Kimberly: Thanks for the nice words! Yes, those cats are pretty happy to hang out on my porch all day, to say the least. My own cat is still recovering from his stitches. Expensive ass thing!

Claudia! Thanks for stopping by anyway, have a good day at work. (must be a not-working-at-home-day)

Mechelle: Thanks! I only care for my pics after I put on some damn makeup! Having a digital camera is nice, and I figure I may as well take head shots of me periodically, to see how I go from young to haggard. HA HA, naw just kidding. I'm hoping the antioxidant rich food is gonna help me out in the long run....and the sunscreen....and the genetics *crosses fingers*

VBF: Oh thanks sweetie! Yes, Baby Teddy is a JEWEL. He is SUCH A GOOD baby, man oh man he didn't fuss at all when I hung out with him. And he let other people hold him and liked it. Little Sagittarius. Social thing! Yes my hair is VERY VERY straight, all the time. And I'm lazy, I seldom do things to it--curling it is a rare thing that happens maybe 8 ties a year. Thanks, this is the nicest house with regard to personality, that I've ever lived in!

Davey: Thanks! Yes, I'm very happy in this house, really a peaceful, nice place to live!

Wow..Lots of GREAT pics! :D

Thanks for sharin'!

Yer so precious! ;)

Thanks for all the helpful tips you've been givin' me! :hug2:

~*Have A Goal Reachin' Day!*~

*Stacy

Monday Weigh in

WOW weight is silly!

Yesterday I was 147, now I'm 148.5! But I ain't worried at all, I ate 1680 calories yesterday and I have a 1700 cal plan for today--a real meal plan on a spreadsheet for me to fill in "actual" next to the "planned". Ah! I feel so OCD! :D I'm probably going to go eat and go to work early, I changed my mind about running this morning--I'm pretty sore and I really think I should give the ol' carcass a rest before weights and yoga tonight. OK, I'm famished, time to get on with my day. Will be back later!:hug2:

Stacy: Thanks, sweetheart! I plan on having a goal-reaching day! Motivation: All time high :D

Thanks for sharing all the great pics Val. I'm stuck after school with 3 of my students writing out the dictionary so I thought I'd make the most of my time.

Steve: Welcome! I like pictures :) And yes, Teddy is a DOLL and he's so smart too! Kids these days amaze me! Course, the kids I see most are from the loins of my intelligent and very good parent-friends, so its some good gene passing I suppose.

Monday, so far....

So satiety with my meal plans is about 80% I'd say, leaving that 20% uncomfortable hunger feeling....it's unpleasant, especially since my tummy ache that kept my hunger at bay this weekend is gone. I feel this is a real test to my will power, especially since my plan is NOT starving myself in any way.

I woke up famished, so hungry my stomach hurt me awake at 7am. I ran to the fridge and carefully poured out 4 oz of Açai juice to quiet my tummy (experience in pouring wine has taught me the size of a fluid oz), and for b-fast I had a serving of organic skim milk yogurt, 2 Hemp Seed waffles, and 2 tblsps of this organic raw chocolate cocoa butter spread that's really expensive but really good, that I just bought. So I had my antioxidants, my fiber, my grains, my healthy fats, and my low-fat dairy. I added some water to the equation and called it a Perfect Breakfast. Um, but my perfect breakfast, although 580 calories (that's right) did NOT fill me up, or even totally satiate me.

Before leaving for work I measured out 1/4 cup of roasted nuts and 1/4 cup dried cranberries for snacks.

Do you know how small a 1/4 cup serving of nuts and fruit is??? If you measure, I bet you do! What a wakeup call! No wonder I gained weight this summer!!! Measuring things is pretty involved, I feel like a werido, but I KNOW it's going to work and it's the only way I can honestly and accurately keep track of things. I NEED snacks or I feel famished and inhale my next meal!

So yeah, so far I've eaten my nuts and cranberries and my leftover Erotic Rice, which a portion of it fell on the floor (DAMMIT!) and I ate what I could (I'm nasty ;)) but totals today are 1300 calories (this is including 2 cups of Jasmine green tea with a tbsp Agave nectar--one cup of which I have not had, saving until about 3pm) and after yoga tonight I put in my meal plan: Meal: eat out, approx 500 calories, for dinner for a total of 1800 calories.

This is a far cry from my usual 2400+, some days 3500---mwah ha ha ha :rotflmao:

Being hungry sucks, but I just have to suck it up and face it until I get more used to this diet (which if I'm a good bunny, shouldn't take that long).

I'm already daydreaming about being at my goal weight of 135 when all is said and done....

Exercise: 30 minute brisk walk with Genie to the beach, 10 minutes of that on the sand.

Plans: Weight training and yoga tonight.

Day 7, no alcohol.

Thanks for sharing all the great pics Val. I'm stuck after school with 3 of my students writing out the dictionary so I thought I'd make the most of my time.

Hi Joe!
Oh man I remember that punishment! They still do that shit? Torture!! :rotflmao: I was a good kid, just chatty--definitely a good student

If you keep up this type of meal plan, I'm most certain you will reach that goal weight in just a short amount of weeks, and NO alcohol for 7 days now. :eek2: When do you plan on breaking that one?? just wondering. I think your doing a hell of a job right now, and right now you sound like Cita did when she was cutting back, WOW hunger sucks big time!! just drink that water girlfriend, it's a good filler, even though it doesn't taste as good as ummmm, strawberries or chocolate. I'm very proud of you right now, excellent job thus far!

 THANK YOU KIM!!!

I plan on not drinking until at least Halloween, but every Halloween I had not drank much because I've always been downtown, and there are cops everywhere, and the costumes are so interesting that alcohol is NOT needed! ;)

I'm drinkin the water as I type! Love ya, VBF! :hug2:

Hi Val!

Your food today sounds yummy! Good for you for sticking to your well laid out plans. Don't worry about the scale going up--you know it's just water or something--but NOT fat. :)

I was wondering, with all the bunny references, if you've ever been a playboy bunny for halloween. You know, like Reese Witherspoon's costume in Legally Blonde. You'd look so cute!!

2013

I walked Genie (burning 170 cals)

I weight trained heavily for a full hour, also incorporating some moderate, higher rep movements (burning about 400 cals, plus the residual increased metabolism I have no way of showing accurately)

I did yoga, class lasts an hour but of course there is shavasana (corpse pose), but then again we were on our feet the majority of this class so (250 cals burned).

All this for a 148.5 pounds woman with a lot of muscle on 1400 calories so far that day and you can imagine I was light headed!!

But I didn't binge for dinner! :D

I got a 350 calorie salmon salad, ate some hard Japanese plum candy, and 3 pieces of dark chocolate with almonds and currants in addition to all the other shit I ate today (for "unexpected extras" I had 170 calories of crackers at 4pm when I was getting desperate) for a total of 2031 calories; 800 burned with exercise for a net of 1231, where my BMR is 1400.

I'm too pooped to figger that all out! AT this point I say FUCK IT!!!

Time to visit Guy I Kick It With During The Week. Goodnight, people!!!

My RMR has got to be at least 1700, so looks like my deficit today was just about 500 calories, which is perfect for a 1 lb a week weight loss....and yesterday I had an even lower number and burned the same calories in exercise, etc., ok I need to go!

OH MAN that is a RIOT. Good point, too....only the best for THIS bunny! No seriously, with regards to macros and nutrients and Omega 3s, I did splendidly and I even had dark leafy greens and cruciferous vegetables in my rice!

I'd LOVE to save a burning village! :D

Thanks Mechelle, I'm a stalwart type of girl--hey, I have SIZE NINE shoes  I can handle it! Thanks for dropping in!

This morning:
I'd love to read everybody's everything, but I feel the need to run. It's not raining right now, the sun's out a bit, and I want to take advantage. It can rain for weeks straight in Santa Cruz County, and I wanna get my runs in before its too late! I don't run indoors. I just don't. MAYBE for 20 minutes, but I HATE the treadmill. AWWWWWWWW I miss Bethann and her t'mill stories  I MISS Sara and her sweetness  TOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!!!!! *howling*

I know where did they all go??? They better come back soon, because I'm missing them in a BIG WAY myself. GIRL if only I could get up and just take a run, I would trust me!! Your so lucky!! Have a good time!

Hey Val, I love reading your workouts. They don't just sound like they keep you fit. They sound like they are also a lot of fun for you :)
