizza and poptarts ;)

heya,
just wanted to say congrats on the weight loss so far! i saw you started at 330...i'm currently at 318 and trying my hardest to get out of the 300club.

will keep checking in here to see how your doing, seems like your doing great....i see you have a peanut butter weakness, me too :( i tried buying a jar of natural peanut butter (several times actually) to factor into my daily food intake, to put it nicely i'll just say it didn't work out for me lol! so i'm steering clear from the PB for a while untill i gather some more self control.

k, all the best xoxo

hey, i just realize we have the same exact goal! i was 330 in january, and i said i wanted to be a lean/ muscular 200 in the end. so i want to re-wish you good luck and feel free to ask me anything since are pretty much doing the same thing.

cherrygarcia,

Thanks for stopping by! It was nice of you to drop in..and come back anytime! ;)

I have learned to not try and deprive myself of peanut butter, but just use LESS when making a sandwich. All I need is enough to taste....not a freaking mouthful of peanut butter. A little bit will satisfy the craving.

kureransu,

Our goals are the same, but our level of commitment has not been :( It is motivating to look and see where you were and where you are now. I have had successes, but have seemed to have strayed from what worked. I think I may be experiencing paralysis by analysis....

I just need to move more and eat less, lol...the knees are feeling "ok"....and the foot is better....just need to get back to the racquetball court!

Btw, nice to meet a fellow non-potty-mouther....:seeya:

So I got really pissed at myself yesterday.

I ran out of coffee at home, so I decided to stop by Burger King on the way to work to pick up a large Turbo coffee. The only thing I like at BK is their coffee...IMO, it's the best "fast food" coffee. I don't like anything else there. I don't like their breakfast...don't like their burgers, fries, nothing. I'm about to order my coffee and my betraying eyes see "Sausage Biscuit $1.00". Now, given the fact that I don't like BK food...and the fact that I really don't eat pork, this should not have been an issue. Ahhhgggg!!! The next thing I know I'm pulling away with my large coffee and TWO (2) dad-gum sausage and biscuits. I'm not sure what happened....I think I must have fast-food-turrets syndrome.

Lady in speaker: "One large coffee...is that all for you today?"
Me: "Yes...that's it...TWO SAUSAGE BISCUITS"....

It's not the first time it's happened. I've blacked out and drove away with fries...sandwiches....marsupials. If you re-arrange the letters of "Lady in speaker" you get "dinsylarekapa" which in the native language of the Fitinese means "Devil". I think the moral to my story is that I need to stay away from the devil-lady!

So to correct the 840 calorie fiasco, I commandeered an emergency game of racquetball. I was determined to not let the Bose Beelzebul stand in my way! Ha! A small victory on my part...but yet a victory nonetheless!

Today...still out of coffee...I stopped by BK again....and drove away with only COFFEE! Yay me...

Small victories=stronger resolve!

Today is a new day! Can't change yesterday....going to get fit for my King!
